Analysis:Carl Hagelin's speed and energy seemed to cause him being at the right place at the right time all night. One goal was off a point-shot deflection, the other a soft five-hole. The combination of Hagelin, Derek Stepan and Rick Nash created a lot of early energy. Oddly enough, all five of his points on the season have come against the Lightning.

With the Ranger offense slumping early, sooner or later coach John Tortorella will look to shake things up and Hagelin may be the variable if he doesn't start producing.
