Sharks Recall Hamilton

News: Freddie Hamilton was recalled from AHL Worcester on Thursday, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports.
Analysis: He will presumably take the lineup spot of Adam Burish, who figures to miss extended action after undergoing surgery on his hand a day earlier. Freddie Hamilton was held scoreless in his 11 games with the Sharks earlier this season, but compiled 34 points in 50 contests at Worcester.

Sharks Reassign Hamilton

News: The Sharks reassigned Freddie Hamilton to AHL Worcester on Thursday.
Analysis: Freddie Hamilton recorded zero points and a minus-5 rating during his time in San Jose, and will return to Worcester where he amassed 11 goals and seven assists before being called up. The team used the roster spot vacated by Hamilton to activate Tommy Wingels for Thursday's game against the Red Wings.

Hamilton Recalled By Sharks

News: Freddie Hamilton has been recalled by the Sharks on Monday afternoon.
Analysis: Freddie Hamilton is going to have a good pile of frequent flier miles come summer vacation. He was sent to the AHL on Sunday prior the Sharks game against Chicago. One day later, they're calling him back up before they face Nashville on Tuesday.

Sharks Reassign Hamilton

News: Freddie Hamilton has been reassigned to AHL Worcester.
Analysis: After ten games in the NHL this season Freddie Hamilton has yet to register a point. That had to factor in the decision to give AHL forward Eriah Hayes a shot in the lineup as the Sharks are missing many key forwards at the moment.

Hamilton To Start For Sharks

News: Coach Todd McLellan has confirmed that Freddie Hamilton will be in the lineup on Sunday in Minnesota, according to Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area.
Analysis: The Sharks have lost two straight and are hoping the addition of Freddie Hamilton will provide some offense, as he and Matt Nieto will be replacing more physical players.

Sharks Recall Hamilton

News: Freddie Hamilton was recalled from AHL Worcester on Saturday.
Analysis: It's not clear where exactly Freddie Hamilton will slot in for the Sharks in this stint with the team, but he wasn't particularly productive in the four games he played earlier this season, going scoreless on his five shots on goal. The 21-year-old had 10 points in his 15 games with Worcester.

Sharks Send Hamilton To AHL

News: Freddie Hamilton was reassigned to AHL Worcester on Friday, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports.
Analysis: Freddie Hamilton was called up to start on San Jose's top line with Joe Thornton and Tomas Hertl. In four games this season with the Sharks, he does not have a point and is only averaging 11:53 of average ice time in that stretch. He will be available as forward depth with AHL Worcester

Sharks Recall Hamilton, To Play On Top Line

News: Freddie Hamilton was recalled from AHL Worcester on Monday, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports.

Sharks' Hamilton Assigned To AHL

News: Freddie Hamilton was reassigned to AHL Worcester on Wednesday, CSNBayArea.com reports.
Analysis: Adam Burish (lower body) has been officially ruled out for Thursday's opener, but the Sharks will go with the more experienced Matt Pelech as a fill-in rather than Freddie Hamilton. It's a bit surprising, considering the team sent Pelech down Monday and kept Hamilton, but it seems the club decided Hamilton's just not quite ready yet.

Hamilton Likely To Start In Sharks' Opener

News: With Adam Burish (lower body) likely to be sidelined for the opener, according to Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area, the door has been opened for Freddie Hamilton to make his NHL debut.
Analysis: Freddie Hamilton will probably take Burish's place on the fourth line with Andrew Desjardins and James Sheppard. Don't be fooled by the fourth line label here, this line has less grind and more scoring potential than most fourth lines. The downside? There are already three solid scoring lines in San Jose. There may not be enough ice time for Hamilton to prove whether or not his talent could translate to fantasy relevance.

Hamilton One Of Three Rookies On Sharks' Roster

News: Freddie Hamilton, a long shot to make the Opening Night roster, was not among the final group of players cut from camp, meaning he'll start the season in San Jose.
Analysis: Freddie Hamilton is getting an opportunity, possibly due to the long-term absence of Raffi Torres (knee). He's an interesting prospect, but it's unclear whether he'll remain with the team once Torres and/or Adam Burish (lower body) are healthy. After collecting just 26 points in 76 AHL games last year, Hamilton doesn't seem to have very much upside, but he did twice score 35-plus goals in juniors.

Hamilton's Odds At Making Sharks Roster Get Better

News: Freddie Hamilton's shot at making the opening day roster for San Jose got a little better when the Sharks announced that winger Raffi Torres would miss a minimum of six weeks with a knee injury, according to a report at NHL.com.
Analysis: Freddie Hamilton has been tough and shown an offensive touch throughout camp, including scoring a powerplay goal in Friday's preseason win over Anaheim. Hamilton, if he makes the team, shouldn't be drafted, but may be worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues.
