Jackets' Jenner Scores In Third Straight

News: Boone Jenner scored the lone Columbus goal in Saturday's 3-1 Game 5 loss to Pittsburgh in the Metropolitan Division semifinals, marking the third consecutive game in which he's scored a goal.
Analysis: Boone Jenner has at least one point in each of the five games of the series and is establishing himself as one of the rising talents on a spunky Columbus squad. Expect him to be active in Monday's Game 6.

Jackets' Jenner Scores On The Power Play Wednesda

News: Boone Jenner scored a power-play goal in Wednesday's 4-3 OT win over the Penguins.
Analysis: The rookie clicked with Ryan Johansen late in the regular season, and the two youngsters have continued to produce in the playoffs, as Boone Jenner now has two goals and two assists through four games.

Jackets' Jenner Finishes Strong

News: Boone Jenner picked up a power play assist in Saturday's win over the Panthers.
Analysis: He's been seeing big minutes alongside Ryan Johansen to close out the regular season, and responded with six points (three goals and three assists) in his last five games. If you're looking for sleepers in your playoff pool and think the Blue Jackets might be poised for a run, Boone Jenner's your lad.

Jackets' Jenner Claims Two More Points

News: Boone Jenner supplied a goal and an assist in Friday's loss to the Lightning.
Analysis: Boone Jenner's power-play goal at the 13:46 mark of the second period briefly tied the game before the Bolts responded with two quick goals in the next five minutes. The loss does little to dampen the excellent production Jenner has provided of late. He's tallied three goals and two assists over his last four contests.

Blue Jackets' Jenner Tallies Two Points

News: Boone Jenner scored the game-winning power-play goal and added an assist against the Islanders on Sunday.
Analysis: The 20-year-old rookie got off to a good start, before cooling down and dealing with some injury issues. Still, he has 14 goals and 25 points in 68 games on the season.

Jenner Scores 10th Goal On Friday

News: Boone Jenner scored his 10th goal of the season during Friday's loss to the Sharks.
Analysis: The Blue Jackets had a tough time getting any sort of offense going in this one as the well-rested Sharks put the pressure on from the moment the puck dropped in the first period. His goal brought the Jackets to within one late in the third, but they were unable to complete the comeback. Boone Jenner now has five points (two goals, three assists) over his last five games.

Jackets' Jenner Has Two-Point Night

News: Boone Jenner picked up a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: That's three points in two games since the rookie started skating with Ryan Johansen and Nathan Horton, a line that could potentially be the top unit for the Blue Jackets going forward. Boone Jenner doesn't seem to be getting power play shifts yet with his more established linemates though, so temper your expectations.

Jenner Paces Jackets With Two Goals

News: Boone Jenner scored twice, including the game winner, in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Jets.
Analysis: He has three goals in his last two games, but just eight goals and 12 points in 35 games this season. His leadership is undeniable, but the jury is out on his overall offensive value to fantasy owners. Watch from afar.

Jenner Scores In Columbus Win

News: Boone Jenner snagged one of the Blue Jackets' three goals in Friday's shutout win over Carolina, giving him his first goal of the new calendar year.
Analysis: Boone Jenner remains a project at this point, albeit a talented one. The 16:14 he played on Friday nearly doubled the 8:11 he saw in the Jackets' previous game. He's not seeing top-six minutes but is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Jackets' Jenner Scores Tuesday

News: Boone Jenner saw almost 16 minutes of ice time Tuesday and scored a goal in a 5-3 loss to the Avalanche.
Analysis: That's a noticeable uptick in playing time for the rookie, who hadn't broken the 15 minute mark since late November. The extra shifts are a reward for his recent strong play, as Boone Jenner has two goals and four points in his last five games with a strong plus-5 rating. The Blue Jackets lines are due for a shakeup when Nathan Horton makes his debut for the club, and if Jenner finds himself skating on a regular basis with more talented linemates than the likes of Blake Comeau and Mark Letestu he could have some surprising fantasy value in the second half.

Jackets' Jenner Picks Up Assist Sunday

News: Boone Jenner picked up an assist in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins.
Analysis: He's quietly got three points in his last four games with a plus-4 rating, and while Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards has a history of forcing rookies to pay their dues before giving them premium line assignments Boone Jenner's feisty two-way game could make him an exception if he keeps producing. Until he starts getting more ice time though, just keep him on your radar.

Blue Jackets' Jenner Returns To Lineup Sunday

News: Boone Jenner (leg) will return to the Blue Jackets' lineup for Sunday's game against Ottawa, Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner is coming back a little earlier than originally expected, which is just fine for Columbus, as injuries have been taking their toll on the team. He'll take the left wing on a line centered by Brandon Dubinsky with Cam Atkinson skating on the right.

Jackets' Jenner Expected To Play Sunday

News: Boone Jenner (leg) is expected to return to action Sunday vs. the Senators, Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: The Blue Jackets weren't originally anticipating on having Boone Jenner back until next week, but after he's progressed nicely in practice the last few days, it looks like he'll be available for the club's second game of the weekend. Once he gets back into the swing of things, he could be a candidate for a top-six role with Marion Gaborik set to miss the next four-to-six months with a sprained knee.

Jackets' Jenner Close To Returning

News: Boone Jenner (leg) is targeting November 19 against the Oilers for his return to action, but hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Senators, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: The rookie has missed eight games so far with a leg injury. Boone Jenner likely won't have a big offensive impact on his return, but he'll give the Blue Jackets another feisty forechecker.

Jackets' Jenner Returns To Practice

News: Boone Jenner (leg) resumed practicing Monday, Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner had been skating with the team last week and could be cleared for a return to the lineup following a few practices. The rookie has missed six games since suffering the injury Oct. 25 against the Maple Leafs.

Blue Jackets' Jenner Skates Friday

News: Boone Jenner (leg) skated during Friday's practice.
Analysis: Boone Jenner has been skating regularly throughout the week, prompting coach Todd Richards to deem him "close" to returning to action. He's been sidelined since Oct. 25 with the injury.

Jackets' Jenner Skates Monday

News: Boone Jenner (leg) skated on his own Monday morning, Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: This is a step in the right direction, but coach Todd Richards said recently that Boone Jenner would likely be out of action "weeks, not days." He'll need to be medically cleared for contact before returning to practice.

Jackets' Jenner Not Likely To Return Soon

News: Blue Jackets' coach Todd Richards said that Boone Jenner (leg) would likely be out of action "weeks, not days," the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: The rookie was just starting to show flashes of what he can do before he got hurt, so this is a tough blow for Boone Jenner. In most leagues, you can safely cut him loose.

Jackets' Jenner Out For Weekend

News: Boone Jenner (leg) will not play this weekend, Rob Mixer of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner will miss both games of the Jackets' home-and-home series with the Penguins over the weekend, but could return for Tuesday's game against the Senators. The center has two goals in nine games so far this year.

Jackets' Jenner Doesn't Practice Monday

News: Boone Jenner (leg) didn't take part in Monday's practice, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: The Blue Jackets don't play again until Friday, but Boone Jenner's availability for the weekend is still in question.

Jackets' Jenner Sidelined With Leg Injury

News: Blue Jackets' coach Todd Richards suggested that the leg injury Boone Jenner suffered Friday could keep him out for more than one game, the Columbus Dispatch reports. "Boone is getting re-evaluated, but it might be an injury that keeps him out a little bit," Richards said. "Just one of those fluke things. He went down with a leg injury. He's going to miss some time."
Analysis: Michael Chaput was called up from AHL Springfield to provide the Jackets with extra forward depth, although Ryan Craig will get first crack at filling Boone Jenner's role.

Jackets' Jenner Out Sunday

News: Boone Jenner, who sustained a lower-body injury Friday against the Leafs, has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ducks, Dan Kamal of FOX Sports Ohio reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner's first pro season has been a rather unproductive one, as the 20-year-old has just two goals in nine games. Now with the injury concern to worry about, Jenner should remain largely off the fantasy radar for the time being.

Jackets' Jenner Scores First Two Of Career

News: Boone Jenner scored his first two NHL goals -- both on the power play -- in Thursday's loss to Montreal.
Analysis: Boone Jenner had gone without a point in his first four games as a Jacket, but he was very active in this one, taking six shots on goal (equal to his total from the first four games) while skating 20:14, by far a season high. If he keeps seeing this kind of ice time, the 20-year-old's fantasy value could rise fast.

Jackets' Jenner Without A Line In Practice

News: Boone Jenner skated as the 13th forward during Wednesday's practice, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: It's been a steep drop down the depth chart for Boone Jenner, who opened the season on the Blue Jackets' top line after an impressive preseason. Jackets coach Todd Richards isn't exactly a rookie-friendly coach (just ask Ryan Johansen), so it's entirely possible that Jenner could eventually be sent down to the AHL to get regular shifts.

Jackets' Jenner Bumped To Fourth Line Friday

News: Boone Jenner played just 10:27 in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Flames and was taken off the Marian Gaborik line early in the game.
Analysis: The rookie managed two shots and two hits in his limited ice time while Blake Comeau, his replacement on the Gaborik line, posted an ugly minus-3 rating on the night, so Boone Jenner could quickly return to a premium assignment. If he's not seeing consistent minutes on the top line though, Jenner's fantasy prospects are very dim.
