Jackets' Jenner: Five Goals In Last Six Games

News: Boone Jenner scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Penguins. He has six points, including five goals, in his last six games.
Analysis: The goal came on a penalty shot after he was hauled down by Simon Depres while on a break. He's busting it on every shift and has delivered 12 points in just 18 games. He's well on his way to a career best in points. Take advantage of his streak.

Goals In Four Straight For Jackets' Jenner

News: Boone Jenner found twine for the fourth consecutive game Tuesday, opening the scoring with a power-play goal in a 3-2 overtime win against the Flyers.
Analysis: Despite his recent success, the Jackets shifted Boone Jenner from center, where he'd spent the last six games, back to left wing on the top line with Ryan Johansen. The move may have been precipitated by his last matchup with the Flyers, when he lost all four of his faceoffs. Either way, the position bouncing is nice for his fantasy owners, who would surely love to see the 21-year-old gain eligibility at both center and wing -- especially if he keeps producing offensively.

Jackets' Jenner: Goal Streak Now At Three Games

News: Boone Jenner stretched his goal streak to three goals and three games with a goal in Saturday's win over the Lightning.
Analysis: Boone Jenner is a hard-working forward who plays hard and knows how to score. And while he's missed some time this season, he's a good roll right now. Stick him in.

Jackets' Jenner Nets Game Winner

News: Boone Jenner scored his second goal of the season, a game winner in the third period, in Monday's 2-1 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: Boone Jenner has cooled off since recording five points in his first six contests, with just two in his last seven. He put up 29 points (16 goals) in his rookie campaign, but the 21-year-old likely won't end up improving on that total by that much.

Jackets' Jenner Nets First Goal Of Season

News: Boone Jenner scored his first goal of the season on the power play Saturday night in a loss to the Flyers.
Analysis: He actually has six points in eight games this season and is also throwing a lot of hits. He has solid secondary fantasy value; deploy him accordingly.

Jackets' Jenner Produces Two Assists

News: Boone Jenner picked up two assists, went plus-1, grabbed two PIM and laid four hits in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Washington.
Analysis: Boone Jenner won just six out of 26 faceoffs, but fortunately, that doesn't count in most fantasy leagues. He's got two scoreless games and a pair of two-assist efforts in four games since returning from the hand injury that kept him out for the start of the season.

Blue Jackets' Jenner Records Two Assists In Loss

News: Boone Jenner bagged a pair of assists and had five shots on goal in Friday's overtime loss to the Hurricanes.
Analysis: It was only the second game of the year for Boone Jenner, who missed the start of the season with a broken hand. The 21-year-old center, who had 29 points (16 goals) in his 2013-14 rookie campaign, is off to a good start in 2014-15. Centering a line with Scott Hartnell and Cam Atkinson as his wingers, the youngster should improve on the numbers he put up last year as a rookie.

Jackets' Jenner Back At Practice

News: Boone Jenner (hand) was a full participant at Monday's practice, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: It looks like the Blue Jackets could get Boone Jenner back Tuesday against the Hurricanes, which would be great news for the depleted team. Jenner recorded 16 goals and 13 assists in 72 games last year in his first NHL season.

Blue Jackets' Jenner Expected To Play Next Week

News: Boone Jenner (hand) is expected to make his season debut next week, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner practiced Thursday for the third straight day, testing out his injury by handling pucks. The Blue Jackets are in desperate need of help up front with six forwards (including Jenner) sidelined, so they will welcome Jenner's return to the lineup when it comes. An exact date for Jenner's debut has not been determined, but Columbus plays Tuesday, Friday and Saturday next week.

Jackets' Jenner Skates

News: Boone Jenner (hand) practiced with the team Monday, Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner has been sidelined for the whole season so far with a broken hand, but it's a good sign that he returned to the ice Monday. The center had a great season in 2013-14 as a rookie, racking up 16 goals and 13 assists in 72 games.

Blue Jackets Place Jenner On Injured Reserve

News: Boone Jenner (Hand) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Shawn Mitchell of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner is expected to miss five weeks with the injury, and the placement on IR is no surprise. He tallied 16 goals and 29 points in his rookies season, and is in line to contribute as one of the top six forwards for Columbus when he returns.

Jackets' Jenner Out Five Weeks After Surgery

News: Boone Jenner had surgery on his broken hand Tuesday and is expected to miss approximately five weeks, the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner is coming off a successful rookie season in which he notched 16 goals and 29 points, setting him up to become a top-six forward with Columbus in 2014-15. In light of this news, the Blue Jackets' first two lines look highly unsettled, as Jenner's absence, Nathan Horton's back problems, and Ryan Johansen's contract dispute have created three vacancies. Jenner should be a valuable contributor when he returns to action, but he'll likely plummet down cheat sheets with the knowledge that he'll be out until November.

Jackets' Jenner Out With Broken Hand

News: Boone Jenner suffered a broken left hand during Sunday's practice after being struck by a puck, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: He'll undergo more tests before the Jackets have a clear idea regarding the timetable for his return, but initial reports suggest Boone Jenner could be out as long as two months. Combined with Ryan Johansen's contract dispute and Nathan Horton's lingering back issues, the club will begin the regular season missing an entire line's worth of top six forwards.

Jackets' Jenner Expected To Miss Monday's Game

News: Boone Jenner (undisclosed) was not present at the team's morning skate Monday, Rob Mixer of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: There's still no word on the nature of Boone Jenner's injury, but it's a little concerning that he won't be in the lineup Monday. Marko Dano is expected to replace Jenner in the lineup for now, but it would be wise to keep an eye on Jenner's status over the next couple days.

Blue Jackets' Jenner (Undisclosed) Back Monday

News: Boone Jenner (undisclosed) is expected to play in Monday's exhibition game against Nashville, Shawn Mitchell of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Although Boone Jenner's injury is undisclosed, the fact that he'll be able to suit up Monday is a sign that it's nothing serious and shouldn't affect his long-term status. The 21-year-old will likely be in full capacity for the opener against the Sabres on Oct. 9.

Jackets' Jenner Nursing A Slight Injury

News: Boone Jenner is expected to sit out Thursday's game against the Blues due to an undisclosed injury.
Analysis: On an encouraging note, Boone Jenner was able to get in a hard skate with the non-playing group Thursday, so a return to game action shouldn't be far off. Jenner last played for the Blue Jackets on Sunday, when he tallied a goal in the contest, which was also against the Blues.

Jackets' Jenner Leads Split Squad To Win Sunday

News: Boone Jenner scored a goal and an assist with a plus-2 rating as the Blue Jackets downed the Blues 4-3 in Sunday's exhibition.
Analysis: He also won four of six faceoffs, and looked more than capable of anchoring one of the Jackets' top lines. If Boone Jenner sticks at center this season, he could end up being the biggest winner of the club's current contract impasse with Ryan Johansen.

Jackets' Jenner Shifting To Center

News: With Ryan Johansen not in training camp due to a contract dispute, Boone Jenner will play center rather than left wing in the Blue Jackets' first exhibition game on Sunday, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Boone Jenner was an excellent faceoff man in the junior ranks, so Johansen's absence will be a golden chance for the sophomore to prove he shouldn't be playing on the wing.

Jackets' Jenner Scores In Third Straight

News: Boone Jenner scored the lone Columbus goal in Saturday's 3-1 Game 5 loss to Pittsburgh in the Metropolitan Division semifinals, marking the third consecutive game in which he's scored a goal.
Analysis: Boone Jenner has at least one point in each of the five games of the series and is establishing himself as one of the rising talents on a spunky Columbus squad. Expect him to be active in Monday's Game 6.

News: Boone Jenner picked up a power play assist in Saturday's win over the Panthers.
Analysis: He's been seeing big minutes alongside Ryan Johansen to close out the regular season, and responded with six points (three goals and three assists) in his last five games. Analysis: Boone Jenner's power-play goal at the 13:46 mark of the second period briefly tied the game before the Bolts responded with two quick goals in the next five minutes. The loss does little to dampen the excellent production Jenner has provided of late. He's tallied three goals and two assists over his last four contests.

Blue Jackets' Jenner Tallies Two Points

News: Boone Jenner scored the game-winning power-play goal and added an assist against the Islanders on Sunday.

Jenner Scores 10th Goal On Friday

News: Boone Jenner scored his 10th goal of the season during Friday's loss to the Sharks.
Analysis: The Blue Jackets had a tough time getting any sort of offense going in this one as the well-rested Sharks put the pressure on from the moment the puck dropped in the first period. His goal brought the Jackets to within one late in the third, but they were unable to complete the comeback. Boone Jenner now has five points (two goals, three assists) over his last five games.
