Analysis: Brandon Manning scored six goals and notched 15 assists to go along with 135 PIMs in the AHL last season. While those stats earned him a spot in the 2013 AHL All-Star Classic, it remains to be seen if he can perform consistently at the NHL level.

Flyers' Manning Picks Up First NHL Point

News: Brandon Manning collected his first NHL point Tuesday, assisting on Brayden Schenn's first-period goal in a 4-2 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Brandon Manning had previously played four games for Philadelphia without finding the score sheet. He's been more of a bruiser than a scorer this year, collecting just 21 points and 135 PIMs in 65 AHL games this year. He's also gone minus-28 for Adirondack, a concerning stat, though he's plus-1 in the NHL so far.
