Tampa Bay Reassign Namestnikov To AHL

News: The Lightning reassigned Vladislav Namestnikov to AHL Syracuse on Wednesday.
Analysis: Vladislav Namestnikov played well for the Lightning this season but with the return of Victor Hedman as well as other players, Namestnikov was sent back to AHL, partially because he did not have to clear waivers. In 23 games played with Tampa Bay this season, the 22-year-old center has three goals and four assists.

Bolts' Namestnikov: Targeted For Demotion?

News: Vladislav Namestnikov may find himself in the minors when teammate Victor Hedman returns from the IR.
Analysis: He's one of two players -- Cedric Paquette is the other -- who can be sent to the AHL without having to clear waivers. Vladislav Namestnikov seems like a lock to stay given his solid play, but the Bolts are loaded up front and they'd risk losing a player on waivers otherwise. Watch this carefully and don't pull the trigger on a drop too fast -- he'll be back quickly even if he gets demoted.

Bolts' Namestnikov A Healthy Scratch Saturday

News: Vladislav Namestnikov will be a healthy scratch Saturday against the Wild, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Vladislav Namestnikov's recent offensive slide (one point in seven games) will keep him out of the lineup for the first time in 22 games this season, on his 22nd birthday no less. While the young center looks like a keeper for the Bolts, he'll be prone to slumps like this every now and then. He's probably still a few years away from reaching his peak.

Bolts' Namestnikov Nabs Game-Winner Friday

News: Vladislav Namestnikov was credited with the game-winning power-play goal in Friday's victory over the Jets.
Analysis: The goal gave Vladislav Namestnikov his first point since Oct. 13, ending a five-game drought. While the 21-year-old's future remains bright, he's likely to notice multiple peaks and valleys with his scoring this season, much to the frustration of fantasy owners.

Bolts' Namestnikov Gets First Two NHL Points

News: Vladislav Namestnikov scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's 7-1 over the Canadiens.
Analysis: The points are the first of his NHL career. This kid has a bright NHL future with point-per-game upside in his prime. Right now, he's a decent match-ups option until he moves into a permanent top-six role.

Bolts Impressed By Namestnikov's Overall Game

News: Vladislav Namestnikov has had a strong preseason and was second in league scoring heading into Friday night with seven assists. But it's his overall approach and not just the scoring that has caught the eye of Tampa coaches. "Just watching him on the power play and battling for pucks in the corners, he's a different guy than he was last year," said assistant coach Steve Thomas. "Last year, he was getting knocked off the puck quite easily, and this year he's not."
Analysis: He had speed, smarts and skill right from draft day, but he needed to add muscle and perfect those skills. He's done that. It remains to be seen if there's a roster spot available for him, but we have no doubt he'll see NHL action this year at some point. "Vladdy has the hockey sense, he has the vision and he's got the hands, but this is a big man's league, and you need to be able to take the pounding," said head coach Jon Cooper. "And you can tell in his core and his legs how much stronger of a base he has, and it's really served him well." Keep him on your radar.

Bolts Send Namestnikov Back To AHL Syracuse

News: Vladislav Namestnikov was returned to AHL Syracuse on Wednesday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Vladislav Namestnikov was a healthy scratch Tuesday against the Blues after Tyler Johnson (foot) was cleared to play, and with Steven Stamkos (leg) set to return to action for the team's next game Thursday, ice time wasn't going to be available. Richard Panik was recalled from Syracuse in a subsequent move.

Bolts Recall Namestnikov

News: Vladislav Namestnikov was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Wednesday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: The Lightning likely haven't recalled the prized 21-year-old from Syracuse to serve as a healthy scratch, so if he remains with the team in advance of Thursday's game vs. the Predators, expect him to play. He could replace forward Tom Pyatt in a bottom-six role for the Bolts.

Bolts Send Namestnikov Back To Syracuse

News: Vladislav Namestnikov was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Sunday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Vladislav Namestnikov was just brought up to add some depth for the Lightning's final game before the Olympic break. He logged 11:55 in ice time Saturday with one hit and one takeaway while winning three of six face-offs. He'll head back to Syracuse to play regularly rather than receive the vacation may other NHL players are getting.

Bolts Recall Namestnikov

News: Vladislav Namestnikov was recalled from AHL Syracuse by the Lightning on Friday.
Analysis: Vladislav Namestnikov will be making his NHL debut if he takes the ice at all for the Lightning. The former first-round pick has 13 goals and 17 assists in 31 games with AHL Syracuse this season.

Bolts' Namestnikov Continues To Tear Up AHL

News: Namestikov, who missed five weeks of action while recovering from surgery to repair a broken hand, has picked up where he left off since returning, notching three goals and one assist in five games so far in 2014.
Analysis: He broke his hand blocking a shot back on Nov. 22 and underwent surgery to repair it. Vladislav Namestnikov now has 25 points, including 11 goals, in just 22 games this season. That pace would put him in the AHL's top five scorers if not for the time he's missed. His keeper value remains high, and the young Russian could certainly be wearing a Bolts uniform next season.

Bolts' Namestnikov: Third In AHL Scoring

News: Vladislav Namestnikov currently sits third in AHL scoring with 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in just 13 games. He tallied 21 in 44 games last season.
Analysis: It's a big leap for the talented playmaker, who is clearly enjoying his time playing with Nikita Kucherov, an AHL rookie who sits second in league scoring with 21 points in the same span. This is a dynamic duo that will rip up Tampa when they arrive in the NHL, so make sure you monitor their progress.

Bolts' Prospect Namestnikov Back In Action

News: Vladislav Namestnikov is slowly getting back up to speed after missing two months with a shoulder injury. He has three points, including two goals, in seven AHL games since his return.
Analysis: Vladislav Namestnikov is one of Tampa Bay's premier prospects, maybe even the top one. The shoulder injury set back his development a little, but we're confident he's going to rock the Syracuse house in short order. A ticket to the Bolts could come as early as next season. If not that, then the following for sure.
