Sens' Pageau Set To Play Sunday

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who received treatment on his knee Sunday morning, is good to go for the Sens' evening contest against Montreal, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who left Friday's Game 5 with what was called a lower-body injury, is thus slated to remain in the Sens' lineup for Sunday's Game 6. Through the first five games of the series, Pageau has yet to notch a point, but he had recorded 23 hits and 14 blocked shots in that span.

Sens' Pageau (Lower Body) Listed As Day-To-Day

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau is considered day-to-day after prematurely exiting Friday's Game 5 against the Canadiens with an apparent lower-body injury, Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau attempted to block a puck Friday but ultimately paid the price and is now in danger of missing Game 6. Until the Senators say otherwise, Pageau is in line to be a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's contest.

Sens' Pageau Gets Game-Winner Saturday

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau supplied the game-winning in Saturday's victory over the Flyers.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau finished the season with a goal in four hits in each of his last three games, with his timely contributions ultimately aiding the Senators to a playoff berth. His third-line role might prevent the goal streak from continuing in the postseason, however, especially with the league's best goalie in Carey Price manning the net for the Sens' first-round opponent, Montreal.

Sens' Pageau Stays Hot With Goal

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau recorded his seventh goal of the season in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau has been on fire lately as he's now tallied eight points in his last 11 games, including four goals in his last eight. The 22-year-old has 16 points on the year but appears to have hit his stride since a mid-February recall from AHL Birmingham.

Sens' Pageau Riding Three-Game Scoring Streak

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau recorded a goal on a career-best seven shot attempts Monday against the Sharks.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau put ample pressure on goaltender Antti Niemi throughout the game, but didn't find twine until finishing off a give-and-go exchange with teammate Erik Karlsson with less than seven minutes remaining in the third period. The addition of Pageau from AHL Binghamton in mid-February has given life to the Sens' third line, as he's recorded a point in three straight contests. On the season, Pageau has supplied six goals and eight assists over 40 games.

Sens' Pageau Scores In Win

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau potted his fourth goal of the season in Sunday's win over the Flyers.
Analysis: That's three points in four games for Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who has been playing well of late. Skating on the third line with Curtis Lazar, Pageau could be worth looking at in very deep leagues if he keeps up his strong play.

Senators' Pageau Registers Another Assist

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau collected an assist in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Ducks.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau has picked up a point in each of his last three games, but he remains a depth option whose playing time often depends on the health of more experienced skaters.

Sens Recall Pageau

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was recalled from AHL Binghamton on Tuesday, Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Analysis: The Senators were down a forward after Clarke MacArthur (upper body) left Monday's game with an injury, so Jean-Gabriel Pageau will step in to help the team fill out their ranks. Pageau figures to center the Sens' third or fourth line, a role that won't saturate him with much fantasy value.

Sens' Pageau Sent Down To AHL

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was reassigned to AHL Binghamton on Saturday, Brent Wallace of TSN.ca reports.
Analysis: With Clarke MacArthur (flu) out with an illness, Jean-Gabriel Pageau was a surprise entry into the lineup Saturday against the Oilers, failing to come away with a point in the 7-2 victory. MacArthur should be ready to go for the Sens' next game, allowing Pageau to head back to Binghamton for more regular ice time. The 22-year-old Pageau should still be on the short list of call-ups for the NHL squad when another injury inevitably arises.

Sens' Pageau Scores First Of Season

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his first goal of the season and added an assist Thursday in a win over Montreal.
Analysis: A sharp outing for the 22-year-old, who'd collected just a lonely assist over his first 12 games this year. But he was nearly a point-per-game man in the AHL last year, so the undersized center does possess some upside.

Sens' Pageau Recalled Sunday

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was recalled by the Senators on Sunday, Brent Wallace of TSN Ottawa reports.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was cut by the Senators during training camp and has been in AHL Binghamton up until this point. He made 28 appearances for Ottawa last season and will likely see limited time on the ice this season if he does in fact play.

Sens Cut Pageau

News: The Sens cut Jean-Gabriel Pageau (undisclosed) on Monday, Steve Lloyd of TSN reports.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was hampered by an undisclosed injury at the end of training camp, and it may have ended up costing him a roster spot. He'll return to AHL Binghamton to begin the season, but should get a shot at the NHL at some point.

Sens' Pageau Nursing Slight Injury

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau didn't practice Thursday due to a minor injury, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: Coach Paul MacLean described Jean-Gabriel Pageau's injury as being of the nagging variety, but not anything that would qualify as particularly worrisome. It shouldn't be long before he returns to full participation in practices.

Sens Reassign Pageau

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was reassigned to AHL Binghamton on Tuesday, TSN.ca reports.
Analysis: Ottawa's season came to an end over the weekend, so Jean-Gabriel Pageau will head to the minors to get some further action before 2013-14 comes to a close. He accumulated two points and 41 hits in 28 games with the parent club this season.

Pageau Recalled By Senators

News: The Senators have recalled Jean-Gabriel Pageau on an emergency basis from AHL Binghamton.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau gives the Sens some added forward depth, but he's only worth a look in deeper formats, given that he's been limited to two goals in 21 game for the big club to date.

Sens Reassign Pageau

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was reassigned to AHL Binghamton on Wednesday.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau had been a healthy scratch in two of the last three games, so the organization decided it would be best for him to benefit from regular ice time in the minors. He had only two points and 10 penalty minutes in 21 games with the Senators.

Sens' Pageau Scratched Wednesday

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was a healthy scratch for Wednesday's overtime loss to the Avalanche.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau hasn't been able to recapture his magic from last year's playoffs so far this season, and has been a healthy scratch a few times lately. With just two points in 20 games, he'll need to step up his production if he wants to avoid being sent back to AHL Binghamton.

Sens Recall Pageau

News: The Senators recalled Jean-Gabriel Pageau from AHL Binghamton on Thursday, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau began the season in the NHL, but was sent down to Binghamton after registering just one point in the first eight games. He's had a nice run since being demoted, though, with six goals and 10 assists in 15 games. He'll center the third line between Chris Neil and Colin Greening against the Sabres on Thursday.

Sens' Pageau Sent To AHL

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau was reassigned to AHL Binghamton on Thursday, Brent Wallace of TSN.ca reports.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau has struggled through injury and ineffectiveness with Ottawa this season, totaling just one goal and a minus-3 rating through eight games to this point. The 20-year-old will look to work things out at the AHL level in hopes of returning to the Sens at some point later this season.

Sens' Pageau Returns Sunday

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau (undisclosed) was on the ice for Sunday's loss to the Sharks.
Analysis: The speedy center has underwhelmed so far this season with just one goal through eight games, and that didn't change when he returned to the lineup Sunday. He logged one shot on goal and a minus-2 rating in 10:35 of ice time, and could find himself a healthy scratch soon if he doesn't start producing.

Sens' Pageau Scratched Wednesday

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau (undisclosed) will sit out Wednesday's game against the Red Wings.
Analysis: Instead, the newly-recalled Mika Zibanejad will sub into the lineup with Jean-Gabriel Pageau tending to an injury. The club is listing Pageau as day-to-day for now but an IR stint could be a possibility if he fails to make much progress in his recovery over the next few days.

Senators' Pageau Has Minor Injury

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau is dealing with a minor undisclosed injury, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: In response, the Senators opted to call up Mika Zibanejad as depth at forward. In seven games this season, Jean-Gabriel Pageau has one goal and two penalty minutes and is averaging 10:05 of ice time, so most fantasy teams won't miss him while he's out.

Senators' Pageau Tallies Hat Trick

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored three goals, including a power-play tally and a game-winning goal, in Game 3 against the Canadiens on Sunday. He also was a plus-2, had five shots on net, and picked up four penalty minutes.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau, a rookie, now has more career playoff goals than regular season goals. He's a young player with limited NHL experience, so while there is potential here, he's not likely to be ready to contribute offensively with regularity.

Pageau Grabs Game-Winner For Sens

News: Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his first career NHL goal Friday, grabbing the game-winner against New Jersey.
Analysis: Jean-Gabriel Pageau's goal was a backhanded deflection on a fluttering shot heading toward Martin Brodeur, but he'll take it. Pageau joins a long list of players that have beaten Martin Brodeur for their first goal, but don't expect too many from him in his tenure with Ottawa; Pageau had seven goals and 22 points in 69 contests with Binghamton (AHL) this season.

Sens Recall Pageau

News: The Senators recalled Jean-Gabriel Pageau from AHL Binghamton on Wednesday, Ian Mendes of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis: The struggling Sens have lost five straight games, so they're probably looking for a spark from the 20-year-old center. Jean-Gabriel Pageau has recorded seven goals and 22 assists in 69 games with Binghamton this season, and could make his NHL debut Thursday against the Flyers.
