Bolts' Palat Delivers Yet Again

News: Ondrej Palat registered an assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over Toronto.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat has 15 goals and 34 assists this season, complemented by a plus-28 rating, which currently ranks fourth-best in the entire NHL. At this rate, Palat has a good shot at reaching 60 points by the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

Bolts' Palat: Streak At Five Games, Seven Points

News: Ondrej Palat's goal Sunday against Colorado stretched his scoring streak to five games and seven points (four goals, three assists).
Analysis: He's on fire -- he has 11 points in his last 10 games. And he's solid in both zones, too (plus-27). He's exactly the kind of underrated fantasy play that will carry you to a title.

Bolts' Palat Nets Two Including Winner

News: Ondrej Palat scored twice, including the game winner, in Saturday's 4-2 win over Arizona. The points stretch his current streak to four games and six points, including three goals.
Analysis: He has 10 points in his last nine games and is a worthy activation in every format.

Couple Of Assists For Bolts' Palat

News: Ondrej Palat set up two goals in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Anaheim, giving him 44 points in 56 games this season.
Analysis: The sophomore has also compiled an elite plus-27 rating, which is extra-impressive considering many thought he wouldn't be able to come close to last year's plus-32 achievement. Together with Tyler Johnson (56 points) and Nikita Kucherov (51 points), Ondrej Palat has helped make the Lightning's second line one of the most formidable in hockey, rewarding owners who believed last year's 59-point rookie season was no aberration.

Bolts' Palat: First Goal In 12 Games

News: Ondrej Palat scored his first goal in 12 games in Sunday's win over the Sharks. The goal was the game winner.
Analysis: He still has five points in his last six games, but we'd love to see a few more goals. Still, he's on pace for a similar total as he was last season, so that's solid enough for us. Stick him into a depth spot and let him ride. He'll help your plus-minus, too (he's plus-25).

Bolts' Palat Snaps Six-Game Point Drought

News: Ondrej Palat snapped a six-game point drought with two assists in Thursday's win over the Stars.
Analysis: One of them came on an empty-netter, but they all count. He's a solid fantasy citizen in deeper formats, and on the fringes of relevance even in shallower leagues.

Bolts' Palat Scores Twice, Including Winner

News: Ondrej Palat scored twice, including the game winner, in Tampa Bay's 3-2 win over Edmonton. He has four points in his last two games.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat was back with Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov, and the trio was just as electric as it had been prior to Johnson's minor injury. His 13 points in his last eight games includes three goals. Plug him and play him hard -- he'll definitely reward you.

Bolts' Palat: 15 Points In Last 10 Games

News: Ondrej Palat picked up two assists in Tuesday's loss to the Bruins. He set up Steven Stamkos both times.
Analysis: The Bolts had to juggle lines with Tyler Johnson out of the lineup and they slotted Ondrej Palat alongside Stammer -- remember last year's chemistry between these two? Palat has been on fire of late anyway, but this move could help him maintain his current torrid pace (15 points, including 14 helpers, in his last 10 games). Take full advantage.

Bolts' Palat: Streak At Four Games, Nine Points

News: Ondrej Palat's assist Tuesday night stretched his current point streak to four games and nine points, including eight helpers.
Analysis: He actually has 13 points -- all but one of which is a helper -- in his last seven games. He's a great player, but he can't possibly sustain this effort. Check to see how much you'll get if you cash in your chips on him -- winning a league means leveraging every option available.

Bolts' Palat: Six Points In Last Two Games

News: Ondrej Palat picked up two assists Friday in a loss to the Penguins. He has six points, including five helpers, in his last two games.
Analysis: He's been ripping it up since the game before Christmas and has 10 points (one goal, nine assists) in five games. He might be in a breakout if he can maintain even a fraction of this effort. He's a mandatory roll right now.

Palat Leads Bolts With Four-Point Night

News: Ondrej Palat had a goal and three assists in Wednesday's 5-1 rout of Buffalo. He has eight points, including seven assists, in his last four games.
Analysis: He was also plus-4 on the night and his goal stood as the winner. His line (with Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov) were flat out dominant during the game -- they tallied 10 points total. Use him well.

Bolts' Palat Sets Up Three

News: Ondrej Palat snapped a three-game point drought with three assists in Tampa Bay's 4-3 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.
Analysis: He set up each of Tyler Johnson's three goals and the trio of Johnson, Ondrej Palat and Nikita Kucherov were on fire -- they combined for nine points on the evening. Palat has been delivering at a similar pace as 2014-15. Use him that way.

Bolts' Palat Says He'll Play Friday

News: Ondrej Palat (lower body) said he would play in Friday's game against the Devils after he was able to take part in team's gameday skate, NHL.com's Dan Rosen reports.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat has been on the ice without incident for the last two days, so it's probably safe to assume that he'll be good to go following a four-game absence. The probable re-installment of Palat in the lineup -- along with the questionable status of Tyler Johnson (illness) -- makes the Bolts' line arrangements a bit uncertain heading into Friday's game.

Bolts' Palat A Game-Time Decision Friday

News: Ondrej Palat (lower body) will be a game-time decision for Friday's tilt with the Devils, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat is generally expected to play after he turned in a full practice Thursday, but the Lightning will wait and see how he performs during morning skate and pregame warmups Friday before reaching a conclusion on his status for the game. Jonathan Drouin has been the greatest beneficiary of Palat's four-game absence, as he's been seeing more frequent time with Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan on the Bolts' top line.

Lightning's Palat Out Tuesday

News: Ondrej Palat will not play in Tuesday's game against the Flyers, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat will miss his fourth straight game Tuesday, but is reportedly hoping to return Friday or Saturday.

Bolts' Palat (Lower Body) Likely To Sit Saturday

News: Coach Jon Cooper suggested that Ondrej Palat (lower body) would miss Saturday's game against the Capitals, but has a good chance at playing in one or more of the remaining four games on the Bolts' road trip, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: It doesn't sound like Ondrej Palat has resumed practicing since he was a surprising scratch Thursday night, but the team doesn't seem to fear that a long-term absence is in store. The forward-rich Lightning should have more than enough depth to cover for Palat while he eyes a return to the lineup, possibly as soon as Monday in Pittsburgh.

Bolts' Palat Likely Out Thursday

News: Ondrej Palat wasn't on the ice for pregame warmups and will sit out Thursday's game against the Hurricanes with a lower-body injury, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: The Lightning are labeling the second forward as day-to-day. It's not apparent where or when the injury stems from, but it will force Ondrej Palat out of the lineup for the first time in 30 games this season. The winger has eight goals, 19 points and a plus-15 rating.

Bolts' Palat Gets Bolts' Only Goal

News: Ondrej Palat scored the Lightning's only goal in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Blue Jackets. He has three goals and one assist in his last four games.
Analysis: His plus-minus (plus-17) is top-five in the league. He's on pace to match his offensive output from last season (59 points), so that makes him a valuable fantasy asset in most formats.

Bolts' Palat Adds Two Points

News: Ondrej Palat picked up a pair of points, including a short-handed goal on an empty net, and finished with a plus-3 in Monday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat snapped a four game pointless streak and now sits at six goals and 11 assists. The 23-year-old has had a solid season and sports the fifth best plus-minus rating in the league at plus-14. He should approach his 59 point campaign from a year ago.

Bolts' Palat On Three-Game Streak

News: Ondrej Palat's point streak now stands at three games and four points (one goal, three assists) after he netted his fifth goal of the season in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Islanders.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat has been a quiet, yet consistent contributor on the fantasy scoreboard and he's also in the league's top-10 in plus-minus. His game is just about complete as it could get -- it's hard to believe he's just in his second year in the league. He's the kind of performer who can deliver terrific returns in head-to-head leagues.

Bolts' Palat Continues To Get Points The Hard Way

News: Ondrej Palat picked up two assists in Monday's win over the Rangers. It was his first multi-point game since Oct. 24.
Analysis: He has quietly put up 14 points and a plus-11 rating in just 19 games this season. Thirteen of those points have come the hard way -- at even strength. And that's impressive given his current 60-point pace.

Bolts' Palat Says He'll Play Saturday

News: Ondrej Palat (lower body) said after the Bolts' optional skate that he would play Saturday against the Islanders, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat was held out of Friday's practice after sustaining a lower-body injury in the third period of Thursday's loss to the Sharks. However, after participating without any restrictions in the morning skate, it looks like the Bolts will clear him to resume his usual duties in the team's top six.

Bolts' Palat A Game-Time Decision Saturday

News: Ondrej Palat suffered a lower-body injury late in Thursday's loss to the Sharks and will be a game-time decision Saturday versus the Islanders.
Analysis: The ailment was bothersome enough to keep Ondrej Palat out of Friday's practice, thus putting the forward on shaky ground to play Saturday. The Bolts figure to have a better idea regarding Palat's condition at morning skate. The 23-year-old ranks fifth on the team with 11 points and has suited up in each of the Bolts' previous 17 games this season.

Bolts' Palat Proving Rookie Season No Fluke

News: Ondrej Palat's assist in Sunday's game gives him 10 points in 15 games this season, including seven in his last nine.
Analysis: He's on a similar pace as last season, so it's clear he's no fluke. His two-way game continues to impress, too -- he's already sitting with a plus-7 rating.

Bolts' Palat Bags Two Points In WIn

News: Ondrej Palat scored his third goal of the season and added an assist in Friday's win over the Jets.
Analysis: Ondrej Palat now has five points in his last four games, to go with a plus-3 rating. With Jonathan Drouin on the first line and Ryan Callahan (lower body) out with injury, Palat has been playing on the second line with Tyler Johnson. Assuming Drouin sticks on the top line, Palat may lose out on being Stamkos' linemate. Don't worry, though, the 23-year-old has enough skill on his own to come close to duplicating the success of his 23-goal, 59-point season in 2013-14.
