Bruins' Warsofsky Reassigned To AHL

News: David Warsofsky was reassigned to AHL Providence on Saturday, the Bruins' official website reports.
Analysis: David Warsofsky picked up the first assist of his career Saturday, so he'll head to the AHL with a bit of momentum. Once the Olympic break concludes, he will likely rejoin the Bruins.

Bruins' Warsofsky Gathers First Career Assist

News: David Warsofsky picked up an assist - the first of his NHL career - in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Senators.
Analysis: For the second consecutive game, David Warsofsky saw heavy minutes (20:10 TOI) with Zdeno Chara over in Sochi for the flag-carrying ceremonies. Warsofsky carries much promise as an offensive defenseman, but the return of Chara after the break will likely result in him being sent to the minors.

Warsofsky Sees Time With Bruins

News: David Warsofsky took two shots and recorded a minus-2 rating in 17:58 worth of ice in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blues.
Analysis: Though it did not result in any points for David Warsofsky, the mobile blueliner saw a team-high 5:28 worth of power play time Thursday. With Zdeno Chara unavailable for the Bruins' game against the Senators on Saturday, Warsofsky makes for a sneaky play in the team's final contest before the Olympic break, thanks to his anticipated power play usage.

Opportunity Knocks For Bruins' Warsofsky

News: David Warsofsky should see an expanded role with Zdeno Chara unavailable for the Bruins' next two games in advance of the upcoming Olympic break, the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis: David Warsofsky, who has recorded a goal in four games with the big club to date, brings mobility and puck-moving upside to the table and it's plausible that he could see some power-play work over the B's next couple of games. To that end, he worked on the team's first power-play unit at practice Wednesday.

Bruins Recall Warsofsky

News: David Warsofsky has been recalled by the Bruins.
Analysis: Zdeno Chara will miss two games this week, as he will be carrying the flag for Slovakia during the Opening Ceremony at the upcoming Winter Olympics in Sochi. David Warsofsky has 26 points over 42 games with AHL Providence this season and might be an intriguing short-term add, given his prowess at the offensive end.

Bruins Recall Warsofsky

News: The Bruins have recalled David Warsofsky from AHL Providence on an emergency basis, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: David Warsofsky is on track to play Saturday against the Senators, with Dennis Seidenberg having been ruled out for the contest. While Warsofsky has not scored a point in three games with the big club to date, the undersized blueliner has not looked out of place at the NHL level, while displaying mobility and puck-moving upside in the process.

Bruins Send Warsofsky To AHL

News: The Bruins have assigned David Warsofsky to AHL Providence, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: David Warsofsky did not record a point in his three-game stint with the B's, but the 5-9 170-pounder held his own at the NHL level, while displaying promise as a mobile puck-moving blueliner in the mold of teammate Torey Krug.

Bruins' Warsofsky Holds His own In NHL Debut

News: David Warsofsky, who played 12:29 in his NHL debut on Thursday, drew a generally positive review from coach Claude Julien afterward, the Boston Herald reports. "I thought as the game went on he got more comfortable," Julien noted. "He did a good job. He skated the puck up the ice with confidence. I didn't mind his game at all. I thought for his first game he handled himself very well."
Analysis: The length of David Warsofsky's stay with the B's is probably tied to the availability of Adam McQuaid, who is in the game-to-game category at this stage. At 5-9, 170 pounds, Warsofsky relies on his mobility and puck-moving skills to make an impact and while his game hasn't evolved to the level of fellow smallish blueliner Torey Krug, the two are cut from the same cloth.

Warsofsky Fills In For Bruins

News: David Warsofsky is slated to make his NHL debut in Buffalo on Thursday, the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis: With Kevan Miller having been sent to AHL Providence in a procedural move and Adam McQuaid still sidelined, David Warsofsky figures to see action with the big club for the next few games. The 5-8, 170-pounder (who checks in with 16 points in 26 AHL games to date) is an undersized blueliner whose mobility and puck-moving ability are potentially fantasy-worthy assets, though it's unclear how heavily he will be utilized by the Bruins out of the gate.

Bruins Recall Warsofsky

News: The Bruins recalled David Warsofsky from AHL Providence on Wednesday.
Analysis: The blueliner has played well for Providence the last four years, and currently has two goals and 14 assists in 26 games this season. He'll likely get a shot to make his NHL debut Thursday night against the Sabres.

Bruins Send Warsofsky To AHL

News: The Bruins have assigned David Warsofsky to AHL Providence, the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis: David Warsofsky, who recorded 16 points in 58 games for Providence last season, is an undersized blueliner (5-foot-9, 172 pounds), but he's a good skater with some upside as a puck-mover. At this stage, though, there's probably only room for one such player on the Boston blue line, and that's Torey Krug.

Warsofsky Sent Down By Bruins

News: David Warsofsky has been assigned to AHL Providence, the Bruins' official site reports.
Analysis: David Warsofsky made the Bruins' NHL Opening Night roster, but was a healthy scratch for Saturday's game against the Rangers. He'll return to Providence, where he will log heavy minutes, while Aaron Johnson has been called up to serve as the team's spare defenseman.

Warsofsky Breaks Camp With Bruins

News: David Warsofsky has made the Bruins' initial roster to start the season, csnne.com reports.
Analysis: David Warsofsky and winger Lane MacDermid are expected to be healthy scratches out of the gate, but breaking camp with the big club is a nice bonus for Warsofsky, who recorded nine points in 30 games with AHL Providence prior to training camp.
