Arcobello's Huge Game Lifts Coyotes

News: Mark Arcobello scored his 15th goal of the year in overtime Tuesday to cap off a three-point outing -- two goals and an assist -- in a 5-4 win over Detroit.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello hasn't found the scoresheet often this season, which he's spent with three teams, but his stint with Arizona has featured his best work so far. Although he'd missed the scoresheet in four straight prior to Tuesday, Arcobello now owns a respectable 11 points in 19 games as a Coyote.

Coyotes' Arcobello Adds Assist In Loss

News: Mark Arcobello picked up an assist Thursday in a 2-1 loss to Chicago. He was plus-1 with three shots, three hits, and a block in the contest.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello has five goals and two assists with 32 shots and 14 hits in 13 games since joining the Coyotes. He is auditioning for next year in hopes of spending the season with one team and his extra efforts could be useful to fantasy owners down the stretch in deep leagues.

Coyotes' Arcobello Adds More Offense

News: Mark Arcobello picked up an assist on the Coyotes' lone goal Tuesday in a 4-1 loss to Anaheim. He took four shots and added a hit in the game.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello has points in five of his last seven games and with the Coyotes committed to rebuilding he has a chance to make a good impression on the team for next year. Since arriving in Arizona on February 11, Arcobello leads the team in goals (five) and points (six), while also being a strong possession player (53 percent CorsiFor) suggesting he is driving play for the team. After seeing time with four teams this year, he may have found a home.

Coyotes' Arcobello Keeps Up Scoring Prowess

News: Mark Arcobello scored his 13th goal of the season Thursday in a 4-3 loss to the Rangers. He took three shots and added a hit and two blocks in the contest.
Analysis: This was Mark Arcobello's fourth goal in his last five games and fifth since joining the Coyotes. He has seen more ice time since joining Arizona than he was in previous stops and is taking advantage. If the Coyotes hang onto the 26-year-old winger through the trading deadline he could see even more chances. Long term, however, he is not an elite guy, but he can help in deep leagues.

Coyotes' Arcobello Nets Another Goal

News: Mark Arcobello scored the lone goal for the Coyotes in Tuesday's loss to the Islanders. He was plus-1 and took seven shots in the contest.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello has scored goals in four of his past six games, which makes him the hottest Coyotes player going. He's also established a new career high with 12 goals on the campaign. Expect the goal totals to eventually dry up, as he's found net on 27 percent of his shots since arriving in Arizona, a rate that can't be sustained.

Coyotes' Arcobello Scores Third Goal In Four Games

News: Mark Arcobello scored his third goal in four games in Saturday's loss to the Lightning.
Analysis: Centring the second line, Mark Arcobello has looked good since arriving in Arizona, recording three goals in four games. He's got 36 points in 96 NHL career games and has underrated offensive talent, so the top-six forward could be worth looking at in deeper leagues.

Coyotes' Arcobello Scores In Loss

News: Mark Arcobello scored his 10th goal Monday in a 5-2 loss to Colorado. He took two shots and added three hits in the contest.
Analysis: This was Mark Arcobello's second goal in three games for the Coyotes as he tried to make a good impression on his fourth team this season. While he's seeing a good amount of ice time in Arizona, he's useful only in deep fantasy leagues.

Coyotes' Arcobello Makes History In Loss

News: Mark Arcobello tallied his ninth goal of the season and recorded two PIM in his Coyotes debut Friday against the Sharks.
Analysis: It didn't take long for Mark Arcobello, who was claimed off waivers earlier in the week, to make a mark with his new squad. He found the back of the net less than two minutes into the contest, becoming the second player in NHL history to record a point with four different teams in one season. The well-traveled Arcobello probably shouldn't establish a permanent residence in the desert just yet, but with Martin Hanzal (back) ruled out for the season, there's a good chance he'll be able to stick around a little longer with his newest squad.

Arcobello Claimed Off Waivers By Coyotes

News: Mark Arcobello was claimed off waivers by the Coyotes on Wednesday, ESPN's Pierre LeBrun reports.
Analysis: It's been quite the odyssey this season for Mark Arcobello, who will join his fourth team in five months after stops in Edmonton, Nashville, and Pittsburgh. Altogether, Arcobello has tallied eight goals and seven assists over 50 games this season, a level of production that may limit him to a third-line role with his new club.

Pens' Arcobello Placed On Waivers Tuesday

News: Mark Arcobello was placed on waivers Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Analysis: Pittsburgh claimed Mark Arcobello from Nashville less than a month ago, and it now seems that the 26-year-old center could again move on to a new team. He won't necessarily be claimed, in which case he'd likely be sent to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Arcobello Assists In Pens' Win On Wednesday

News: Mark Arcobello tallied an assist on four shots in Wednesday's 2-0 win over Edmonton.
Analysis: He also finished with a whopping three turnovers, so it will be interesting to see if the Pens keep him on Evgeni Malkin's line for Friday's tilt in Calgary. Mark Arcobello's point was his second in eight games with Pittsburgh.

Arcobello To Skate With Big Boys Wednesday

News: Mark Arcobello will skate with Evgeni Malkin and Patric Hornqvist on Wednesday in Edmonton.
Analysis: Although Mark Arcobello has only one point in seven games with Pittsburgh, coach Mike Johnston believes he can play with the big boys. "What he does for us, he provides some skill, he's quick, he's good on loose pucks, he can make plays," Johnston said. "Right now we're still getting to know him as a player." The first-year coach has made some curious lineup decisions, leaving himself open to second guessing. Arcobello played for the Oilers, so perhaps Johnston is hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.

Arcobello Goes From Waivers To Pens' Top Line

News: Mark Arcobello skated as the Pens' No. 1 center Monday in practice.
Analysis: With Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby both sidelined, the recently acquired waiver-wire pickup will play alongside Chris Kunitz and Patric Hornqvist (provided he comes off IR). If fantasy owners ever thought about deploying Mark Arcobello, Tuesday at home against the Jets would be the night to do so.

Penguins Claim Arcobello Off Waivers

News: Mark Arcobello was claimed off waivers by the Penguins on Wednesday, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello spent just four games with the Predators before he was let go Tuesday to clear room for James Neal's return from IR. At just 5-foot-9, Arcobello lacks ideal size, but the Penguins saw enough scoring potential in him to warrant a look. He'll likely be given a shot to usurp Bryan Rust as the left wing on the Pens' third line.

Predators Place Arcobello On Waivers

News: Nashville placed Mark Arcobello on waivers Tuesday, Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: It sounds like James Neal (lower body) will be activated from IR and replace Mark Arcobello on Nashville's roster, but that should become clear soon. Arcobello scored one goal during his brief four-game stint with the Predators, and will head to AHL Milwaukee if he's not claimed by another team.

Preds' Arcobello Gets Goal In Team Debut

News: Mark Arcobello made the most of his debut with the Predators on Saturday, tallying a goal on his lone shot attempt in the 7-6 win.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello's second-period tally gave the Predators a four-goal advantage, but that wouldn't be nearly enough in this back-and-forth affair. Even so, it amounted to a respectable debut for the 26-year-old, who skated primarily on the Preds' third line next to Eric Nystrom and Calle Jarnkrok.

Oilers Trade Arcobello To Predators

News: Mark Arcobello was traded to the Predators on Monday in exchange for Derek Roy.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello tallied 12 points in 36 games with the Oilers this season. He played regularly for Edmonton, but it remains to be seen what his role will be as part of a deeper Nashville squad.

Oilers' Arcobello Pots Two

News: Mark Arcobello notched a pair of goals in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Stars.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello snapped a streak of nine straight games without a point with his second multi-point game of the season. He's got seven goals and 11 points, and while the 26-year-old will likely surpass his career-high of 18 points, he doesn't have much value for fantasy purposes.

Oilers' Arcobello To Center Top Line Tuesday

News: Mark Arcobello will center the Oilers' top line Tuesday against the Kings, Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports.
Analysis: With Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (undisclosed) unavailable Tuesday, the Oilers will have Mark Arcobello join Taylor Hall on the top line, and perhaps the team's top power-play unit as well. While the appointment should theoretically result in a short-term value bump for Arcobello, it's hard to imagine the 5-foot-10, 185-pound pivot doing much to slow Los Angeles' top center, Anze Kopitar (6-foot-3, 224 pounds), in Tuesday's showdown. He could be in store for a big hit to his plus/minus rating.

Oilers' Arcobello Notches Two Points Saturday

News: Mark Arcobello bagged a goal and assist in Saturday's loss to the Canucks.
Analysis: Mark Arcobello finished off a Teddy Purcell feed on a three-on-two break to beat goalie Ryan Miller for his first goal of the season. Though Arcobello is centering the third line, the Oilers' version possesses more talent than most teams, with mates Purcell and David Perron both listing 50-point seasons on their resume. Arcobello showed some scoring aptitude of his own during his 41-stint with Edmonton last season, and could make for ideal roster fodder in deeper leagues.
