Hawks Reassign Danault

News: The Blackhawks reassigned Phillip Danault to AHL Rockford on Monday, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis: Phillip Danault appeared in two games with the Hawks, but failed to crack the score sheet. His departure likely means Andrew Shaw (upper body) is ready to return to the lineup, and even though it may not be this year, it's highly unlikely that we've seen the last of Danault at the NHL level.

Hawks' Danault Gets Good Reviews In Debut

News: Phillip Danault saw a little more than 11 minutes of ice time on Saturday in his NHL debut including time on the power play, CSN Chicago reports.
Analysis: Blackhawks' coach Joel Quenneville was impressed with Phillip Danault's play, but will need to improve on his face-off percentage which was only 44 percent against the Oilers. "He had the puck a lot," said Quenneville. "He was around it and he was tenacious. He did a real good job." Danault will probably be up with the Hawks until Andrew Shaw returns from his upper-body injury.

Hawks' Danault Will Play Saturday

News: Phillip Danault will make his NHL debut Saturday night against the Oilers.
Analysis: The 21-year-old was the Blackhawks' first-round pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and has been on the team's radar ever since. Phillip Danault racked up three goals and seven assists through 14 games with AHL Rockford and should slot in on the third or fourth line with Andrew Shaw (upper body) sidelined once again.

Blackhawks Recall Danault

News: Phillip Danault was recalled from AHL Rockford on Friday.
Analysis: The Blackhawks cleared up an opening for Phillip Danault by placing Patrick Sharp (knee) on long-term injured reserve. Danault, who had 10 points in 14 games for Rockford, will give the Blackhawks some additional depth at center while Andrew Shaw (upper body) remains day-to-day.

Hawks' Danault Sent To Rockford Saturday

News: Phillip Danault, who was Chicago's first round pick back in 2011, was sent down to Rockford of the AHL on Saturday, NBC Chicago reports.
Analysis: The Blackhawks are looking for him to develop more offense in his second season at Rockford. Last season, the 21-year-old center registered six goals and 20 helpers in 72 games.

Hawks See Prospect Danault As Third-Liner

News: Phillip Danault is projected to be a third-liner in the NHL, with potential to rise to the second line, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis: Phillip Danault was Chicago's first-round pick back in 2011, and has spent the last two seasons at AHL Rockford. Last season he played in 72 games -- the most of his amateur career -- and collected six goals and 20 helpers. The 21-year-old center has shown impressive scoring capability in the QMJHL, and could eventually be a mainstay in the Hawks' offensive attack.

Blackhawks Send Danault To Rockford

News: Phillip Danault was assigned to AHL Rockford on Tuesday, ESPN Chicago reports.
Analysis: Phillip Danault joins Mark McNeill, the Blackhawks' other first-round pick from 2011, down in Rockford. This will be the first full season in the pros for Danault, and he is expected to be with Rockford for the majority of the year. Danault skated 12 games for Rockford over the last two seasons, registering a pair of assists. He spent most of his time in 2011-12 and 2012-13 in the QMJHL, where he was a prolific scorer -- especially last season, as he ripped off 85 points in just 56 games.
