Panthers' Hayes Has Multi-Point Night

News: Jimmy Hayes supplied a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 win over Detroit.
Analysis: This was Jimmy Hayes' third multi-point night this season, and he went plus-2 in only 14:35 minutes of ice time. Hayes continues to be one of Florida's top point producers and now has 12 points (6G, 6A) in 16 games. He has been a very effective player this season, playing just over 13 minutes a game he is tied for second on the team in points and leads the team in shooting percentage with a 14.6%.

Hayes Scores Game-Winner In Florida's Win

News: Jimmy Hayes returned to the lineup for Friday's game against the Senators and made an immediate impact by scoring the game-winning goal.
Analysis: After being a healthy scratch from Wednesday's game, Jimmy Hayes was inserted back into the lineup and he proved why he should remain there. Hayes also provided two PIM, two hits, and three shots on goal. Expect him to stay in the lineup.

Panthers To Drop Hayes From Lineup

News: Jimmy Hayes will be a healthy scratch Wednesday versus the Hurricanes, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes has made it difficult to justify his removal from the lineup by producing four goals and five assists over 11 games, but it appears coach Gerard Gallant wants to get Tomas Fleischmann some work after he was scratched Monday. Don't expect the scoring-starved Panthers to keep Hayes in the press box for too long while he remains hot.

Panthers' Hayes Scores Two Points In Loss

News: Jimmy Hayes scored a power play goal and added an assist in a 5-2 loss to the Kings on Tuesday.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes now has eight points in 10 games this season while supporting a plus-5 rating. Hayes has been outstanding this season for the Panthers and is well on his way to a new career high in points, passing his old total of 18 in 2013-2014. Hayes has also found himself playing on the second power play unit and played 3:20 of power play time during Tuesday's contest which was his season high. The 24-year-old was a second round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft so there should be no surprise he has top end talent, it has just taken him some time to arrive to the show. He is still available on the waiver wire, so grab him while you can.

Panthers' Hayes Delivers Two Points In 4-3 Loss

News: Jimmy Hayes scored a goal and added an assist with five shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders Friday.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes has had an amazing month of November so far, scoring six points (3G,3A) in six games. He has also supported a plus-5 rating while only playing around 13 minutes a night throughout that span. Chances are he is available in all league formats, so pick him up if you are looking to replace an injured forward and let the hot streak ride itself out.

Florida's Hayes Collects Assist In Loss

News: Jimmy Hayes collected an assist on the power play against the Flyers on Thursday.
Analysis: The former second-round pick from 2008 has had a difficult time being a NHL regular during his career. Following a trade from Chicago last season, Jimmy Hayes played 53 games with Florida, totaling 18 points. Thursday was Hayes' fifth game of the season, and he started the night on the second line with Nick Bjugstad and Scottie Upshall. He has seen an increase in playing time and opportunity thanks to how many regulars have been out of the Panthers lineup due to injuries. Hayes should be considered a short-term play while Florida continues to get some healthy players back.

Panthers' Hayes Assists In Return To Lineup

News: Jimmy Hayes gathered an assist in Saturday's win over the Flyers.
Analysis: Saturday's game marked Jimmy Hayes' third appearance of the season, as he's typically been a healthy scratch for the Panthers. He was able to work his way back into the lineup against the Flyers after an assortment of injuries compromised the team's depth. While Hayes could maintain a regular role in the short-term while the Panthers wait for some healthy players to return, he only saw bottom-six minutes in Saturday's victory, making it unlikely that he provides points with much frequency.

Panthers' Hayes Promoted To The Top Line

News: Jimmy Hayes was moved to the top line in practice on Wednesday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: After sitting out the first two games of the season as a healthy scratch, Jimmy Hayes got in the lineup against Ottawa on Monday. He put four shots on goal in only 8:33 minutes of ice time. He will have a great opportunity to put up some points if he sticks with the first line for their upcoming tilt with the Sabres on Friday.

Panthers Retain Hayes On One-Year Deal

News: Jimmy Hayes has agreed to a one-year contract with the Panthers.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes joined the Panthers after being dealt by the Blackhawks on Nov. 14 of last year. He played 53 games in a Florida jersey, during which he totaled 11 goals and seven assists.

Panthers' Hayes Nets Two Goals

News: Jimmy Hayes scored two power-play goals Sunday against the Canucks.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes is having the best stretch of his career. He's notched six of his 13 points in his last five games. However, if he's getting power-play time, there may actually be a smidge of fantasy value here.

Panthers' Hayes Scores Twice

News: Jimmy Hayes lit the lamp twice Sunday against the Bruins.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes has set a career high in goals, and tied his career high in points. However, all that took was seven goals and nine points, so he's not likely to contribute to any fantasy team.

Points Becoming Elusive For Panthers' Hayes

News: Jimmy Hayes hasn't provided a point over his last 13 games for the Panthers.
Analysis: The Blackhawks' crowded forward ranks made it difficult for Jimmy Hayes to find ice time in Chicago, but the move to South Florida hasn't quite resulted in the boost in production the team might have expected from the 24-year-old. He has just five points in 29 games with his new organization and has been a healthy scratch for the last three games, due in large part to the scoring drought.

Panthers' Hayes Scores Goal In Loss

News: Jimmy Hayes scored his first goal of the season and as a member of the Florida Panthers during Friday's 4-3 loss to the Flames.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes was acquired from the Blackhawks last week but hadn't registered a point in his first three games with his new team. The 24-year-old right wing has some nice upside and he should find himself a nice home in the Panthers organization.

Panthers' Hayes Active Saturday

News: Jimmy Hayes is active for Saturday's game against the Avalanche, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes was acquired in a trade with the Blackhawks on Friday, and he'll make his Panthers debut Saturday. He didn't end up playing Friday, after being listed as a game-time decision.

Panthers' Hayes Now A Game-Time Decision Friday

News: Jimmy Hayes is now being listed as a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Wild, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes was acquired by the Panthers in a trade with the Blackhawks late Thursday night and it appears interim coach Peter Horachek isn't certain yet whether or not he wants to throw him into the fire without practicing with the team. In any case, Hayes isn't likely to log heavy minutes with the Panthers, though his path to playing time is certainly clearer than it was in the Blackhawks organization.

Panthers' Hayes To Play Friday

News: Jimmy Hayes, who was acquired in a trade with the Blackhawks on Thursday, is expected to play for the Panthers in Friday's game against Minnesota, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes was previously playing with AHL Rockford, and will get a crack at the NHL with his new organization. He has just 13 points in 43 career NHL games, with middling results at the AHL level. For the time being, Hayes can be ignored in the majority of leagues. He has a lot to prove and could be sent back down to the AHL if he struggles initially.

Hayes Traded From Chicago To Florida

News: Jimmy Hayes and Dylan Olsen were traded from the Blackhawks to the Panthers on Thursday in exchange for Kris Versteeg, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis: Versteeg is the centerpiece of the deal, with the Panthers receiving a pair of prospects in return. Jimmy Hayes has 13 points to his name in 43 career games, and he should have a chance to crack the NHL roster now that he's with a weaker organization. At 23 years old, the 2008 second-round pick doesn't have a ton of upside.

Blackhawks Send Hayes Down To Rockford

News: The Blackhawks sent Jimmy Hayes to Rockford of the AHL on Friday, reports Brian Hedger of NHL.com.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes was sent down to make room for Brandon Pirri who was brought up earlier in the day. Hayes enjoyed a decent camp but still remains on the roster bubble. He'll likely be back and forth between Chicago and Rockford throughout the season.

Blackhawks Recall Hayes

News: Jimmy Hayes has been recalled by the Blackhawks.
Analysis: This is not the first time Jimmy Hayes has been called up by the Blackhawks, as he has recorded three points in nine games this season. Hayes has had a career year with AHL Rockford, recording 25 goals in 67 games, but this seems to be nothing more than a typical end of year call up.

Blackhawks' Hayes Pots First Goal Of 2013

News: Jimmy Hayes scored the Blackhawks' first goal of the night and his first of the 2013 NHL season Monday in a victory over the Avalanche.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes was called up recently from Rockford of the AHL, and the Blackhawks are giving him an opportunity to stick by placing him on the second line. The 23-year-old showed some promise last season, notching five goals and four assists in 31 games skated.

Hawks' Hayes Logs Almost 16 Minutes In Season Debut

News: Jimmy Hayes skated for almost 16 minutes on Thursday against the Blue Jackets as he was placed on the second line.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes had been called-up earlier this season, but did not see the ice. Hayes was placed on the second line along with Patrick Kane and Dave Bolland, although both of those skaters saw at least a few more minutes of ice time. Hayes might be outplaying his time with Rockford of the AHL where he was tied with Jeremy Morin for the team lead in goals with 22 this season in 58 games.

Blackhawks' Hayes Recalled From AHL

News: Jimmy Hayes was recalled from AHL Rockford on Tuesday, CSN Chicago reports.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes has practiced with the Blackhawks, but hasn't seen any time on the ice this season at the NHL level. He recorded nine points (five goals, four assists) in 31 games last season while averaging just over 10 minutes on the ice, and will likely serve in a depth-line role for the 'Hawks.

Hawks's Hayes Sent Back To Rockford

News: Jimmy Hayes was returned to Rockford of the AHL on Thursday, the Daily Herald reports.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes is sure to back with the Blackhawks this season especially with the compressed 2013 NHL season that will no doubt be tough on players staying healthy. Hayes split time between the NHL and the AHL last season, finishing with nine points (five goals, four assists) and 16 penalty minutes in 31 games for the Blackhawks.

Blackhawks' Hayes Recalled From AHL

News: Jimmy Hayes was recalled from AHL Rockford on Monday, Tracey Myers of CSNChicago.com reports.
Analysis: Jimmy Hayes split time between the NHL and the AHL last season, finishing with nine points (5G, 4A) and 16 penalty minutes in 31 games for the Blackhawks. The 23-year-old winger has played in 37 AHL games already this season, and it seems the team decided Hayes deserves to be with the NHL club, at least for the time being. He averaged a little over 10 minutes of ice time last year, so unless Hayes is sent back down or is a healthy scratch, it's likely he'll approach that number in Saturday's season-opener against the Kings.

Hawks' Hayes Makes Playoff Debut

News: Jimmy Hayes is in the lineup for the Blackhawks for Game 5 on Saturday night, WGN-AM Radio in Chicago reports.
Analysis: The Blackhawks are looking for some more muscle with the 6-foot-6-inch, 221-pound right winger. Jimmy Hayes is in the lineup over Brandon Bollig. Hayes had five goals and four assists in 31 games during regular season.
