Hawks' Saad Notches Two Points

News: Brandon Saad snapped a three-game scoreless slump Thursday with a goal and an empty-net assist in a win over Florida.
Analysis: Brandon Saad continues to post solid numbers, as he's matched last year's 19 goals and is now just five shy of last year's 47 points. But the big breakout fantasy owners may have been banking on simply hasn't arrived this year.

Hawks' Saad Scores In Loss

News: Brandon Saad potted his 18th goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Red Wings.
Analysis: The winger has five points on his current four game point streak, and he now has 40 through 58 games on the season. He's on pace to easily eclipse his career high of 47 points set last season, and has the potential to emerge as an elite fantasy winger over the next couple years.

Hawks' Saad Compiles Two Power-Play Points In Loss

News: Brandon Saad notched a goal and assist -- with both coming on the power play -- in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Canucks.
Analysis: With roughly two months to play, Brandon Saad is quickly encroaching on last season's total of 47 points. With two goals and three assists over his last four games, Saad has been able to accelerate his scoring pace and atone for a rather slow start to the season. As a result of Saad's uptick in production, coach Joel Quenneville has bestowed the winger with more ice time. He's exceeded his season average TOI in four of the last five contests.

Hawks' Saad Dishes Out Two Helpers In Win

News: Brandon Saad dished out a pair of assists in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
Analysis: Brandon Saad broke out of a personal slump on Friday with his first goal in six games, and kept his play up with a multi-point effort to follow it up. The 22-year-old has slowed his pace a little bit, but with 35 points through 53 contests, he should be able to top his high-water mark of 47 from last season.

Hawks' Saad Buries OT Winner Friday

News: Brandon Saad buried the overtime winner Friday, notching his 16th of the year as the Blackhawks downed the Jets 2-1.
Analysis: The snipe snaps a six-game goalless drought for Brandon Saad, who picked up just a measly single assist during that span. He's set to surpass his career-best goal total of 19 set last year, and if he can record 15 more points in the season's final 30 games, he'll outdo his personal best of 47 from last year in that department, as well.

Hawks' Saad Pots Two In Loss

News: Brandon Saad netted a pair of goals in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Stars.
Analysis: Brandon Saad is on a four game point streak now, having potted five goals and adding an assist in that span. The 22-year-old is on pace to top the 50-point barrier for the first time of his career, and could be worthy of fantasy consideration if available.

Hawks' Saad Snipes Pair Of Goals

News: Brandon Saad put home the only goals of the night for the Blackhawks in a 5-2 loss to the Oilers on Friday.
Analysis: Both tallies were set up at even strength by linemates Marian Hossa and Jonathan Toews, who helped Brandon Saad to his 11th and 12th goals of the season. The Pittsburgh native is up to 27 points in 42 games this season, putting him on pace to slightly best his career mark of 19 goals and 47 points set last year.

Goals Trickling In For Hawks' Saad

News: Brandon Saad potted one of five Chicago goals in a narrow win over the Stars on Sunday.
Analysis: Brandon Saad hasn't quite submitted the star-making season some might have had him pegged for after a 47-point showing as a 21-year-old, but he certainly hasn't qualified as a disappointment. With a goal in three of his last four games, Saad is on track to surpass the 50-point mark for the season while he sits on a plus-7 rating. There's value to be had in that outside of shallow formats.

Blackhawks' Saad Ends Pointless Skid

News: Brandon Saad picked up an assist in Tuesday's loss to the Jets.
Analysis: The assist marked Brandon Saad's first point in three games and just his third over the last eight contests. Thanks to a strong November, Saad is still on pace to surpass last season's total of 47 points, but his lack of offense of late certainly isn't an encouraging development.

Hawks' Saad Remains Hot Saturday

News: Brandon Saad remained hot Saturday, extending his point streak to four games with a goal and an assist in a win over the Predators.
Analysis: Brandon Saad continues to thrive on the top line with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa, recording three goals, five points, and a plus-4 rating in his last four games. After a somewhat inconsistent start, Saad has found his groove, recording at least one point in all but six of his last 17 games. The 20-year-old is on track for a 20-goal, 60-point season and is worth a look right now, especially considering the red-hot Hawks have won six straight games.

'Hawks Saad Nets Game-Winner In Clutch Fashion

News: Brandon Saad scored the game-winning goal with 27 seconds left in regulation Friday against Montreal.
Analysis: Brandon Saad is now riding a three-game point streak, compiling a goal, two assists, and a plus-2 rating in that span. Although he has been inconsistent at times, Saad has still delivered five goals and 17 points in 26 games on the season. With the Blackhawks having won eight of their last nine contests, picking up a top-six forward like Saad might not be a bad idea.

Hawks' Saad Meshes With Toews In Win

News: Brandon Saad picked up two assists and was a plus-3 in Saturday's win over the Oilers.
Analysis: The top line of Brandon Saad, Jonathan Toews, and Marian Hossa was electric Saturday, combining for eight points in the win. After going through a brief rough patch, Saad has been consistently producing of late, recording two goals and eight points in his last 10 games. While his three goals on the season are somewhat disappointing, Saad is still on pace for almost 60 points and will start scoring more if he continues playing with Toews. A career year is in store for the rising 22-year-old.

Hawks' Saad Breaks Scoring Drought Friday

News: Brandon Saad scored in the first period of Friday's 3-2 loss to the Caps, his first goal in nine games.
Analysis: This is a big chance for Brandon Saad as he is being targeted by the Hawks to pick up some of the scoring slack with Patrick Sharp out of the lineup with a knee injury for the next few weeks. If he plays like he did Friday night for the rest of the season, he should easily top last season's 19 goals and 28 assists in 78 games. He has two goals and seven assists in the first 13 games so far in the 2014-15 season. Against Sunday night's opponent, San Jose, he has some success, with three goals and two assists in six games.

Saad Scores First For 'Hawks

News: Brandon Saad opened the scoring Tuesday against the Flyers with his first goal of the year, then added an assist on Chicago's third goal in a 2:06 span.
Analysis: While Brandon Saad is off to a point-per-game start this year with five in five, all of his points have come in two games while he's gone scoreless in the other three. He's highly talented, but he'll need to show more consistency to maintain anything resembling this scoring rate.

Hawks' Saad Dishes Out Three Assists In Win

News: Brandon Saad dished out three assists in Saturday's win over Buffalo.
Analysis: Brandon Saad also finished the night with four shots on goal and a plus-2 rating. With the way he has shown chemistry alongside Patrick Kane and Andrew Shaw on the second line, Saad could easily surpass the career-high 19 goals and 47 points he recorded in 2013-14. At only 21 years of age, the best is yet to come for this rising stud.

Hawks' Saad Looking To Improve In 2014-15

News: Brandon Saad finished the preseason with no goals and two assists in four games played.
Analysis: The 21-year-old winger had a successful 2013-14 campaign, finishing with 19 goals and 28 assists. Brandon Saad is poised to surpass those totals this season while being paired on a line with Andrew Shaw and Patrick Kane. And though it still remains to be determined, he figures to see consistent usage on Chicago's power play, after compiling nine points on the man-advantage a season earlier.

Impressive Postseason Ends For Blackhawks' Saad

News: Brandon Saad registered a goal and an assist in a losing effort in Sunday's Game 7 against the Kings.
Analysis: Though the Blackhawks weren't able to repeat as NHL champions, the team has to feel good about the 21-year-old Brandon Saad's emergence as a core offensive player. With 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) in the postseason, Saad finished behind only Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews in scoring for the Blackhawks, while his plus-10 rating ranked tops on the team. He should be ready to assume a more pivotal scoring role for the Blackhawks during the 2014-15 regular season.

Saad Powers Blackhawks To Game 5 Victory

News: Brandon Saad registered a goal, two assists and finished with a plus-4 rating in Wednesday's Game 5 win over the Kings.
Analysis: The trio of Brandon Saad, Andrew Shaw and Patrick Kane proved bothersome to the Kings throughout the contest, with the line combining for nine points and 15 shots on goal. Saad's second assist was the game's most vital, as he scanned the middle of the ice and found an open Michal Handzus, who potted the game-winning goal in double overtime. With five goals, eight assists and a plus-9 rating over 17 postseason games, the 21-year-old Saad has been invaluable for the Blackhawks in their pursuit of a second straight Stanley Cup.

Saad Delivers Two Points For Blackhawks In Game 1

News: Brandon Saad had a goal and an assist in Sunday's Game 1 victory over the Kings.
Analysis: Brandon Saad kicked off the game's scoring six minutes in, finishing off a power-play opportunity for his third goal of the postseason. The 21-year-old will need to show he can be a consistent offensive force throughout a series; he was held pointless in the final three games of the first round against the Blues and the final four games of the second-round series with the Wild.
