Bolts' Johnson Pots Goal In Loss

News: Tyler Johnson potted his 24th goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: That's five points in the last three games now for Tyler Johnson, and five goals in his last eight. The 24-year-old's 61 points were already a career high, but his 24th goal matches his tally from last season. He's just off the pace of a point per game, so keep him rolling.

Bolts' Johnson: Three-Point Night

News: Tyler Johnson scored a goal and added two assists in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Avalanche.
Analysis: It's his first multi-point game in nine outings, but he still has 10 points -- including six goals -- in his last 10 games. And he's just one goal shy of matching his career mark of 24 goals. Use him well.

Bolts' Johnson Rolling Again

News: Tyler Johnson netted his 20th goal of the season in Thursday's loss to the Blues.
Analysis: Tyler Johnson appears to be surging again, as he's racked up three goals and two assists over his last five games. His 54 points on the campaign rank tied for sixth in the NHL.

Bolts' Johnson Gets Two Goals

News: Tyler Johnson scored two goals in Thursday's 5-3 win over Dallas -- a power-play marker and the game-winner at even strength.
Analysis: With that, Tyler Johnson has established a new career mark in points (51), and he's done it in just 51 games. There's no sophomore slump here, that's for sure. Use with confidence.

Bolts' Johnson Looks Ready To Play Tuesday

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) was on the ice for pregame warmups and looks like he'll be cleared to play Tuesday against the Hurricanes, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: The Lightning didn't have an extra forward take part in warmups as insurance in the event of a setback for Tyler Johnson, so consider him good to go for Tuesday's tilt. Johnson was forced to miss out of his first career All-Star appearance due to the untimely injury, but it shouldn't deter fantasy owners from slotting him back into their lineups. With 48 points in 46 games, Johnson checks in ahead of more-heralded teammate Steven Stamkos (45 points) as the Bolts' leading scorer.

Bolts' Johnson Still Game-Time Call

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) is still being regarded as a game-time decision ahead of Tuesday's match against the Hurricanes, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: After coach Jon Cooper labeled him as a game-time call following his participation in practice Monday, Tyler Johnson's status didn't change despite his presence at Tuesday's morning skate. His involvement in both regular line work and power-play duties bode well for Johnson's chances of playing Tuesday, but fantasy owners will want confirmation on his status during warmups before determining whether to keep him active.

Bolts' Johnson A Game-Time Call Tuesday

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) will be a game-time call for Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes.
Analysis: Tyler Johnson's injury was revealed prior to the All-Star break, preventing him from participating in the festivities. He did practice with the team Monday, which could indicate there's a decent chance he plays, but the team should provide a more concrete status prior to the opening faceoff Tuesday.

Lightning's Johnson A Practice Participant

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) was on the ice for Monday's practice, NHL.com's Bryan Burns reports.
Analysis: Per the report, Tyler Johnson didn't appear to be slowed by the lower-body injury that kept him out of the NHL All-Star Game, which bodes well for the forward's chances of suiting up Tuesday against the Hurricanes.

Tampa Bay's Johnson Out For All-Star Game

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) will not play in Sunday's All-Star Game, but he will be eligible to play in Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes if healthy, ESPN reports. He is at the All-Star festivities even though he isn't going to play.
Analysis: Tyler Johnson appears to be sitting out as a precaution more than anything. He played in the last three games leading up to the All-Star break, so there's little reason to think he won't be ready to go for Tuesday's game.

Bolts' Johnson: Two Points In Return From Injury

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) returned to action Thursday in a win over the Oilers. He was reunited with linemates Nikita Kucherov and Ondrej Palat, and set up two goals, including the winner.
Analysis: Holy smokes -- there's no holding this guy down. He missed just a single game and was in red non-contact jersey at Thursday morning's skate. Yet he was out there against the Oil like there was nothing wrong. Get him back in your lineup immediately. He merely has 11 points in his last seven games.

Bolts' Johnson (Lower Body) Appears Set To Play

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) is taking part in line rushes during warmups and appears set to play Thursday against the Oilers, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: He assumed his typical spot on the second line, with Ondrej Palat and Nikita Kucherov flanking him. It seems any concerns about the lower-body injury Tyler Johnson was nursing have subsided, making it worthwhile for his fantasy owners to keep him active Thursday. The center is in the midst of a breakout season, tallying 17 goals and 29 assists over his 43 games thus far.

Bolts' Johnson (Lower Body) Could Be In Thursday

News: Updating a previous report, Tyler Johnson (lower body) is on the ice for pregame warmups and could rejoin the lineup Thursday against the Oilers, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Though coach Jon Cooper never said so outright, it was widely assumed that Tyler Johnson would miss his second game in a row Thursday. However, after the forward was able to participate in the team's morning session, it looks like he could plugged back into the lineup as the Bolts' second-line center. Stay tuned for a follow-up on his status closer to the end of warmups.

Tampa Bay's Johnson Sill Sidelined

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) won't play Thursday against the Oilers.
Analysis: Tyler Johnson thus remains in the day-to-day category, with the report suggesting that there is a good chance that he will be back before the NHL All-Star break. He was able to take part in Thursday's morning skate, but didn't absorb contact.

Johnson Iffy For Lightning's Thursday Game

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) sported a red (non-contact) jersey at Thursday's morning skate, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: At this stage, it looks like Tyler Johnson is unlikely to suit up Thursday against the Oilers, but we'll let you know if that assessment changes.

Lightning's Johnson To Sit Out Tuesday

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) will not play Tuesday against the Bruins, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Tyler Johnson is considered day-to-day with the injury he suffered in Monday's game, so he could return for Tampa Bay's next game Thursday even though he will not play Tuesday night.

Bolts' Johnson (Lower Body) Likely Out Tuesday

News: Tyler Johnson (lower body) will likely miss Tuesday's game against Boston. "There's a good chance (he'll miss Boston)," said Lightning coach Jon Cooper.
Analysis: Tyler Johnson left in the second period of Monday's game; he had an assist before going down. He leads the Bolts in points (45) and assists (29).

Lightning's Johnson Leaves With Lower-Body Injury

News: Tyler Johnson will not return to Monday's game against the Flyers after suffering a lower-body injury, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: The extent of Tyler Johnson's injury hasn't been released and he should be considered day-to-day as a result. Unfortunately for Johnson, the Lightning have a quick turnaround as they play the Bruins on Tuesday.

Analysis: Tyler Johnson just can't be stopped. His 45 points lead the Bolts thrust him ahead of Evgeni Malkin and Claude Giroux into third in league scoring. Yes, you read that right -- go check if you don't believe us. TJ is an auto roll in all formats. #nobrainer.

Tampa's Johnson: 12 Points In Last Nine Outings

News: Tyler Johnson's assist Friday gives him four points -- all assists -- in his last two games. He also has 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in his last nine outings.
Analysis: It's a little hard to fathom, but TJ is leading the Bolts in scoring -- yes, he's ahead of Steven Stamkos. His 41 points in 39 games are a sophomore surprise. Insert him into your lineup and ignore him. He's that good right now.

News: Tyler Johnson has returned to the Tampa Bay lineup for Saturday's game against the Islanders, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Bolts' Johnson A Game-Time Decision Saturday

News: Tyler Johnson (illness) will be a game-time decision Saturday against the Islanders, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Tyler Johnson, who missed Friday's match with the stomach flu, seems to have better odds of participating in Saturday's contest after taking part in the team's optional skate in the morning. The Bolts will assess his health closer to pregame warmups before rendering a verdict on his status for the showdown with the Islanders.
