Sens' Ceci Impresses As Rookie

News: Cody Ceci finished the season with three goals and six assists in 49 games.
Analysis: Cody Ceci was with AHL Binghamton until mid December, but quickly carved out a spot with the Senators after being called up. The team likes his game a lot, and and he'll likely be a fixture on the team's blue line for years to come.

Sens Reassign Ceci

News: The Senators reassigned Cody Ceci to AHL Binghamton on Monday.
Analysis: Cody Ceci picked up three goals and six assists through 49 games with the Sens this season, but will head back to Binghamton to get some more experience in the AHL playoffs. The 21-year-old blueliner carved out a regular spot in the lineup in the second half of the season, and should be an everyday player in 2014-15.

Sens' Ceci Held Pointless In Last Two

News: Cody Ceci has been held without a point in his two games since suffering a cut on his ear Monday night.
Analysis: The slash to the ear never seriously threatened Cody Ceci's ability to play in the Sens' next two games after he was patched up by team doctors. He saw 18-plus minutes Saturday and Sunday and should be a fixture in the lineup for the games to come.

Sens' Ceci Injures Ear

News: Cody Ceci suffered a deep cut on his ear Monday night against the Predators, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Analysis: Cody Ceci got hit in the head by a blast from Shea Weber on Monday night, and immediately headed to the locker room. The team hasn't said anything about a timetable yet, but it's very encouraging that it's not a concussion, and there's no reason to expect him to miss a great deal of time.

Sens' Ceci Scuffles Heading Into Break

News: Cody Ceci compiled just one point in his 10 games leading up to the Olympic break.
Analysis: Cody Ceci averages just over a block and a hit per game, limiting his chances of making much of a fantasy impact when he's not scoring. He'll remain a part of the Sens' defenseman rotation after the break.

Sens' Ceci Making An Impact

News: Cody Ceci has recorded one goal and four assists in 17 games this season.
Analysis: The 20-year-old is also plus-5 since being brought up, and has turned into an everyday player for Ottawa. The team is really excited about his potential, although it's unlikely that anyone saw him having this big of an impact this soon. Cody Ceci's worth keeping an eye on, especially in keeper leagues.

Sens' Rookie Ceci: First Two-Point Game In NHL

News: Cody Ceci put in an impressive performance Saturday in a 4-3 win over the Bruins. He picked up two assists and finished plus-3 in a 19:44 of ice time. He also had one hit and one blocked shot.
Analysis: This kid has a bright future in Canada's capital. His fantasy value may be limited short term, but he will be an excellent complement to Erik Karlsson before very long.

Sens Recall Ceci

News: The Senators recalled Cody Ceci from AHL Binghamton on Thursday, Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: The Sens have been high on Cody Ceci for a while now as a prospect, and he'll finally get a shot to make his NHL debut Thursday against the Sabres when he fills in for the ill Mark Methot. He has two goals and 15 assists in 24 AHL games to date.

Sens' Ceci Picks Up Assist

News: Cody Ceci assisted on what turned out to be the game-winning goal by Colin Greening in Tuesday's preseason win over the Leafs.
Analysis: The Sens' first-round pick in 2012 (15th overall) put four shots on goal in just under 20 minutes of ice time, but also had a bad turnover and some struggles in his own end. The 19-year-old has great size and skill at 6-3, 215, but clearly needs a season in the AHL to hone his defensive game and learn to take better care of the puck. He racked up 19 goals and 64 points in 69 games in juniors last year, and two points in his first three games of AHL exposure, so the offensive upside makes him a worthy keeper-league stash.

Sens Send Ceci Back To Juniors

News: Cody Ceci has been returned to OHL Owen Sound by the Senators, owensoundsuntimes.com reports.
Analysis: The 2012 first-rounder has recorded 41 points in 43 junior games to date, but he was able to get a taste of life with the big club in his training camp stint with the Sens, which will no doubt be a beneficial experience for the promising blueliner.
