Forsberg's Hat Trick Keeps Preds Alive

News: Filip Forsberg potted three goals -- the final one into an empty net on the power play -- for his first NHL playoff hat trick Thursday in Game 5 against the Blackhawks.
Analysis: Filip Forsberg's offensive contributions were a huge reason that the Predators were able to stave off elimination and send the series to Game 6 in Chicago. This has really been a tale of two series for the Swedish winger, who has five points in Nashville's two wins and zero in the three losses.

Preds' Forsberg Grabs Two Points In Game 2 Win

News: Filip Forsberg scored his first career NHL playoff goal and added an assist in Friday's Game 2 win over Chicago.
Analysis: A strong night for Filip Forsberg, whose line with Craig Smith and Mike Ribeiro combined for seven points in the win. Forsberg hasn't show any signs of inexperience in his first two NHL playoff games, firing 10 shots on goal and recording a plus-2 rating. The 20-year-old sniper is a lethal scorer who will need to continue putting up points if the Predators hope to knock off the Blackhawks.

Preds' Forsberg Scores 26th Goal

News: Filip Forsberg netted his 26th goal of the season in Saturday's loss to the Stars.
Analysis: Filip Forsberg finished the season strong, recording three goals and four points in his last three games. The 20-year-old rookie wraps up the season with 64 points and will be playing in the playoffs for the first time in his NHL career. The all-around fantasy stud, who recorded six power-play goals, six game-winning goals and 237 shots on goal this season, is a must-own fantasy option in playoff pools, especially if you're betting on the Predators going deep.

Preds' Forsberg Contributes Two Points

News: Filip Forsberg netted his 24th goal of the season and had an assist in Saturday's loss to Dallas.
Analysis: That's five points in four games for Filip Forsberg, who hit the 60-point barrier with his first point of the game Saturday. Skating on a line with Mike Ribeiro and James Neal, the 20-year-old has had an outstanding season and should be rolled out with confidence in these final few games. With a plus-15 rating and 226 shots on goal, he's a solid all-around fantasy stud.

Preds' Forsberg Posts Three Points In Win

News: Filip Forsberg posted a goal and two assists in Saturday's win over the Capitals.
Analysis: In case the Capitals weren't already feeling down enough after trading Filip Forsberg -- a top candidate for the Calder Trophy -- for a pair of lower-upside bottom-six forwards at the 2013 trade deadline, the 20-year-old rising star made them feel even worse about the decision Saturday. While it's tantalizing to envision what he could do next to Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom, Forsberg is producing just fine next to Mike Ribeiro and Craig Smith. Forsberg has fallen into a bit of a second-half swoon, but his overall numbers remain strong on the season. He's accrued 23 goals, 59 points, and a plus-17 rating over 76 games.

Preds' Forsberg Ends Goal Drought

News: Filip Forsberg scored the game-winning goal on an overtime power play Tuesday against Montreal -- his first score in a month.
Analysis: Filip Forsberg's last goal came exactly one month ago, in fact, on Feb. 24, and he'd only managed three assists over the dozen games in between. His scoring rate's obviously slowed, and his plus-minus has fallen off dramatically from its once-incredible heights to a merely "very good" plus-15, but that's all to be expected from a guy in his first full NHL season. Next year, look out.

Preds' Forsberg Sets Up Tying Goal

News: Filip Forsberg set up the Predators' game-tying goal in an eventual 4-3 loss to the Islanders on Thursday.
Analysis: Filip Forsberg had been held without a point in the Preds' previous four games, which goes down as his longest drought of the season. It's probably not coincidental that Forsberg's recent struggles have mirrored those of his team, who have since ceded the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference standings to the Ducks. In addition to not scoring over that four-game stretch, Forsberg further compounded the issue by going minus-7. Forsberg still has impressive numbers for the season (21 goals, 53 points, plus-14 rating), but it wouldn't be a surprise if the rookie's production remained a little more muted the rest of the way.

Preds' Forsberg Pots Goal In Loss To Isles

News: Filip Forsberg netted his 20th goal of the season in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Islanders.
Analysis: Filip Forsberg leads all NHL rookies with 51 points in 58 games, and barring a late-season collapse, should be considered the favorite for the Calder trophy at the end of the year. Either way, Forsberg has been instrumental in the Predators' rise to the top of the NHL standings this season. From a fantasy perspective, he should be in your lineup every time he takes to the ice - but of course you already knew that.

Preds' Forsberg Nets Two More Points

News: Filip Forsberg had a goal and an assist -- both on the man advantage -- in Thursday's win over the Jets.
Analysis: After one game off the scoresheet, he got right back on the horse in a big way. Filip Forsberg hasn't had a three-game scoreless stretch since November. He's been that consistently excellent.

Preds' Forsberg Pots Goal In Win

News: Filip Forsberg tallied a power-play goal in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: Filip Forsberg's assist streak comes to an end at four straight but he found the back of the net to extend his point streak to five consecutive and eight of his last nine. With the goal, the 20-year-old notched his 15th point on the power play and 48th of the season, with 70 points being a reasonable expectation.

Preds' Forsberg: Assist Streak Hits Four Games

News: Filip Forsberg gathered an assist in Saturday's win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Filip Forsberg has collected assists in a season-high four consecutive games. The rookie has curiously seen his shot attempts dip to less than two per game during that time, but so long as he's staying productive as a scorer in some capacity, fantasy owners won't complain.

Preds' Forsberg Assists Twice In Win

News: Filip Forsberg collected two assists in Sunday's win over the Penguins.

Preds' Forsberg Nets 16th Goal

News: Filip Forsberg netted his 16th goal of the season in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Avalanche.
Analysis: With the goal, Filip Forsberg was able to maintain the team lead in the category ahead of Colin Wilson, who also scored in the win. The youngster is still flying high after scoring two goals in this past weekend's All-Star Game, and should remain a high-end fantasy asset in the second half.

Preds' Forsberg Notches Goal In Victory

News: Filip Forsberg tallied a goal on one of his four shot attempts in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Canucks.
Analysis: Filip Forsberg's 15th goal of the season came on a wrist shot that bounced off goalie Eddie Lack and over the line to light the lamp. It broke a seven-game goal drought for the 20-year-old, tying his longest of the season.

Preds' Forsberg: Assists In Three Of Last Four

News: Filip Forsberg was credited with an assist in Sunday's loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: The rookie has a helper in three of his last four games, enabling him to stay productive for fantasy owners while not finding the net on any of his 14 shots during that span. The 20-year-old continues to chug along at a point-per-game scoring pace, and given his impressive pedigree, he shouldn't necessarily be viewed as a sell-high candidate.

Preds' Forsberg Dominates Vs. Flyers

News: Filip Forsberg scored a power-play goal, added an assist, and recorded seven shots on goal in Saturday's win over the Flyers.
Analysis: A dominant outing from Filip Forsberg, who leads the Predators with 14 goals (four game-winners) and 34 points in 34 games, to go with an NHL-leading plus-24 rating. He's been an absolute monster this season and is a big reason why the Predators currently sit third in the Western Conference. The 20-year-old is on pace for 30 goals and 80 points, meaning he needs to be in your lineup every night he's in action.

Analysis: The 20-year-old Filip Forsberg has been a key component of the Preds' resurgence this year, currently skating with Mike Ribeiro and Craig Smith on the team's top line. With 32 points in as many games, Forsberg is one of the NHL's biggest success stories for the season to date. Keep him rolling.

Preds' Forsberg Notches Two Helpers

News: Filip Forsberg picked up a power-play assist and an even-strength helper in Thursday's 5-1 rout of the Coyotes.

Preds' Forsberg Scores One For Highlight Reels

News: Filip Forsberg scored a gorgeous breakaway goal -- the only one of Nashville's three to come against opposing goalie Calvin Pickard -- early in the first period of Tuesday's 3-0 win over Colorado. He also added an empty-net assist.
Analysis: Just another good outing for Filip Forsberg, who's found his scoring a little spottier lately -- he's gone without a point in six of the last nine games -- but is still on a point-per-game pace and continues to put up quality plus-minus all the time. He's now plus-23 on the year, three ticks ahead of Calgary's T.J. Brodie.
