Ducks' Lindholm Stays Hot

News: Hampus Lindholm recorded an assist and a plus-2 rating Monday against the Red Wings.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm continued his great form of late with another monster night patrolling the Ducks' blue line. The young Swede played over 28 minutes, added 7 SOGs, and took a minor penalty. Lindholm's numbers should continue to stay strong with Sami Vatanen out. Get him into your lineup.

Two Points, Plus-4 For Ducks' Lindholm

News: Hampus Lindholm scored a goal, chipped in an assist and skated to an impressive plus-4 rating in Friday's 6-3 victory over the Flames.
Analysis: What a night for the blueliner, whose goal was an empty-net tally but hey, they all count right? The sophomore is now three points shy of his 30-point rookie total from 2013-14, and could be a very valuable asset down the stretch with fellow d-man Sami Vatanen (lower body), out until mid-to-late March.

Ducks' Lindholm (Ankle) Will Play Friday

News: Hampus Lindholm (ankle) will play Friday against the Flames, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm said he just needed rest, and it appears he's gotten enough. He will be back in the lineup Friday, coming off a game Sunday in which he assisted on two goals. Over 55 games this season, the blueliner has 25 points (20 assists, five goals) in 21:58 of ice time. He should be good to go moving forward barring a setback of some kind.

Ducks' Lindholm A Game-Time Decision Friday

News: Hampus Lindholm (ankle) is considered a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Flames, Dan Wood of AM 830 KLAA reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm was able to return to practice Thursday and skated Friday morning, so the expectation seems to be that he'll return to the lineup. The Ducks may skate seven defensemen in their warmup just as a precaution in the event Lindholm suffers a late setback, but his availability should be clarified in the minutes leading up to the contest. If Lindholm can't play, Eric Brewer would likely assume his spot on the Ducks' second defensive pairing.

Ducks' Lindholm Returns To Ice Thursday

News: Hampus Lindholm (ankle) was back on the ice for the team's practice Thursday morning, Dan Wood of AM 830 KLAA reports.
Analysis: It's great news for Hampus Lindholm, who was forced to sit out Wednesday's loss to the Lightning with the injury. His return to practice suggests that it's just a minor issue, and he could be ready to go for Friday's game against the Flames. Expect the Ducks to provide clarification on Lindholm's status after Friday's morning skate.

Ducks' Lindholm (Ankle) Out Wednesday

News: Hampus Lindholm (ankle) is not on the ice for warmups and will not play Wednesday against Tampa Bay, Elliott Teaford of the Los Angeles News Group reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm entered Wednesday as a game-time decision after aggravating his ankle injury. His next chance to play will be Friday against the Flames.

Ducks' Lindholm A Game-Time Call Wednesday

News: Hampus Lindholm (ankle) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Lightning, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: While coach Bruce Boudreau didn't specify the nature of Hampus Lindholm's issue, the report hints that the blueliner -- who notched two helpers on Sunday -- may have tweaked his ankle again. Expect an update on his status to be announced during pregame warmups.

Ducks' Lindholm Registers Two Assists

News: Hampus Lindholm registered two assists in 19:40 of ice time in Sunday's loss to Washington.
Analysis: It was the 20th assist of the season for Hampus Lindholm, who now has 25 points and a plus-14 rating in 55 games. Sami Vatanen left Sunday's game with a lower-body injury, so Lindholm may be counted on to produce more offense if Vatanen is out long-term. In just his second NHL season, Lindholm has already turned into one of the league's best two-way defensemen. He's maturing very well and is going to be a fantasy force for many years to come.

Ducks' Lindholm Back In Lineup Thursday

News: Hampus Lindholm (lower body) will rejoin the Ducks' lineup Thursday against the Hurricanes, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: The injury forced Hampus Lindholm out of Tuesday's loss to the Panthers, but he checked out fine upon returning to practice Wednesday. Lindholm is set to pair up with Francois Beauchemin on Thursday and should see his usual allotment of minutes.

Ducks' Lindholm (Lower Body) Practices Wednesday

News: Hampus Lindholm (lower body) was on the ice for the team's practice Wednesday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm had two points in four games before suffering the lower-body injury, but it forced him to miss Tuesday's game against the Panthers. His presence at practice Wednesday is a promising sign, but an official designation for Thursday's contest against the Hurricanes should be revealed at some point before the opening faceoff.

Ducks Rule Lindholm Out Tuesday

News: Hampus Lindholm (lower body) will not play Tuesday against the Panthers, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm wasn't on the ice for pregame warmups after missing Monday's practice with the injury. The 21-year-old, who has five goals, 18 assists, and a plus-13 rating over 53 games, will be replaced in the lineup by Ben Lovejoy. Lindholm's next chance to play will come Thursday on the road against the Hurricanes.

Ducks' Lindholm Questionable For Tuesday

News: Hampus Lindholm (lower body) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Panthers, the Ducks' official website reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm participated in morning skate, but he was not in the regular defensive pairings alongside Francois Beauchemin. If Lindholm cannot play, Ben Lovejoy figures to join the lineup.

Ducks' Lindholm Day-To-Day

News: Hampus Lindholm is day-to-day with a lower body injury.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm's status for Tuesday's game against the Panthers is thus cloudy after the blueliner -- who has 23 points in 53 games thus far -- missed Monday's practice.

Ducks' Lindholm Picks Up PP Assist

News: Hampus Lindholm gathered a power-play assist in Tuesday's win over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm has now picked up assists in three of his last four games, bringing his total up to 17 for the season. The 21-year-old's 22 points and plus-13 rating over 50 games aren't eye-popping, but are solid enough totals to give him value in mid-sized or deeper formats.

Two Points For Ducks' Lindholm

News: Hampus Lindholm scored his fifth goal of the year -- the game-winner -- and chipped in an assist in Friday's 5-1 win over the visiting Devils.
Analysis: The defender also upped his team-leading plus/minus to plus-14 in the contest, a stat that has given him increased value in leagues that count it. Hampus Lindholm also has four points in the last five games after a five-game pointless drought, so it might be a good time to jump on the bandwagon if he's available and you're in need of help on the back end.

Ducks' Lindholm Set To Play Monday

News: Hampus Lindholm (lower body) will return to the lineup Monday against the Sharks, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm missed Friday's 6-2 loss to the Senators with the injury, but was able to convince coach Bruce Boudreau he was healthy after participating fully in Monday's morning skate. He'll form a defensive pair with Mark Fistric.

Ducks' Lindholm Scratched Friday With Injury

News: Hampus Lindholm was scratched from Friday's lineup due to a lower-body injury, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm's injury is considered minor, and he was still able to take the warmup, despite being scratched. Expect him to be healthy and ready to go for Monday's game against the Sharks.

Ducks' Lindholm: Seven Points In Last Nine Games

News: Hampus Lindholm picked up an assist in Saturday's win over Winnipeg. He now has seven points, six of which are helpers, in his last nine games.
Analysis: He'd put up his first seven points in his first 23 games and it looked like he was in a bit of sophomore slump. But this last stretch puts him on a pace to modestly increase his output from his 30-point season from last year. He still needs to increase his physicality, but that will come. This guy is going to be very, very good in a short period of time.

Three-Game Assist Streak For Ducks' Lindholm

News: Hampus Lindholm has picked up an assist in each of the Ducks' last three games.
Analysis: Though Hampus Lindholm could struggle to match last season's stellar plus-29 mark while he remains at plus-11 through 29 games, it does look as though the young blueliner could push for his second straight 30-point campaign. Though he's been outshone by teammate Sami Vatanen so far in 2014-15, Lindholm has managed a respectable three goals and nine assists. The 20-year-old may be a few years away from hitting his peak, but he certainly shouldn't be ignored as a fantasy contributor right now.

Ducks' Lindholm Nets First Goal

News: Hampus Lindholm scored for the first time this season in a 6-2 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
Analysis: He has three points in the last three games but is definitely known more for his defense than offense. He's not generally an asset in fantasy leagues aside from contributing in the plus-minus department.

Ducks' Lindholm Snaps Scoring Slump

News: Hampus Lindholm gathered two assists in Wednesday's shootout victory over the Kings.
Analysis: Averaging 22:50 of ice time per contest, the 20-year-old Hampus Lindholm has already established himself as a lineup mainstay for Anaheim, but he's not emerged as a consistent source of offense just yet. Prior to Wednesday's two-point outing, Lindholm had mustered just one point in his previous 12 contests. Last season's 30-point debut hints that there's some scoring upside to be had with Lindholm, but at this point in his career, he'll probably be more of a fantasy asset in terms of plus/minus and total ice time.

Ducks' Lindholm Nets First Goal

News: Hampus Lindholm netted his first goal of the season in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche.
Analysis: With three points in 13 games, Hampus Lindholm hasn't exactly taken the offensive step forward many were expecting after a 30-point debut in 2013-14, but the 20-year-old has still been a reliable contributor among the Ducks' top four blueliners. Even if he fails to notice a dramatic uptick in his scoring as his sophomore season wears on, Lindholm figures to finish among the league leaders in plus/minus by virtue of playing for one of the league's best teams. He finished with a plus-29 mark over 78 games as a rookie, and already checks in at plus-8 less than a quarter of the way through the new season.

Ducks' Lindholm Looks Set To Play Tuesday

News: Hampus Lindholm (illness) was on the ice for pregame warmups and looks prepared to play Tuesday against the Blackhawks, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm skated with usual defensive partner Francois Beauchemin at the morning session and didn't remain on the ice afterward for extra work, suggesting he'll be fully available Tuesday. The 20-year-old has no goals and two points in nine games, but he's been able to bask in the halo effect of the Ducks' 7-2 start, netting a plus-7 rating on the season.

Ducks' Lindholm Dealing With Illness

News: Hampus Lindholm is dealing with flu-like symptoms and wasn't able to practice Monday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm has been able to play in nine games for Anaheim this season, although his availability is in question for Tuesday's game against Chicago. If he's ultimately unable to play, his next opportunity to get on the ice will be Thursday against St. Louis.

Ducks' Lindholm Returns For Game 1

News: Hampus Lindholm (neck) returned to the ice for Saturday's Game 1 loss to the Kings.
Analysis: Hampus Lindholm was on the ice for both of the Ducks' goals to finish plus-2 on the evening. He also logged three hits and three blocked shots on the defensive end in his 21:34 of action. Lindholm figures to be a mainstay in the Ducks' lineup the rest of the postseason so long as he stays healthy.
