Analysis: Colin White is almost certain to miss Wednesday's game against the Canucks, though the Sharks are off for four days after that, so we suppose he has a much better chance of plating Monday, when the Sharks also skate against Vancouver.

Sharks' White Returns From Injury

News: According to Sharks coach Todd McLellan, Colin White had been dealing with a stiff and sore neck that caused him to miss two games before returning to action Friday night in Detroit, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analysis: Colin White logged a healthy amount of playing time (14:22) in Friday's win against the Red Wings, but he's still searching for his first point of the season. It's safe to leave the former Devil alone in the fantasy realm until he finally gets going with his new team.

Sharks' White Warming The Bench As Of Late

News: Colin White was scratched from Tuesday's eventual 3-1 win over the Predators, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analysis: The Sharks have won the past two games sans Colin White and Jason Demers, whom are both struggling as owners of minus ratings in the plus/minus column. There are clearly safer options out there, especially considering White is still looking for his first point of the season.

Sharks' White Assigned To Third Defensive Pair

News: Colin White will make up a third defensive pairing with Jason Demers in Saturday's home opener against the Coyotes, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analysis: Colin White had spent 11 consecutive years playing exclusively for the Devils, so it will be interesting to see how fast he can make an impression for the Sharks. But since White has never been too heavy of an offensive contributor, he likely will go without much fanfare in the fantasy realm.

New Jersey Without White

News: White (lower body) won't play Saturday against the Sabres, Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: With just six assists and 48 PIMs in 69 games to date, White's name is not likely to be on many people's fantasy radars anyway.

Devils' White Unlikely To Play

News: White (lower body) is unlikely to play Saturday against Buffalo, the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: "I doubt I'll play tonight," White said Saturday morning. "I'll give it a rest for a day and see how I feel...I don't think it will be long, so I'm not going to overthink it." White appeared to suffer a right leg injury in Friday's game when his foot hit the boards while he was trying to kick the puck.

Devils' White Suffers Injury Friday

News: White suffered a lower body injury during Friday's game at Pittsburgh and will not return, according to Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record.
Analysis: The stay-at-home White only has six points all season -- and no goals -- so the bigger implication here is that the Devils are starting to run out of playoff life and can't really afford to be without one of their best defensive defensemen.

A Rarity For Devils' White

News: White notched two assists and finished a plus-3 in Tuesday's win over Carolina.
Analysis: One will not see this many numbers after White's name in a box score again unless it's in the penalty minute category. White factored much into Tuesday's win, but he also looked lost on Jeff Skinner's third-period power-play goal that put New Jersey behind. White's a defensive player and won't contribute much to the team's attack.
