Flames' Shore Back In Lineup Friday

News: Drew Shore (undisclosed) will reenter the lineup Friday against the Wild, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: Drew Shore's last appearance came on March 14 before he suffered the setback, but it's unclear if the injury has kept him out for each of the last five games or if he was a healthy scratch for some of those contests. Regardless, he'll slot back in on the third line for Friday's contest, but don't expect him to enjoy much security in the Calgary lineup.

Flames' Shore Out Again Wednesday

News: Drew Shore (undisclosed) will not play Wednesday against the Stars, Roger Millions of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis: It's not clear if Drew Shore is still nursing the injury or if he's being regarded as a healthy scratch at this point. In any case, the young center will miss his fifth straight game, and doesn't figure to pick up much regular action with the Flames in what's left of the season.

News: Drew Shore (undisclosed) will not play in Monday's game against the Avalanche.
Analysis: Drew Shore will be missing his fourth-straight game Monday and should be considered day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's tilt against the Stars.

Flames Scratch Shore With Injury

News: Drew Shore (undisclosed) will not play Saturday against the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: With both Drew Shore and Josh Jooris still nursing injuries, coach Bob Hartley will stick with the same lineup he used in Thursday's win over the Flyers.

Flames' Shore To Sit Out With Injury Thursday

News: Drew Shore will miss Thursday's game against the Flyers due to a minor undisclosed injury, Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: Drew Shore didn't participate in Thursday's morning skate due to the injury, but it doesn't sound like the Flames are worried about it costing him much action. With Josh Jooris also ailing, Markus Granlund will reenter the lineup as the Flames' third-line center.

Flames' Shore Nabs Goal In Return

News: Drew Shore (undisclosed) returned to the lineup Friday against the Maple Leafs, nabbing a goal on one of his two shot attempts.
Analysis: The injury cost Drew Shore one game, but he quickly stepped back into a bottom-six role, earning 13:42 of ice time in his return. He's put up two points and a minus-3 rating over six games with the Flames this season.

Flames' Shore Out For Wednesday's Game

News: Drew Shore (undisclosed) will not play Wednesday against the Ducks, Sportsnet.ca's Pat Steinberg reports.
Analysis: As anticipated, coach Bob Hartley indicated Drew Shore was still a little "banged up" from Sunday's game against the Senators, which will force him to take some time off to rest up. Michael Ferland will enter the lineup in place of Shore.

Flames' Shore Doubtful For Wednesday

News: Coach Bob Hartley relayed that Drew Shore is "banged up" and likely won't play in Wednesday's game against the Ducks, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
Analysis: Consider Drew Shore, who has notched one assist in four games with Calgary since his latest recall on Mar. 2, day-to-day for the time being.

Flames Recall Shore

News: Drew Shore was recalled from AHL Adirondack on Monday.
Analysis: Drew Shore was acquired in January and was later reassigned to the AHL. He's now back with the club, giving the team depth while Matt Stajan is away on leave. Over the course of 47 games between two different AHL clubs this season, the 23-year-old has 37 points (12 goals, 25 assists).

Flames Assign Shore To Minors

News: Drew Shore was reassigned to AHL Adirondack on Tuesday.
Analysis: With Josh Jooris (wrist) closing in on a return and the Flames requiring an extra defenseman following Ladislav Smid's (undisclosed) placement on IR, Drew Shore couldn't be stashed as an extra forward. It's probably to the 23-year-old's benefit, as he's better served playing regularly in the minors than serving as a healthy scratch with the Flames, as he did the past two games.

Flames Recall Shore From Minors

News: Drew Shore was recalled from AHL Adirondack on Wednesday, Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: Drew Shore will provide the Flames with an extra center while Josh Jooris (undisclosed) remains on injured reserve with a nagging injury. It's not clear if the Flames plan on using Shore in Thursday's game against the Coyotes, but he'd likely be nothing more than a bottom-six forward if he earns a lineup spot.

Panthers Trade Shore To Flames

News: Drew Shore was traded to the Flames on Friday, NHL.com's Aaron Vickers reports.
Analysis: The Panthers received Corban Knight in exchange for Drew Shore in the trade. Shore tallied 30 points through 35 games with AHL San Antonio this season, and could receive a look on the Flames' third line at some point later this season. He will report to Calgary's AHL affiliate at Adirondack for the time being.

Panthers' Shore Among Friday's Cuts

News: Drew Shore was assigned to AHL San Antonio on Friday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Drew Shore didn't generate the training camp buzz that Vincent Trocheck, Rocco Grimaldi and Quinton Howden did, but he's still a promising young forward the Panthers believe has a bright future. He appeared in 24 games for the parent club last season, potting five goals and adding two assists. Expect him to get another long look with the Panthers at some point later this season.
