Bolts' Killorn Nets Game-Winner Friday

News: Alex Killorn scored the game-winning goal Friday against the Red Wings.
Analysis: It was the fifth game-winning goal of the season for Alex Killorn, who is up to 15 goals and 37 points in 64 games. Skating on the top line with Steven Stamkos, Killorn has been producing steadily of late. While he's only recorded three multi-point games all season, Killorn has recorded at least one point in six of his last nine games, so if you're looking for a solid point producer in deeper leagues, he could be your man.

Point Streak Hits Four For Bolts' Killorn

News: Alex Killorn has tallied a point in each of his first four games to open March, accumulating two goals and two assists.
Analysis: Aside from a minor dry spell in December, Alex Killorn has been a rather consistent producer all season. He doesn't receive the buzz of some of the Bolts' other forwards, but with 14 goals, 35 points, and a plus-8 rating over 59 games, Killorn has returned solid value in mid-sized and deeper formats. Expect more of the same over the season's final four weeks.

Bolts' Killorn Picks Up Another Assist

News: Alex Killorn collected an assist in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: Alex Killorn is on pace for 42 points, one more than he recorded last season. The Lightning currently have the most team goals (210) in the NHL, and it's effectively taking some pressure off Killorn in his third season. Keep an eye on him in deeper formats.

Bolts' Killorn Tallies Assist Wednesday

News: Alex Killorn tallied an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.
Analysis: The 25-year-old is starting to heat up again, as he's compiled a goal and two assists over his past four games. Alex Killorn was slotted next to Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan on the top line during Wednesday's contest, but on a deep Tampa Bay squad, it doesn't matter all that much where he slots in. So long as he holds down a top-nine role, Killorn should be able to chug along at a half-point-per-game pace while supplying a useful plus/minus rating.

Tampa's Killorn: Point Streak At Three Games

News: Alex Killorn extended his point streak to three games and four assists after picking up a helper in Tuesday's OT loss to St. Louis.
Analysis: He has delivered nine points, including seven assists, in his last 10 games. Check your wire -- he might just be available.

Bolts' Killorn Helps Out On Two In Win

News: Alex Killorn contributed two assists in Thursday's win over the Red Wings.
Analysis: It's the second multi-point effort in three games for Alex Killorn, who has accumulated three goals and six assists in January. If he can maintain his current scoring rate, he'll come close to matching the 41 points he submitted for the Bolts last season.

Bolts' Killorn Nets Two Goals Including Winner

News: Alex Killorn scored two goals, including the game winner, in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Vancouver. The winner was a beautiful blocker side snipe that went top shelf over Ryan Miller's shoulder.
Analysis: He has three points in his last two games and seven points (three goals, four assists) in his last nine games. He's been extremely consistent in his production across three seasons, so don't expect anything more than about a point every two games unless his role changes. And that's not likely to happen any time soon.

Bolts' Killorn Playing Well In January

News: Alex Killorn assisted on Steven Stamkos' game-winning goal Friday against the Sabres.
Analysis: Alex Killorn has opened January with a goal, two assists and eight shots on goal over four games. He's unlikely to average much more than a half-point per game the rest of the way, but even that level of production carries value in deeper formats.

Bolts' Killorn Active In Victory

News: Alex Killorn recorded five shots, four PIM and found the back of the net for the decisive tally in Saturday's win over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: The third-period tally halted a 12-game goal drought for Alex Killorn, who stealthily used the Canes' Tim Gleason as a shield before getting a wrister past netminder Cam Ward. Three of Killorn's eight goals on the season have been game-winners, putting him in a tie with Ryan Callahan for the team lead in that regard.

Bolts' Killorn: Improving On Last Year

News: Alex Killorn's assist Thursday gives him 14 points in 22 games.
Analysis: He's a solid hockey citizen who can play on just about on every line -- he's just that responsible. So that means he gets slotted into a more defensive role than his fantasy owners would like. Still, his point-per-game pace is up from last season, so he's finding a way. This guy has a solid fantasy future as a complementary scorer. See where that fits in your fantasy format.

Bolts' Killorn On Seven-Game Streak

News: Alex Killorn potted a goal and added an assist in Saturday's win over the Senators. His point streak now stands at seven games and eight points, including five goals.
Analysis: "He's playing the game fast," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. "When he gets his nose dirty and moving his feet, he was really good." It's a career streak for him -- take advantage. He's rolling on the Bolts' top line and is really clicking with Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan.

Bolts' Killorn: Gets Game Winner, Stretches Streak

News: Alex Killorn scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory over the Wild. The goal stretched his point streak to five games and five points, and his goal streak to four games.
Analysis: He started off slowly this season, going without a point in his first three games. But since then, Alex Killorn has been a steady offensive presence with nine points, including six goals, in the last 11 games. He'll deliver even-strength points and a few shots on goal, if that's what you need.

Bolts' Killorn: Three-Game Streak

News: Alex Killorn scored a goal in the Lightning's loss to the Islanders on Tuesday night. It stretched his point streak to three games and three points (two goals, one assist).
Analysis: He missed time with an upper-body injury, but when he's in the lineup, he's delivering ... to tune of seven points in 12 games. It's not spectacular, but slow and steady wins the race, particularly in head-to-head formats.

Bolts' Killorn Nets Third Of Season

News: Alex Killorn notched his third goal of the season in Monday's 5-1 victory over the Rangers.
Analysis: He's now gotten on the scoresheet twice in three games since returning from an upper body injury to reach six points in eleven games. He registered 41 last season and could reach the 40 point plateau once again this season.

Bolts' Killorn Confirmed As In Thursday

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) is on the ice for pregame warmups and should be in the lineup Thursday against the Sharks, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Cedric Paquette is the only skater from Tuesday's lineup who wasn't on the ice, so it looks like he'll head to the press box to clear the way for Alex Killorn's return. Killorn has played in just three of the Bolts' previous 11 games while dealing with two separate injuries.

Lightning's Killorn Ready To Return

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) is considered probable for Thursday's game against the Sharks, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's website reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn made it through Thursday's morning skate without issue, so he should be available Thursday for the first time since Nov. 1. It remains to be seen if he will be in the lineup, however.

Bolts' Killorn Unlikely To Play Tuesday

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) wasn't on the ice for morning skate and will miss Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports. "We're hoping by Thursday that he will be able to return," coach Jon Cooper said.
Analysis: Alex Killorn will miss his fourth straight game with the injury, but his absence isn't exactly devastating to the high-octane Lightning offense. Tampa has won each of its last three games while netting 16 goals, with three of the tallies coming from Cedric Paquette, Killorn's de facto replacement in the lineup.

Lightning's Killorn (Upper Body) Out Again Sunday

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) won't play again Sunday against the Red Wings, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn left Nov. 1 against the Caps with the injury, and didn't play in either of the previous two games. It's unclear how severe the injury is, but it will cause him to miss his third straight game Sunday.

Bolts' Killorn Out Again Saturday

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) didn't take part in line rushes at morning skate and isn't expected to play Saturday against the Blue Jackets, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn did show a semblance of improvement in ditching the no-contact jersey at morning skate, but he still appears set to miss his second straight contest with the injury. His absence will let the Bolts get another look at Cedric Paquette, who tallied his first two NHL goals while filling in for Killorn in Thursday's win over the Flames.

Bolts' Killorn Doubtful For Thursday

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Flames, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: It sounds like Alex Killorn may be more banged up than originally thought, and considering he was already on IR this season with an upper body injury, the Bolts would be well served to make sure he's fully healthy before returning.

Bolts' Killorn Not At Practice

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) did not practice with the team Monday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn left Saturday's game with the injury, which is not a good sign considering he was previously on IR with an upper body injury. The Lightning don't return to action until Thursday against the Flames, so there's still plenty of time for him to get healthy before the puck drops.

Bolts' Killorn Suffers Upper-Body Injury

News: Alex Killorn suffered an upper-body injury in Saturday's game against Washington and will not return, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn just returned earlier this week from an upper-body injury, so it is possible that Saturday's ailment is a reoccurrence of the previous injury. Fortunately, the Lightning's schedule should give Killorn a bit of relief, as the Bolts don't play again until Thursday.

Bolts' Killorn Activated, Will Play Tuesday

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) has been activated from injured reserve and will play Tuesday against the Coyotes, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn, who had been out since Oct. 20 after suffering the upper-body injury during a morning skate in Edmonton, is expected to join Steven Stamkos and Valterri Filppula on the Bolts' top line. He missed a total of four games due to the ailment.

Bolts Place Killorn On IR

News: Alex Killorn (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday but is considered close to a return, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: With Alex Killorn already ruled out Saturday for the Bolts' fourth straight game, he'll be placed on injured reserve retroactively and will be able to play as soon as the team determines he's healthy. Killorn suffered the injury during Monday's morning skate when he collided hard into the end boards with his shoulder and head, resulting in some soreness and tightness but no concussion-like symptoms. If he's able to get in a practice in the next two days, he could be cleared to return to action Tuesday against the Coyotes.

Bolts' Killorn Out For Saturday

News: Alex Killorn (undisclosed) will not play Saturday against the Wild, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn is reportedly close to returning, but he won't be in the lineup Saturday. Keep an eye out for him to possibly return for Tuesday's matchup with the Coyotes.
