Bolts' Killorn Scores In Game 1 Loss

News: Alex Killorn scored the lone Tampa goal in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday.
Analysis: Alex Killorn potted a highlight-reel backhanded tip-in just four minutes into Wednesday's Game 1, but that turned out to be all the Lightning could put past Corey Crawford. The center is having a productive playoffs, though, with eight goals and nine assists in 21 games to date.

Bolts' Killorn Scores Game-Winning Goal In Game 7

News: Alex Killorn scored the game-winning goal Friday in Game 7 against the Rangers.
Analysis: A massive goal for Alex Killorn, who helped the Lightning punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals. The 25-year-old has now scored seven goals this postseason -- sixth most in the NHL. The first-liner continues to be a lethal offensive threat every night in these playoffs, firing 52 shots on goal and racking up 16 points. Look for his unit with Steve Stamkos and Valtteri Filppula to continue to produce points against either the Ducks or Blackhawks.

Bolts' Killorn Records Two Points, Nine SOG In Win

News: Alex Killorn tallied a goal, assist, and a game-high nine shot attempts in Wednesday's Game 3 triumph over the Rangers.
Analysis: Alex Killorn's shot total was more than twice as many as any other player on the ice Wednesday night. He's been a bit overshadowed by the production from the Triplets line during the postseason, but Killorn has been essential to the Bolts' success thus far. In 16 playoff games, he's registered six goals, eight assists, and a plus-6 rating.

Bolts' Killorn Scores Twice In Game 2 Win

News: Alex Killorn collected three points as he scored twice and picked up a short-handed assist in Monday's Game 2 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Alex Killorn had an impressive series against the Canadiens as he notched a goal and four assists in the six game series, and is continuing to produce this round. Skating alongside Steven Stamkos on the first line, and also contributing on the power play, Killorn figures to continue working his way onto the scoresheet for the high-powered Bolts offense.

Five-Point Series For Bolts' Killorn

News: Alex Killorn collected an assist in Tuesday's series-clinching win over the Habs, giving him five points over the six-game stretch.
Analysis: The "Triplets" line of Ondrej Palat, Tyler Johnson, and Nikita Kucherov caused nightmares for the Canadiens all series long, but Alex Killorn's contributions next to Steven Stamkos on the top line shouldn't be overlooked. Killorn now has three goals and six assists over 13 postseason contests, making him a valuable supplemental scorer on a squad rich in high-end forward talent.

Bolts' Killorn Adds Two Helpers In Win

News: Alex Killorn chipped in with two power-play assists in Sunday's Game 2 win over the Canadiens.
Analysis: Alex Killorn ended the regular season cold as he failed to get on the scoresheet in the final five games, but he's been able to turn the page since the start of the playoffs as he's now registered six points in nine games this postseason. The most encouraging news, however, may be that linemate Steven Stamkos broke out for three points in the win, so Killorn should benefit from his captain waking up out of his slump.

Bolts' Killorn Paces Attack In Game 6

News: Alex Killorn netted a goal on a team-high seven shot attempts in Monday's Game 6 victory over the Red Wings.
Analysis: After the Bolts raced to an early 3-0 lead, the Red Wings responded with two Tomas Tatar goals before Alex Killorn closed the door on their comeback bid. It's just the third point of the postseason for Killorn, whose production often crests and wanes with Steven Stamkos, his usual linemate. With Stamkos struggling through the first six games, it may be difficult to count on Killorn building on his Game 6 performance.

Lightning's Killorn Ready To Go

News: Alex Killorn (undisclosed) will play in Thursday's playoff opener against the Red Wings, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: With Alex Killorn -- who last played on April 2 -- back in the mix, Erik Erlandsson of The Tampa Tribune suggests that Jonathan Drouin could be the odd man out up front for the Lightning on Thursday. With Killorn a candidate to see top line and second power-play unit work in Game 1, the forward could end up being a solid value in playoff formats.

Bolts' Killorn Expected Back Thursday

News: Alex Killorn (undisclosed) is expected to return to the lineup for Thursday's playoff opener against the Red Wings, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn has been practicing with full contact since Monday and appears ready to reclaim a spot in the Tampa Bay lineup after missing the final three regular-season contests. He was used on the Bolts' top line and second power-play unit at Wednesday's practice, which should make him a useful, yet inexpensive option in daily leagues during the playoffs.

Bolts' Killorn Sheds No-Contact Jersey

News: Alex Killorn (undisclosed) shed his no-contract jersey for Monday's practice, Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: The Lightning suggested last week that they were planning on having Alex Killorn available for the first game of their first-round playoff series, and that plans still seems to hold true for the moment. Killorn skated alongside Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan on the Bolts' top line at Monday's practice, and with another positive session Tuesday, he should receive clearance to play Thursday against the Red Wings.

Bolts' Killorn Targeting A Return For Game 1

News: Coach Jon Cooper said Thursday that Alex Killorn (undisclosed) is being considered probable for Game 1 of the Lightning's first-round playoff series, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: The Lightning appear to have ruled out a regular-season return for Alex Killorn, but his presence on the ice at Thursday's optional practice suggests he's probably not too far away from playing again. He was limited to no-contact drills during Thursday's session, but could increase his involvement in practice within the next couple of days.

Bolts' Killorn Likely Out For Regular Season

News: Coach Jon Cooper suggested Tuesday that Alex Killorn (undisclosed) is unlikely to return for the Lightning's remaining two games of the regular season. "I don't think it's anything that's going to keep him out of the first round," Cooper said. "But another week and a half, and I'm hopeful he'll be back."
Analysis: Alex Killorn wasn't a participant in Tuesday's practice and hasn't skated since suffering the injury during last Thursday's game against the Senators. Although the Lightning would ideally like Killorn to log another regular-season appearance before throwing him back into the lineup during the playoffs, avoiding a potential aggravation of the injury is the team's primary objective.

Bolts' Killorn Out Saturday

News: Alex Killorn has an undisclosed injury and will not play Saturday against the Panthers, Erik Erlandsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Alex Killorn hasn't logged a point since March 24, so owners may have had trepidation in using him anyway, but for now he's listed as day-to-day. It looks like the Lightning will get Tyler Johnson back for the forward ranks, however.

Bolts' Killorn Nets Game-Winner Friday

News: Alex Killorn scored the game-winning goal Friday against the Red Wings.
Analysis: It was the fifth game-winning goal of the season for Alex Killorn, who is up to 15 goals and 37 points in 64 games. Skating on the top line with Steven Stamkos, Killorn has been producing steadily of late. While he's only recorded three multi-point games all season, Killorn has recorded at least one point in six of his last nine games, so if you're looking for a solid point producer in deeper leagues, he could be your man.

Point Streak Hits Four For Bolts' Killorn

News: Alex Killorn has tallied a point in each of his first four games to open March, accumulating two goals and two assists.
Analysis: Aside from a minor dry spell in December, Alex Killorn has been a rather consistent producer all season. He doesn't receive the buzz of some of the Bolts' other forwards, but with 14 goals, 35 points, and a plus-8 rating over 59 games, Killorn has returned solid value in mid-sized and deeper formats. Expect more of the same over the season's final four weeks.

Bolts' Killorn Picks Up Another Assist

News: Alex Killorn collected an assist in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: Alex Killorn is on pace for 42 points, one more than he recorded last season. The Lightning currently have the most team goals (210) in the NHL, and it's effectively taking some pressure off Killorn in his third season. Keep an eye on him in deeper formats.

Bolts' Killorn Tallies Assist Wednesday

News: Alex Killorn tallied an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.
Analysis: The 25-year-old is starting to heat up again, as he's compiled a goal and two assists over his past four games. Alex Killorn was slotted next to Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan on the top line during Wednesday's contest, but on a deep Tampa Bay squad, it doesn't matter all that much where he slots in. So long as he holds down a top-nine role, Killorn should be able to chug along at a half-point-per-game pace while supplying a useful plus/minus rating.

Tampa's Killorn: Point Streak At Three Games

News: Alex Killorn extended his point streak to three games and four assists after picking up a helper in Tuesday's OT loss to St. Louis.
Analysis: He has delivered nine points, including seven assists, in his last 10 games. Check your wire -- he might just be available.

Bolts' Killorn Helps Out On Two In Win

News: Alex Killorn contributed two assists in Thursday's win over the Red Wings.
Analysis: It's the second multi-point effort in three games for Alex Killorn, who has accumulated three goals and six assists in January. If he can maintain his current scoring rate, he'll come close to matching the 41 points he submitted for the Bolts last season.

Bolts' Killorn Nets Two Goals Including Winner

News: Alex Killorn scored two goals, including the game winner, in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Vancouver. The winner was a beautiful blocker side snipe that went top shelf over Ryan Miller's shoulder.
Analysis: He has three points in his last two games and seven points (three goals, four assists) in his last nine games. He's been extremely consistent in his production across three seasons, so don't expect anything more than about a point every two games unless his role changes. And that's not likely to happen any time soon.

Bolts' Killorn Playing Well In January

News: Alex Killorn assisted on Steven Stamkos' game-winning goal Friday against the Sabres.
Analysis: Alex Killorn has opened January with a goal, two assists and eight shots on goal over four games. He's unlikely to average much more than a half-point per game the rest of the way, but even that level of production carries value in deeper formats.

Bolts' Killorn Active In Victory

News: Alex Killorn recorded five shots, four PIM and found the back of the net for the decisive tally in Saturday's win over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: The third-period tally halted a 12-game goal drought for Alex Killorn, who stealthily used the Canes' Tim Gleason as a shield before getting a wrister past netminder Cam Ward. Three of Killorn's eight goals on the season have been game-winners, putting him in a tie with Ryan Callahan for the team lead in that regard.

Bolts' Killorn: Improving On Last Year

News: Alex Killorn's assist Thursday gives him 14 points in 22 games.
Analysis: He's a solid hockey citizen who can play on just about on every line -- he's just that responsible. So that means he gets slotted into a more defensive role than his fantasy owners would like. Still, his point-per-game pace is up from last season, so he's finding a way. This guy has a solid fantasy future as a complementary scorer. See where that fits in your fantasy format.

Bolts' Killorn On Seven-Game Streak

News: Alex Killorn potted a goal and added an assist in Saturday's win over the Senators. His point streak now stands at seven games and eight points, including five goals.
Analysis: "He's playing the game fast," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. "When he gets his nose dirty and moving his feet, he was really good." It's a career streak for him -- take advantage. He's rolling on the Bolts' top line and is really clicking with Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan.
