Flyers' Hartnell Continues Point Streak

News: Scott Hartnell notched an assist Monday in a 3-2 loss against the Kings -- his fourth straight game with a point.
Analysis: It's just a four-game streak, but it's encouraging that Scott Hartnell's gritty play wasn't stifled by the Kings, who dominated most of the game. He's come on strong since the new year, with 28 points in 31 games.

Flyers’ Hartnell Gets Goal, Assist In Win

News: Scott Hartnell collected a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-1 dispatching of the Blues.
Analysis: He's got five points over his last three games, and seems locked in with his linemates. Scott Hartnell's stepped-up game has no doubt helped the Flyers in their current hot streak.

Hartnell Accounts For Flyers' Regulation Offense

News: Scott Hartnell near-singlehandedly brought the Flyers back from a 2-0 deficit in the first period Tuesday against Chicago, scoring a pair of goals in what turned out to be a 3-2 overtime win.

Flyers' Hartnell Pots Game-Winner Against Pens

News: Scott Hartnell netted the game-winning goal in Saturday's win over Pittsburgh. It was his first tally since Feb.8.
Analysis: It was a vintage goal from Scott Hartnell, who took a pass from Claude Giroux at the top of the circle before ripping a shot past Marc-Andre Fleury. Hartnell now has five points in his last eight games, giving him 16 goals and 25 assists in 62 games on the year. He is on pace for 51 points, which would be the third-highest point total of his 13-season NHL career.

Flyers' Hartnell Pointless In Loss

News: Scott Hartnell was unable to collect any points in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Devils.
Analysis: Though he's scattered a few assists over the last few games, Scott Hartnell hasn't found the back of the net since February 8. The playoff-hungry Flyers -- and fantasy owners alike -- will need Hartnell to convert some goals. He faces a tough goalie on Saturday when the Flyers take on the Penguins. He was held pointless in his first game against Pittsburgh this season.

Flyers' Hartnell Pots Game-Winner Saturday

News: Scott Hartnell potted what proved to be the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory over the Flames.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell's third-period tally was an important insurance goal for the Flyers, as the Flames cut the deficit to one with a score of their own at the two-minute mark. The forward has four points in his last four games.

Flyers' Hartnell: Pair Of Helpers In Win

News: Scott Hartnell collected two assists Monday in a 5-2 win over San Jose.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell has six points in his last five games. While it'd be a stretch to say he's locked in for good, the numbers rarely lie. Find a spot for him in Thursday's lineup -- he's got the Avalanche at home.

Flyers' Hartnell Assists In Win

News: Scott Hartnell assisted on the game-sealing power-play goal in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Kings.
Analysis: This was a solid rebound effort by Scott Hartnell, who was shut down by Anaheim on Thursday, despite tallying a season-high 23 minutes of ice time. The Flyers barely mustered any offense during this game -- they had only 13 shots -- making Hartnell's clutch assist even more impressive. He's now got 34 points through 52 games, a pace not far from his career year in 2011-2012. He faces some tough defenses in upcoming games with San Jose and Colorado, but his play this year qualifies him as a solid start in most leagues.

Flyers' Hartnell Kicks Out Three Points

News: Scott Hartnell opened Tuesday's scoring with a power-play goal, then added another goal and an assist in a 5-0 romp over Detroit.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell had been iffy for this game with a minor foot injury, but after test results came back clean, he returned to the ice with a vengeance. Though Hartnell had been held off the scoresheet for the prior two games, he'd managed to rack up 11 PIM in that span. In his last nine contests, he has 10 points (four of them goals), 13 PIM and a plus-3 rating.

Flyers' Hartnell Cleared To Play Tuesday

News: Scott Hartnell will be cleared to play Tuesday after a CT scan Monday showed no damage to his foot, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: The scans were just a precautionary measure for Scott Hartnell, who seems to just be dealing with some painful bruising on his foot/ankle area. While he could see his practice time monitored until the pain dissipates a bit, it doesn't look like the injury will prevent him from missing any game action.

Flyers' Hartnell Nursing Foot Injury

News: Scott Hartnell was spotted in a walking boot Sunday morning and will undergo tests Monday on his left foot, CSNPhilly.com's Tom Dougherty reports.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell said he sustained the injury when he blocked a shot with the foot in a game a few weeks back, with the walking boot just a precautionary measure. The forward said that while he's been able to play the past three games, he's still experiencing some pain. Hartnell indicated he'd probably continue to play Tuesday vs. the Red Wings if the exam on his foot Monday comes back negative.

Flyers' Hartnell Will Play Thursday

News: Scott Hartnell (ankle) will be back in the lineup Thursday vs. the Predators, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell had been dealing with a bum ankle the last couple of days after blocking a shot in Tuesday vs. Buffalo. He still managed to stay in the game Tuesday and finish with a goal and two assists, so the injury apparently wasn't too problematic. Look for him to receive his normal usage Thursday.

News: Scott Hartnell is listed as day-to-day with an ankle injury, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Hartnell Powers Flyers To Win

News: Scott Hartnell scored a goal and dished a pair of assists in Tuesday's win over Buffalo.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell's first assist came on Jakub Voaracek's second-period power-play goal, and Hartnell later scored a go-ahead power-play goal late in the third. Since his awful start to the year, Hartsy's been clipping away quite nicely, having tallied 13 of his 26 points over the last 12 games.

Flyers' Hartnell Extends Streak With Goal In Win

News: Scott Hartnell recorded a goal and a blocked shot in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Devils.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell's third period goal tied the game against a New Jersey team that was 10-0-1 when leading after two periods. The goal extends his point streak to a career-high eight games, during which he's posted four goals and five assists. He seems locked in and should warrant serious lineup consideration as the Flyers face the Canadiens on Wednesday.

Hartnell's Goal Helps Flyers Smother Flames

News: Scott Hartnell scored and finished the night plus-3 in Thursday's 4-1 win.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell has posted points in the last five contests, an encouraging sign for a player who needs a hot streak. He faces a much stingier Colorado team on Thursday. If he can find the net again, he could very well be heating up.

Hartnell's PPG Helps Flyers Edge Oilers

News: Scott Hartnell scored his seventh goal of the 2013-14 campaign in Saturday night's win over Edmonton. He also collected an assist to bring his season mark to 7-10-17 in 34 games. Both points came on Philadelphia power plays.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell is on a tier below Philadelphia's elite scorers, but in reasonably deep fantasy leagues, he offers enough value to be worth a look.

Flyers' Hartnell Collects Assist In Win

News: Scott Hartnell collected his ninth assist Monday in the Flyers' 4-1 win over the Wild.
Analysis: The assist marked Scott Hartnell's 500th point in the NHL. While he's certainly not having the season he and fantasy owners had hoped for, he has registered a point in three of his last four games. With the Flyers' offense heating up, he's worth monitoring as they face two porous defenses (Calgary, Edmonton) in their next three games.

Hartnell Totals Three Points In Flyers' Win

News: Scott Hartnell scored a goal and assisted on two others in Wednesday's victory over the Red Wings.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell took some heat for his slow start to the season that was made further difficult by a lower-body injury that resulted in an IR stint, but he's finally starting to discover his scoring touch. The three points were his most in a game this season, and he'll look to carry the momentum forward when the Flyers take on the Stars in their next game Saturday.

Hartnell Scores In Flyers' Win

News: Scott Hartnell snagged his fifth goal of the season in Friday's win over Winnipeg, giving him three points in the last five games.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell, like the rest of his Philadelphia teammates, has picked up the pace and could be paying dividends for owners who grabbed him cheaply a few weeks ago. Hartnell can be an effective offensive player and has potentially even more value in leagues which reward penalty minutes.

Hartnell Scores In Flyers' Loss

News: Scott Hartnell scored Friday on a nifty wrap-around goal in the Flyers' 3-2 shootout loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell, who has been key to the Flyers' recent offensive resurgence, also tallied an assist on a power-play goal. He now has four points in his last four games, a promising sign for fantasy owners who endured his early-season woes.

Flyers' Hartnell Scores Goal In Victory

News: Scott Hartnell scored his second goal of the season in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.
Analysis: It's not quite a hot streak, but with two goals in three games, Scott Hartnell finally seems to have some momentum after a miserable start to the season. Linemate Claude Giroux also notched his first goal of the season in the win in what may have been the team's most impressive offensive performance to date. Though the goals were much-needed for both Hartnell and Giroux, it should be somewhat tempered by the fact that it came against the Oilers, who entered Saturday allowing the most goals per game in the NHL.

Flyers' Hartnell Finally Scores First Goal

News: Scott Hartnell picked up his first goal of the year Tuesday, tallying the Flyers' lone goal on a third-period power play in an overtime loss to Carolina.
Analysis: Hartsy had gone nine games without a point, but he finally broke through in this one. It's been a sudden drop-off for the veteran, who's collected just 12 points in his last 42 games in the aftermath of his career-high 37-goal season.
