Rangers' Moore Helps On Two

News: Dominic Moore dished out a pair of helpers in Monday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
Analysis: Dominic Moore hadn't factored on to the scoresheet for five consecutive games entering Monday, but snapped that streak with his second two-point effort of the season. He provides valuable minutes for his club, but his production doesn't translate for fantasy purposes.

Rangers' Moore Notches First Of Season

News: Dominic Moore scored his first goal of the season in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Canadiens.
Analysis: Dominic Moore now has six points on the season through 20 games. Though he's on pace to top his 18 point total from a year ago, Moore will likely end up only in the 25-30 point range and does not hold much fantasy value in most leagues.

Rangers' D. Moore To Return To Checking Line

News: Dominic Moore has three points (all assists) in 12 games played this season.
Analysis: Despite seeing more than his customary fourth line minutes, Dominic Moore has contributed his customary minimal fantasy impact. With that said, Derek Stepan (leg) is widely expected to return to action on Saturday against the Maple Leafs, so you can expect Moore to return to his fourth line checking duties.

Rangers Re-Sign Moore

News: Dominic Moore signed a two-year, $3 million deal with the Rangers on Tuesday.
Analysis: Dominic Moore was a key piece of the Rangers run to the Stanley Cup finals this past season, picking up three goals and five assists in 25 playoff games while providing a steady presence in the face-off circle and on the penalty kill. Moore also won the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.

Rangers' Moore Hopes To Re-Sign

News: Dominic Moore is hopeful he'll be able to re-sign with the Rangers, The Record's Andrew Gross reports.
Analysis: Dominic Moore logged 18 points over the regular season, and added three goals and five assists over the Rangers' playoff run. He's a fourth-liner in New York, and although his fantasy value could improve if he heads somewhere else and moves up on the depth chart, it sounds as though he's leaning toward helping the Rangers with their shot at redemption next season.

Rangers D. Moore Gets More Playing Time

News: Dominic Moore registered two penalty minutes and one hit in 17:47 of ice time during a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles in Wednesday's Game 4.
Analysis: Dominic Moore was second only to Mats Zuccarello among Ranger forwards in ice time, seeing a large increase from his usual fourth-line minutes. Although he had little statistical impact and his face-off percentage was down, there's a strong chance Moore continues to see good time in Game 5. The 33-year-old has only eight points (including two game-winning goals) in 24 postseason games, but has been strong on the forecheck, and is a major defensive and penalty-killing asset.

Rangers' Moore Pots Series Winner

News: Dominic Moore scored the only goal of Thursday's Game 6 against Montreal, powering the Rangers to the Stanley Cup finals.
Analysis: While New York dominated for most of this game, no one but Dominic Moore was able to sneak a puck past Dustin Tokarski. He was left wide open in the slot for a Brian Boyle pass right out in front, and he buried it for his third goal of the playoffs -- and his second game-winner.

D. Moore Plays on First Line in Rangers' Win

News: Dominic Moore logged four penalty minutes in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over Montreal.
Analysis: In large part thanks to the void left by injured centerman Derek Stepan (jaw), Dominic Moore started the game on the team's first line with Rick Nash and Chris Kreider. The veteran center logged 17-plus minutes and won over 75-percent of his face-offs. Although his fantasy statistics are merely sporadic and he will end up on New York's fourth line once Derek Stepan returns to the lineup, his diverse contributions to the team are arguably priceless.

Rangers' D. Moore Contributing Again

News: Dominic Moore collected two assists in Saturday's 7-2 demolishing of Montreal in Game 1.
Analysis: After enduring an eight game point-scoring drought that included a minus-5 rating, the fourth line center has three points in his last two games, and six through 15 post season games.

Rangers' Moore Leads Charge In Win

News: Dominic Moore snagged a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Philadelphia in Game 5 on Sunday.
Analysis: While the goal came at a crucial point late in the second period and helped the team go to the final period with a two-goal lead, it wasn't until a late third period push by the Flyers that triggered the game-winning goal. After being shutout in each of the first two games of the series, the fourth-line veteran is now plus-2 with two goals and an assist in his last two games.

Rangers' Moore Quiet Lately

News: Dominic Moore is minus-1 during his current four-game scoreless drought.
Analysis: No, it's not surprising to see a fourth-line center go four games without registering a point, but the veteran center's game log suggests that may come to an end in Tuesday's tilt with Carolina. Since mid-December, Dominic Moore has consistently found the scorer's sheet at least once every four to five games. While that won't help out fantasy owners, it could certainly bode well for a team trying to lock up home-ice advantage in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Two-Point Night For Rangers' Moore

News: Dominic Moore had a goal and assist -- both shorthanded -- in Wednesday's overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.
Analysis: Dominic Moore's goal was especially sublime, as he took a feed from Derek Stepan on a two-on-one and deposited the puck perfectly over Jonathan Bernier's right shoulder and beneath the crossbar. The two points boosted Moore's season total to 14 over 54 games.

Rangers' D. Moore To Play Against Boston

News: Dominic Moore will dress in Sunday's tilt against Boston, reports Andrew Gross of The Bergen Record.
Analysis: With the return of Derek Dorsett to the team's lineup on Saturday, Dominic Moore was the odd man out. Apparently head coach Alain Vigneault is going to ease Dorsett back into the regular lineup. Whether or not Moore continues to be the odd man out for Dorsett in future games remains to be seen.

Rangers' Moore Producing On Fourth Line

News: Dominic Moore will look to break a three game point-scoring drought on Thursday against the Blackhawks.
Analysis: Dominic Moore has been surprisingly productive in his homecoming season with New York, especially in the month of January when he posted three goals and five assists in 15 games.

Rangers' D. Moore Difference-Maker In Outdoor Win

News: Dominic Moore collected a goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-3 win over New Jersey at Yankee Stadium.
Analysis: Dominic Moore, whose assist helped ignite the team to six unanswered goals, has three points in his last four games. While the point marks Moore's most productive (four points) month since his return to New York, his checking-line minutes leave him on the outside of fantasy relevance looking in.

D. Moore Nets Pair Of Goals In Rangers' Win

News: Dominic Moore had a pair of unassisted goals in Saturday's 7-1 rout of Toronto.
Analysis: Dominic Moore was just 3-of-9 on faceoffs while logging five shots on goal in just over 12 minutes of ice time. While it's possible the effort could get Moore a line promotion in their next tilt, it's not likely and we recommend you remain just an observer. The veteran center now has three goals and three assists in 35 games played.

Rangers' Moore Scores Rare Goal

News: Dominic Moore scored his first goal -- and just his second point -- of the season in Thursday's loss to the Jackets.
Analysis: It was his first NHL tally in nearly two full years, dating back to Jan. 17, 2012. Impressively, Dominic Moore also won all seven of his face-offs. He's of very limited utility in fantasy, however, unless your league counts penalty killing somehow.

Rangers' Moore Confirmed To Play Saturday

News: The Rangers confirmed Dominic Moore (oblique) would return to the lineup Saturday vs. the Canadiens, Jim Cerny of NHL.com reports.
Analysis: Dominic Moore last played Oct. 29 before a mild oblique strain relegated him to the press box for the last handful of games. The 33-year-old hasn't contributed much offensively for the Rangers after sitting out the abbreviated 2012-13 campaign, totaling just one point in 11 games on the season.

Rangers' Moore Expected Back Saturday

News: Dominic Moore (oblique) is expected to return Saturday against the Canadiens, Newsday's Steve Zipay reports.
Analysis: Coach Alain Vigneault suggested as much earlier in the week, but all signs point to Dominic Moore returning Saturday against Montreal. The Rangers will discuss a roster move Friday.

Rangers' Moore Expected Back Saturday

News: Dominic Moore (oblique) skated with the team again at Monday's practice, reports Andrew Gross of The Record.
Analysis: According to Gross, head coach Alain Vigneault expects Dominic Moore to be back in the lineup on Saturday against the Canadiens. While this sounds like a conservative quote, only owners in deep leagues need to worry about the bottom-six center at this point.

Rangers' Moore Skates Sunday

News: Dominic Moore (oblique) skated with the team Sunday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Dominic Moore has been out of action for over a week, but appears close to a return. He could return as soon as Tuesday against the Devils.

Rangers' Moore Out 7-10 Days

News: Dominic Moore (oblique) is expected to miss another 7-10 days, Andrew Gross of the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Dominic Moore was able to skate Wednesday morning, but it looks like he suffered a setback at some point in his recovery, and will be out at least another week. We'll continue to monitor his situation as he works toward a return.

Rangers' Moore Skates

News: Dominic Moore (oblique) skated on his own Wednesday before the team's morning skate, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Dominic Moore was expected to miss 7-10 days after straining his oblique against the Islanders, and Wednesday marked day eight of his recovery. It seems unlikely that he'll be able to suit up for Wednesday's game against the Penguins, but the Rangers play again Thursday against the Blue Jackets, so he could be available then.

Rangers' Moore Out 7-10 Days With Strained Oblique

News: Dominic Moore will miss 7-10 days with a strained oblique, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Coach Alain Vigneault announced Thursday that it was an oblique strain which forced Dominic Moore from Tuesday's contest, and will in fact sideline him for at least a week. The Rangers may be forced to add a center from the AHL, as they play five games in the next eight days.

Rangers' Moore Misses Morning Skate

News: Dominic Moore (upper body) did not take part in Thursday's morning skate.
Analysis: This doesn't bode well for Dominic Moore's chances of suiting up for Thursday's game against Buffalo, but there hasn't been any official announcement regarding his availability. Moore went down early in Tuesday's game with the upper-body injury.
