Coyotes' Domi Not Heading to AHL

News: Despite his OHL season coming to an end Tuesday, Max Domi, the Coyotes' top prospect, won't be reassigned to AHL Portland, reports AZ Central's Sarah McLellan.
Analysis: Several other Coyotes prospects were sent to the AHL club to finish the season, but General Manager Don Maloney said the club felt Max Domi could use rest and rehab. Domi missed a playoff game after a check to the head that earned his opponent an eight game suspension. He will compete for a spot on the Coyotes' roster in 2015-16.

Yotes Prospect Domi Suffers Head Injury

News: Max Domi was unable to play in Game 2 on of the OHL Western Conference semi-final series on Friday after he was hit in the head by Erie Otters' tough guy Kurtis MacDermid in Game 1 on Thursday night. MacDermid received an eight-game suspension.
Analysis: At first, the London Knights thought he was OK to go back into the game Thursday on the power play and he did, but he didn't seem himself. Then he was unable to go Friday. The Knights are "optimistic" he'll be able to play Sunday, says Ryan Pyette of the London Free Press, but a decision may not be made until game time.

Coyotes' Domi Wraps Strong Junior Season

News: Max Domi finished the OHL season with 32 goals and 102 points in 57 games - good for ninth in league scoring. He was plus-24 and had 66 PIM.
Analysis: Max Domi, the Coyotes' top prospect, was sent back to the OHL to continue his development and delivered his best season as a scorer. He should be a fixture in Arizona for many years starting next season. He has high-end skill and just enough grit (inherited from his dad) that he should be successful from the get-go in the NHL.

Domi Has Two Assists In Tuesday's OHL Action

News: Max Domi picked up a pair of assists in London's (OHL) 4-3 shootout win over Kitchener on Tuesday.
Analysis: Max Domi has made a complete mockery of the OHL this season with 88 points in just 47 games. By comparison, he had 93 points in 61 games last year. Domi has evolved into one of the very best prospects in the entire league. Expect to see him right near the top of the list when our top 100 prospects list is updated next week.

Coyotes' Domi Could Make Debut This Season

News: Max Domi could make his NHL debut this season, according to GM Don Maloney, reports Sportsnet's Jeff Simmons.
Analysis: Max Domi has had an outstanding season with OHL London where he has registered 66 points in 35 games - good for 11th in league scoring. He was also named Top Forward at the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championship as he helped Canada win the gold medal. Domi is a must add in all dynasty leagues, but if he makes his debut this season expectations may need to be tempered, as it could coincide with the Coyotes moving some of their veteran players limiting Domi's upside.

Coyotes' Domi Starts Strong In Junior

News: Max Domi, Arizona's top prospect, is off to a strong start for OHL London with 23 points and 18 PIM in 12 games. He had a five point night in Friday's contest.
Analysis: Max Domi, who is serving as London's captain, dominated this level last year, but the Coyotes felt he needed another season of junior before competing at the NHL level. He currently sits sixth in league scoring and will look to join this year's Team Canada roster at the World Junior Championship. He should make his NHL debut in 2015.

Coyotes Return Domi To Juniors

News: Max Domi was assigned to OHL London on Thursday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Analysis: Though it was thought Max Domi would get a nine-day tryout with the Coyotes to start the season before the club determined whether or not to keep him at the NHL level for the full season, Domi will instead return to the junior level to hone his development. However, after an impressive preseason and a 93-point showing with London a season earlier, it's clear Domi is nearly ready for a full-time appointment to the big club. If the Coyotes determine they're in need for an infusion of scoring at some point this season, expect the 19-year-old to be at the top of their list of potential call-ups.

Coyotes' Domi Having Strong Camp

News: Max Domi, the Coyotes' top prospect, has registered four assists in three preseason games as he makes a case to stick with the club.
Analysis: Max Domi, coming off a stellar campaign with London of the OHL, is seeing regular shifts and plenty of power play time (more than 4:00 minutes per game) in the preseason. If coach Dave Tippett uses him that way in the regular season, Domi's skill level should net fantasy owners a nice return.

Domi Could Make Big Contribution

News: Max Domi, who had a brilliant 93 point campaign for London in the OHL in 2013, is being looked to crack the Coyotes' lineup and add scoring, according to Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic.
Analysis: Max Domi's offensive ability is not in question, but coach Dave Tippett will need to be assured that he can handle his defensive duties in order for Domi to get the kind of ice time he needs to reach his potential.
