Preds' Jones Assists In Win Over Sabres

News: Seth Jones earned a power-play assist in Sunday's win over Buffalo. It was his 22nd point of the season, just three shy of the career-high 25 he recorded last year.
Analysis: After posting just eight points in 37 games prior to Jan. 1, Seth Jones has been much more consistent in recent weeks, with 14 points in his last 24 games. He's finally starting to show the kind of production that normally accompanies a top-five draft pick, so keep him rolling.

Preds' Jones Extends Streak With Goal

News: Seth Jones potted a power-play goal in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: That's four straight with a point for Seth Jones, who is now up to 19 on the season. The 20-year-old is rounding into form now, and with 29 contests left, he should easily surpass last season's total of 25 points.

Point Streak Runs To Three For Preds' Jones

News: Seth Jones contributed an assist in 22:38 of ice time Saturday against the Rangers.
Analysis: With his ice time on the rise since Ryan Ellis (lower body) landed on injured reserve, Seth Jones is beginning to look the part of a future stud on the blue line. He's now provided a goal or assist in three consecutive games, and has two goals and six assists over his last 11 contests. Go snap him up off the waiver wire.

Preds' Jones Continues To Excel

News: Seth Jones set up Colin Wilson's second-period power-play goal in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Avalanche.
Analysis: Since Ryan Ellis went down with a lower-body injury earlier in January, Seth Jones has thrived while taking on an expanded role defensively for the Predators. The 20-year-old has enjoyed the most productive stretch of his brief career, tallying an assist in four of his last five games. Jones' talent has always been matched by few, and now that he's finally starting to make good on it, he's a worthy roster addition for those looking for blue line help.

Preds' Jones Has Strong Outings Vs. Capitals

News: Seth Jones notched his third goal of the season, had an assist, and was a plus-3 in Friday's win over the Capitals.
Analysis: An all-around solid effort from the 20-year-old, who now has 13 points in 43 games on the season. While he's been a letdown fantasy-wise this season, Seth Jones is putting together a decent campaign for Nashville, sitting 15th among all NHL defenseman with a plus-12 rating. Jones is picking things up, though. After a rough stretch in mid-November to mid-December with only three points in 18 games, Jones now has points in back-to-back games and has three goals and seven points in his last 12 games. Considering he could hit 30 points and is averaging 18:02 of ice time with the top team in the NHL, the youngster is worth looking at in some deeper leagues.

Preds' Jones Nets First PP Goal

News: Seth Jones scored his first power-play goal of the season in Sunday's loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: It was just Seth Jones' second goal of the season overall in what has been a disappointing sophomore campaign to date. While he does have points in two straight and sits on a swell plus-8 rating for the season, those that took a flier on his upside were hoping for more at this point than his 10 points in 38 games.

Preds' Jones Nets First Of Season

News: Seth Jones scored his first goal of the season in Monday's 5-1 win over the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: Seth Jones had been struggling mightily offensively coming into the contest, with just one point in his previous 13 games. With his first tally of the season the 20-year-old is still only at seven points as his offensive numbers have dipped in his sophomore season.

Preds' Jones Stalling Offensively

News: Seth Jones failed to crack the scoresheet during Saturday's 6-5 OT win over Minnesota, marking the 12th time in the past 13 games he has been held without a point. He now has just six points - all assists - in 31 games so far this season.
Analysis: After posting a respectable 25 points in 77 games as a rookie last year, Seth Jones is not even on pace to crack the 20-point mark this season. The Preds are clearly being patient with their fourth overall pick from the 2013 draft, however fantasy owners need not be as forgiving. Feel free to bench him in favour of a more productive blue line option - or drop him outright if the right opportunity presents itself.

Preds' Jones Gets Assist In Win

News: Seth Jones gathered an assist in his 19:01 of ice time in Tuesday's 9-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
Analysis: Though it was nice for Seth Jones to pick up the point, his involvement offensively was still minimal on a night in which the Predators imposed their will on the Leafs defense. The young blueliner has faced a steep learning curve in his adjustment to the NHL, and while Jones has been fortunate to avoid the huge plus/minus drain he noticed as a rookie, fantasy owners expected more than the zero goals and five assists in 18 games that he's provided so far in 2014-15.

Preds' Jones Adds Assist

News: Seth Jones had an assist in 17:31 worth of ice time in a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks on Thursday.
Analysis: Seth Jones got off to a slow start offensively, but he's now tallied a point in three of the team's last four contests. At just 20 years old, he still has plenty of time to develop and he could become one of the top defensemen in the league, even if the offensive numbers aren't there just yet.

Preds' Jones Struggling Offensively

News: Seth Jones has just a single assist in five games so far this season.
Analysis: Seth Jones has been skating primarily on the Preds' second defensive pairing with Anton Volchenkov, and is currently seeing more than a minute less in ice time (18:27) than he did last year (19:37). The learning curve to becoming an elite offensive defenseman in the NHL is proving to be a steep one for Jones, but keep in mind that he's only 20 years old and still developing. Do not fret, keeper- and dynasty-league owners -- your patience will be rewarded with this future blue-line stud.

Preds' Jones Playing Heavy Minutes In Preseason

News: Seth Jones played 19:34 during Saturday's 3-2 preseason loss to Columbus, including 4:50 on the power play. He did not factor into the scoring but logged two shots on goal and had another three shots blocked.
Analysis: Seth Jones, the Preds' highly-anticipated first-round draft pick in the 2013, proceeded to play in all but five of the Preds' regular-season games last year. He recorded 25 points - not bad for a rookie - but this was offset by a minus-23 rating, good for second-worst on the team. This season, Jones will reprise his top-four role on the Preds' blue line and should benefit from a stronger supporting cast after the team went out and acquired Mike Ribeiro, Derek Roy and Olli Jokinen in the offseason. Overall, Jones is a stud defenseman in the making but don't expect a huge spike in his offensive totals just yet.
