Flyers' Morin (Jaw) Will Return Nov. 22

News: Samuel Morin (jaw) will return to play for his junior team Nov. 22, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: The 19-year-old suffered a broken jaw in his fifth game of the season, but he'll return to action in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League right in line with his initial four- to five-week estimated recovery timetable. Samuel Morin was the 11th overall pick in last year's entry draft.

Flyers Reassign Prospect Morin To Juniors

News: Samuel Morin was reassigned to his junior team Friday, Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Analysis: Samuel Morin, 19, was a standout for the Flyers in camp, leading to speculation that the organization was considering trading either Luke Schenn or Nick Grossmann in order to make room for the 2013 first-round selection, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports. GM Ron Hextall quickly downplayed those trade rumors, and as such, Morin will head back to the QMJHL's Rimouski for further development. But make no mistake: Morin certainly elevated his stock with his performance in camp, and undoubtedly warrants interest in dynasty formats.

Flyers' Morin Survives Latest Roster-Trimming

News: The 19-year-old Samuel Morin is still on the NHL club as they prepare for their final preseason game, reports Dave Isaac of The Courier-Post.
Analysis: Samuel Morin has played well this preseason, but the move is still surprising given Flyers' General Manager Ron Hextall's commitment to developing prospects. However, because Morin still isn't 20, the Flyers can't send him to the AHL -- he'd go straight back to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He's worth a sniff in deeper leagues, though it's still unclear where he would fit in the defensive pairings.

Flyers' Morin Takes Bad Penalty In Loss

News: Samuel Morin allowed his temper to get the best of him, cross-checking Rangers' winger Mats Zuccarello after Zuccarello upended Morin.
Analysis: According to Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia, Flyers' coaches had already talked to the 19-year-old Samuel Morin about controlling his emotions. For Panaccio, this is a clear signal the young defenseman isn't ready for the big leagues. Draft accordingly.

Flyers' Morin Impresses In Rookies' Win

News: Samuel Morin collected several hits and a fight, delivering "overall impressive play," as the Flyers' rookies beat up on the Capitals' rookies in a scrimmage Tuesday, reports Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia.
Analysis: Given Kimmo Timonen's recent self-proclaimed "really slim" chances of playing this year, there could be an opportunity for the 6-foot-7 Samuel Morin to see regular time in the big leagues. Regardless, he's worth stashing in dynasty leagues.
