Flames' Poirier Returns To AHL Action

News: Emile Poirier is fully recovered from shoulder surgery and had a pair of goals in his season debut with AHL Adirondack, the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: Emile Poirier is one of the brightest prospects in the Calgary organization and might have received a call-up already if he was healthy. The winger has loads of talent and should get a shot in the NHL at some point this season.

Flames Assign Poirier To Adirondack

News: Emile Poirier was assigned to AHL Adirondack on Monday, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: One of the Flames' better prospects, Emile Poirier is set to begin his first full season as a pro, after a successful junior career for Gatineau of the QMJHL. The 19-year-old is probably another year or two away from contributing with the Flames on a regular basis.
