Isles' Pulock Could Play In Game 6

News: Ryan Pulock could be in the lineup for Game 6 versus the Capitals, reports Newsday.
Analysis: Islanders defensemen are dropping like flies, as they may have lost Calvin de Haan (undisclosed) to an injury in Game 5. Ryan Pulock would seem to be next in line for the Islanders, and he could make his playoff debut in an elimination game Saturday. No pressure.

Isles' Pulock To Warm Up, But Not Likely To Play

News: Ryan Pulock will participate in warmups with the Islanders on Thursday, but isn't expected to play in Game 5 against the Capitals, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
Analysis: Ryan Pulock was one of several players the Islanders recalled from Bridgeport after the AHL club concluded its season over the previous weekend. While the majority of those call-ups won't merit lineup consideration, as a well-regarded blue-line prospect, Pulock might represent the lone exception. With Lubomir Visnovsky unavailable for Game 5, coach Jack Capuano will have both Pulock and Griffin Reinhart participate in warmups, but since Pulock was on the ice with the extras following morning skate, it appears likely that Reinhart will draw in on the Isles' third pairing. However, if Reinhart struggles Thursday and Visnovsky is also ruled out for Game 6, it wouldn't be surprising to see the youthful Pulock enter the lineup at that time.

Isles' Pulock Named To AHL All-Rookie Team

News: Ryan Pulock was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team for the 2014-15 season, according to the Islanders web site.
Analysis: Ryan Pulock has notched 17 goals and 26 points in 48 games this season for Bridgeport including 13 on the power play. The former first-round pick of the Islanders (2013) will be a favorite to be on the Islanders' blue line when they move to Brooklyn next season.

Isles' Pulock Continues To Dominate AHL

News: Ryan Pulock registered a goal and an assist in Bridgeport's (AHL) 3-2 win over Syracuse on Saturday.
Analysis: Ryan Pulock now has a ridiculous 16 goals in 47 games this season. He's missed a good chunk of time with various injuries, but the Islanders have to be thrilled with how his overall game has developed this year. He'd almost certainly be a better option for the Isles than Brian Strait or Thomas Hickey on a nightly basis moving forward, but Pulock isn't going to get his shot until next season.

Isles' Pulock Sent Back To AHL Bridgeport

News: Ryan Pulock was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Saturday, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
Analysis: Ryan Pulock was brought up Friday but his NHL debut will have to wait, with Lubomir Visnovsky (upper body) seemingly ready to return Tuesday. One of the team's top prospects, Pulock has recorded eight goals and five assists in 20 games with Bridgeport so far this season.

Isles Recall Prospect Pulock

News: Ryan Pulock was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on Friday, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
Analysis: The Islanders insinuated Friday that Travis Hamonic (upper body) and Johnny Boychuk (upper body) would both miss a decent amount of time due to injury, so Ryan Pulock will receive his first crack at proving himself in the NHL. One of the team's top prospects, Pulock delivered eight goals and 13 points over 20 games with Bridgeport. He could develop into a high-scoring blueliner over time, but optimism should be tempered during his first taste of action with the parent club.

Isles' Pulock Dominating For AHL Bridgeport

News: Ryan Pulock has six goals and 10 points in his first 15 games for AHL Bridgeport.
Analysis: Ryan Pulock has made quite an early statement in his first professional season. He was terrific in the preseason for the Isles and nearly made the team out of training camp. Known for his booming shot, Pulock has a ton of offensive ability and projects to be quite a fantasy asset down the line. In an ideal world, Pulock would spend this entire season in the AHL working on his defensive game, but the Isles may have need of his services in the coming months.

Isles Send Pulock To Minors

News: Ryan Pulock was assigned to AHL Bridgeport on Tuesday, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
Analysis: It appears the final spot on defense came down to Ryan Pulock and fellow young blue line prospect Griffin Reinhart, with the latter ending up emerging as the victor in the job battle. The 20-year-old Pulock possesses a booming shot and scored at nearly a point-per-game clip for his junior club last season. He'll likely spend the entire year acclimating himself to the pro game at Bridgeport, with an extended opportunity with the Islanders unlikely to develop until 2015-16.

Isles' Pulock Skating Again

News: Ryan Pulock (lower body) has begun skating again, according to Newsday.
Analysis: Ryan Pulock might have had a chance to begin the season with the Islanders until the injury, and if that wasn't enough, the addition of Nick Leddy and Johnny Boychuk on Saturday pretty much seals the deal. Pulock is still one of the Islanders' top defensive prospects, but his NHL debut may now be in 2015.

Isles' Pulock Dealing With Upper Body Injury

News: Ryan Pulock is dealing with an upper body injury, according to Newsday's Arthur Staple.
Analysis: This is pretty bad timing for Ryan Pulock and the Islanders as it looked like he had a chance to break camp with the team but this injury may have quashed those plans.

Rookie Pulock Could Break Camp With Islanders

News: Ryan Pulock could break camp with the Islanders, Newsday reports.
Analysis: It's no secret that the weakest part of the Islanders is the defense, so it's not a shock that a rookie could start for the Isles, but it was originally thought that if any first-year player got the call, it would be Griffin Reinhart. Ryan Pulock's hard shot from the point and willingness to jump into the offensive zone seems to have captured the attention of coach Jack Capuano. Even so, it's still probably most likely that the 19-year-old opens the season in the AHL in an attempt to find him regular ice time.
