News: John Klingberg had an assist and 24:03 of ice time in Wednesday's win over the Bruins.
Analysis: John Klingberg is working his way into the Calder discussion. He has a goal and four assists in his last four games. If you stretch that out, he has four goals and seven assists in his last seven games. The rookie has 10 goals and 14 assists through 40 games this season, which includes two power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and a plus-10 rating. Klingberg is also logging solid minutes. He has 12 straight games over the 20-minute threshold and has only been below that mark 11 times in 40 games. If you took a chance on Klingberg, you're laughing all the way to the playoffs.

After enduring a bit of an offensive lull earlier in the season, he has chalked up nine points (four goals, five assists) in his last five games. We better start talking about this guy in Calder trophy discussions. He's that good.

Stars' Klingberg Records Three PP Points In Win

News: John Klingberg recorded a goal and two assists on the power play and added an even-strength tally in Saturday's win over Winnipeg.
Analysis: What a monster night for the 22-year-old, who logged 22:23 of ice time, including a whopping 7:17 of man advantage time. He's got five goals and 11 points in his last eight games, giving him 24 points in 35 games on the season. This rising stud has had seven multi-point outings this season and is playing on the top power-play unit with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. Do you really need any more reasons to grab him off the waiver wire? Snag him while you can, as he's the real deal.

Stars' Klingberg Tallies Winner, Gets Assist

News: John Klingberg recorded a power-play assist and the game-winning goal in Thursday's 6-3 victory over the Senators.
Analysis: John Klingberg put the Stars on top for good with an unassisted tally, his seventh marker of the season. The 22-year-old hasn't been shy about looking for his own offense since arriving in Big D, racking up 55 shots in 34 games en route to 20 points and a plus-8 rating. That's good enough to warrant a roster spot in most leagues.

Stars' Klingberg Stays Hot With Two Points

News: John Klingberg dished out a pair of assists in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.
Analysis: John Klingberg is on a roll lately as he's now turned in five points in his last four contests, including two multi-point efforts. The blueliner has had an impressive rookie campaign and now has 18 points through just 31 games to go along with a plus-9 rating. The 22-year-old has already exceeded expectations this year and should be a reliable option among defensemen going forward.

Stars' Klingberg Scores Two

News: John Klingberg helped power the Stars' comeback on Tuesday, scoring the game-tying goal and then what turned out to be the game-winner as part of a four-goal second period against the Senators.
Analysis: Man, this kid is impressive. He'd hit the skids over the last three, going minus-4 without a point, but bounced back in a big way in this one, including turning out his most physical play of the year with four hits (a season high) and two blocks. He's still hovering right around 20 minutes of ice time on average; as his game develops, he may be entrusted with even heavier minutes. Eventually, John Klingberg will develop into one of the NHL's premier offensive threats from the blue line. He's already one of the more intriguing fantasy defensemen.

Klingberg Snaps Slump, Scores In Stars Win

News: John Klingberg had a power play goal in Monday's win over the Rangers.
Analysis: John Klingberg, who started his career on fire by potting three goals and five assists in his first eight games, hadn't scored in 12 games before Monday's goal. He's still seeing lots of ice time and solid power play minutes. He's an interesting depth play even though it's not clear how consistent his production will be.

Stars' Klingberg Scores First NHL Goal

News: John Klingberg scored the first goal of his NHL career in Thursday's win over the Coyotes, tying the game at 1-1 just 19 seconds into the third period.
Analysis: The 22-year-old Swede is off to a terrific start to his NHL career, having tallied four points in the last three games after opening with three scoreless outings. His 11-goal performance in Sweden last year and 12 points in 10 AHL games indicate that this offensive production hasn't come out of nowhere. The rookie's already being trusted with serious ice time -- more than 23 minutes in five straight games -- so he should keep getting chances to put up points.

News: John Klingberg was credited with two assists in Tuesday's loss to the Hurricanes.
Analysis: Tyler Seguin tipped in both of John Klingberg's shot attempts for goals, allowing the young blueliner to continue his run of steady play since his Nov. 10 promotion from AHL Texas. Klingberg has settled into a top-four role on defense right away over his five games with the Stars, averaging 23:35 of ice time.

Stars Recall Klingberg

News: The Stars have recalled John Klingberg from AHL Texas.
Analysis: If he gets into a game, John Klingberg will make his NHL debut. He's one of the the Stars' top prospects, and the team has struggled on defense this season. They're looking for a bright spot, so don't be surprised if Klingberg gets a chance to play serious minutes. However, his fantasy value is unknown. He's got offensive potential, having put up 12 points in 10 AHL games this year, but you'll want to see him produce before picking him up.

Stars Send Klingberg To Minors

News: John Klingberg (hip) was assigned to AHL Texas on Tuesday, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Analysis: John Klingberg was limited for most of training camp with a hip injury, taking him out of the running to help fill the defense void left by Brenden Dillon, who remains away from the deal due to a contract dispute. It shouldn't be long before the former fifth-round draft pick returns to full health and plays regularly for AHL Texas, the reigning Calder Cup champs.

Stars Bringing Klingberg Along Slowly

News: The Stars have limited John Klingberg's (hip) activity during the early part of training camp, NHL.com reports.
Analysis: With John Klingberg still working his way back to full health following offseason hip surgery, the Stars have been careful not to have the forward overextend himself too much in his return to the ice. He's experienced nothing more than the expected soreness during his practice sessions so far, and it shouldn't be long before the Stars turn him loose in their preseason games.
