Bolts' Erne Dominating QMJHL Early On

News: Adam Erne had a goal and two assists in Quebec's (QMJHL) 4-2 win over Sherbrooke on Friday.
Analysis: With Anthony Duclair still currently playing in the NHL for the Rangers, Adam Erne has become the clear-cut number one offensive option for Quebec. He has responded to the tune of 16 goals and 33 points in his first 19 games this season. Not bad for a guy who missed the vast majority of the offseason while recovering from wrist surgery. Erne has gone just two games this season without recording a point. Quebec is slated to host the Memorial Cup this coming spring, so Erne may not be seeing any action in the AHL this season.

Bolts' Erne (Wrist) Still Awaiting Full Clearance

News: Adam Erne is still awaiting full clearance to practice following his July wrist surgery, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Adam Erne was a limited participant during Thursday's informal workouts, and it looks as though he might not be completely ready to go when training camps commence. That being said, he does appear to be progressing positively from the injury, so it doesn't sound like he's at risk of missing a large portion of the upcoming season. After tearing up the QMJHL last season before earning a late call-up to AHL Syracuse, Erne figures to see more action in the minors once healthy.
