News: Josh Jooris tallied an assist Thursday in a 4-3 loss to the Sabres, his first helper in nine games.
Analysis: Josh Jooris' scoring has been inconsistent this season, but 13 points in 23 games is certainly solid for a rookie who didn't make the team out of camp. He's one of several bright prospects on the Calgary roster, and is on pace for 42 points this season.

First NHL Hat Trick For Flames' Jooris

News: Josh Jooris found twine three times for his first NHL hat trick in Tuesday's win over the Coyotes.
Analysis: The third one was an empty-netter, but he'll surely take it. How long has it been since Josh Jooris's last hat trick? It came four years ago in his very first game as a freshman at Union College. His production's been a bit spotty, but he still owns a very solid eight goals and 12 points in his first 19 NHL games.

Analysis: That's four goals and seven points in 12 games for Josh Jooris, who is currently centering the third line. While he is only averaging 14:31 of ice time per game, the 24-year rookie still has the offensive skill that may make him worth a look in some deep leagues.

Flames' Jooris Nets Two In Win

News: Josh Jooris scored a pair of goals in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canadiens.
Analysis: Josh Jooris scored a goal in his NHL debut, but failed to make much of an impact following that which led to his healthy scratch on Friday. Sunday's two goal effort was an encouraging sign, and should earn him some more playing time, but there's still not enough there to merit fantasy consideration in most leagues.

News: Josh Jooris will be a healthy scratch for Friday's game against the Predators, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris has been quiet since recording a goal in his NHL debut, with his move to the bottom line likely contributing to his lack of impact. Brian McGrattan is expected to take his spot in the lineup Friday.

Flames' Jooris Draws Back In Tuesday

News: Josh Jooris (upper body) will return to the lineup Tuesday against the Lightning, Sportsnet's Pat Steinberg reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris missed only one game due to the lower-body injury, which he suffered during his NHL debut Friday. The ailment aside, Jooris enjoyed a productive first game with the Flames, contributing a goal in over 15 minutes of action. Now that it's healthy, it looks like Jooris will receive the opportunity to solidify himself as the Flames' top-line right winger.

Flames' Jooris Ruled Out Sunday

News: Josh Jooris sustained an upper-body injury in his NHL debut Friday and has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Jets, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: The undrafted free agent sparkled while playing on the Flames' top line Friday versus Edmonton, scoring a dazzling goal past netminder Sergei Bobrovsky on one of his three shots on the night. The performance probably would have afforded Josh Jooris some more opportunities on the top line, but the untimely injury now leaves his status in some doubt.

Flames' Jooris Nets Goal In NHL Debut

News: Josh Jooris scored his first career goal in his NHL debut Friday.
Analysis: It was a thing of beauty from the 24-year-old, who took a terrific stretch pass from Mark Giordano before breaking in all alone and beating Sergei Bobrovsky over the glove. Josh Jooris, who was an undrafted free agent signing by the Flames in 2013, skated on the top line alongside Sean Monahan and Jiri Hudler in the loss to Columbus. It remains to be seen if Jooris will stick with the team, but his beautiful goal Friday is certainly working in his favor.

Flames' Jooris Likely To Get Top-Line Shot

News: Josh Jooris skated on the top line with Jiri Hudler and Sean Monahan at morning skate and looks like he'll play there Friday against the Blue Jackets, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: The 24-year-old Josh Jooris was a standout for the Flames in training camp, but after he was among the final cuts, it wasn't expected that he'd arrive back in Calgary quite so soon. Johnny Gaudreau is expected to head to the press box to make room for Jooris, who will probably need to impress immediately in order to stick on the top line.

Flames Call Up Jooris From AHL

News: The Flames called up Josh Jooris from AHL Adirondack on Thursday, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris was brought up to provide some depth up front while Lance Bouma (face) and David Jones (lower body) are injured. The 24-year-old impressed during the preseason, but is not a heralded prospect, so he may serve primarily as an extra forward with the Flames.

Flames' Jooris Scores Pair Of Goals

News: Josh Jooris netted two goals in a 4-2 preseason win over Winnipeg on Thursday.
Analysis: Despite being less heralded than some of his younger teammates, Josh Jooris has held on to a roster spot thus far in the preseason. He has found chemistry with Sam Bennett and Johnny Gaudreau and has the grit that the Flames love, but it's a toss-up at this point whether he'll make the team.
