Flames' Jooris (Wrist) In Line To Play Wednesday

News: Josh Jooris (wrist) is in line to play Wednesday against the Ducks, Derek Willis of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris was activated from injured reserve in advance of Monday's game against the Kings, but ended up serving as a healthy scratch. After getting a couple more practices in, Jooris will reenter the lineup for the first time since Jan. 7. He's set to center the Flames' top line, with Johnny Gaudreau and Jiri Hudler flanking him on the wings.

Flames' Jooris Out Monday

News: Though Josh Jooris (wrist) is no longer on IR, he isn't slated to play Monday against the Kings, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.
Analysis: With that nugget that follows his activation, the soonest we'll see Josh Jooris back in action is Wednesday, when the Flames take on the Ducks.

Flames' Jooris Skates With Team

News: Josh Jooris (wrist) skated with the "game-day group" Thursday in a non-contact jersey, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: The fact that Josh Jooris has begun skating with the rest of the team is certainly a promising development. However, Jooris still sported a non-contact jersey in practice, which indicates that he still needs more time to fully recover from his nagging wrist injury. Fantasy owners should consider Jooris day-to-day at this point in time.

Flames' Jooris Skating

News: Josh Jooris (undisclosed) skated with the rest of the injured Flames during Tuesday's practice, NHL.com's Aaron Vickers reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris is eligible to return action Thursday against the Coyotes, but it doesn't look like he's going to be ready to go by that time. He's been bothered by an undisclosed injury for the last couple of weeks, and it seems the club wants to give him additional time to recover. He shouldn't be considered close to returning until he practices with the rest of the team.

Flames' Jooris Dealing With Nagging Injury

News: Coach Bob Hartley indicated Thursday that Josh Jooris is out due to a nagging wrist injury that the forward has been dealing with, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.

Flames Move Jooris (Undisclosed) To IR

News: Josh Jooris was placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury Thursday, NHL.com's Aaron Vickers reports.
Analysis: It wasn't initially reported that Josh Jooris suffered an injury in Wednesday's game against the Red Wings, but that seems to be the case after he played two minutes fewer than his average. He had previously been bothered by a wrist ailment in late December, so it's possible he might have aggravated that area again. In any case, more information should be available regarding his condition in the coming days, but he'll be forced to miss at least two games, as he won't be eligible to return from IR until Jan. 15 at the earliest.

Flames' Jooris Set To Return Wednesday

News: Josh Jooris (wrist) will replace Mason Raymond in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Edmonton, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris had missed three games with the injury but appears back to full strength. You may want to wait a couple games before re-inserting Jooris, as he was on a cold streak before getting hurt.

Flames' Jooris Out Monday

News: Josh Jooris (wrist) will not play in Monday's game against the Kings.
Analysis: Josh Jooris was not expected to play Monday, but this confirms that he will miss his third straight game. He was able to take part in pregame warmups, so he should have a chance to return for Calgary's next game Wednesday.

Flames' Jooris (Wrist) Doubtful Monday

News: Josh Jooris (wrist) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Kings, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris missed each of the previous two contests due to the injury, and it seems as though he won't play again Monday. He may receive an updated status before the opening faceoff, but assuming he can't go, his next chance to return will come Wednesday against the Oilers.

Flames Rule Jooris Out Saturday

News: Josh Jooris (wrist) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Oilers, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Analysis: Previously labeled a game-time decision, Josh Jooris was able to take part in the morning skate, but the Flames decided it was in his best interest to sit for another game. He doesn't look to be far from a return, and will have stronger odds of suiting up in the Flames' next contest Monday against the Kings.

Flames' Jooris A Game-Time Decision

News: Josh Jooris (wrist) is a game-time decision for Saturday night's game, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris is having a terrific rookie season, although he has only one point in his past eight games. He had five days off to rest his ailing wrist, but it remains to be seen if he's at 100 percent. If you have better options, it's best to hold off on him until he gets fully healthy and breaks out of his drought.

Flames' Jooris A Game-Time Decision Saturday

News: Josh Jooris will be a game-time decision Saturday against the Canucks due to a foot injury, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Analysis: Josh Jooris took a hard shot off the foot in Friday's loss to the Stars and was sporting a walking boot Saturday morning, but coach Bob Hartley said that he's still counting on the forward to suit up later in the evening. Since becoming a popular waiver wire pickup following his Dec. 2 hat trick against the Coyotes, Jooris has gone ice cold, contributing just one point in his last eight games.

Calgary's Jooris Picks Up Assist In Loss

News: Josh Jooris tallied an assist Thursday in a 4-3 loss to the Sabres, his first helper in nine games.
Analysis: Josh Jooris' scoring has been inconsistent this season, but 13 points in 23 games is certainly solid for a rookie who didn't make the team out of camp. He's one of several bright prospects on the Calgary roster, and is on pace for 42 points this season.

First NHL Hat Trick For Flames' Jooris

News: Josh Jooris found twine three times for his first NHL hat trick in Tuesday's win over the Coyotes.
Analysis: The third one was an empty-netter, but he'll surely take it. How long has it been since Josh Jooris's last hat trick? It came four years ago in his very first game as a freshman at Union College. His production's been a bit spotty, but he still owns a very solid eight goals and 12 points in his first 19 NHL games.

Flames' Jooris Nets Two In Win

News: Josh Jooris scored a pair of goals in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canadiens.
Analysis: Josh Jooris scored a goal in his NHL debut, but failed to make much of an impact following that which led to his healthy scratch on Friday. Sunday's two goal effort was an encouraging sign, and should earn him some more playing time, but there's still not enough there to merit fantasy consideration in most leagues.

Flames' Jooris To Be Healthy Scratch Friday

News: Josh Jooris will be a healthy scratch for Friday's game against the Predators, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.

Flames' Jooris Ruled Out Sunday

News: Josh Jooris sustained an upper-body injury in his NHL debut Friday and has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Jets, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: The undrafted free agent sparkled while playing on the Flames' top line Friday versus Edmonton, scoring a dazzling goal past netminder Sergei Bobrovsky on one of his three shots on the night. The performance probably would have afforded Josh Jooris some more opportunities on the top line, but the untimely injury now leaves his status in some doubt.
