Flames' Gaudreau Rattles Off Three More Points

News: Johnny Gaudreau dished out two assists -- one on the man advantage -- and capped the scoring with a power-play goal Thursday in a 4-1 win over Philadelphia. He went plus-2 on the evening.
Analysis: After seeing a six-game point streak come to an abrupt end with two straight games off the scoresheet, Johnny Gaudreau bounced right back, as he has all year. The New Jersey native may be undersized, but he's supremely talented and he's done a great job staying healthy in the rough-and-tumble NHL. They call him Johnny Hockey for a reason.

Hot Streak Continues For Flames' Gaudreau

News: Johnny Gaudreau scored his 19th goal of the season and added two helpers in Friday's 6-3 doubling up of the Leafs.
Analysis: Johnny Hockey's point streak is now at six consecutive games, a span that has featured four goals, five assists, a plus-7 rating and 16 SOG. The kid is absolute cash right now and is ripping things up on Calgary's top line alongside Jiri Hudler and Sean Monahan, and they've collectively racked up an insane 30 points (not a typo) over those six games.

Two Goals For Flames' Gaudreau

News: Johnny Gaudreau found the back of the net twice in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the visiting Ducks.
Analysis: Johnny Hockey has caught fire yet again, as he's now rattled off six points over a five-game point streak. The pair of goals bring him to 18 on the season, and gets him to the 50-point plateau -- three back of the Predators' Filip Forsberg for the rookie scoring lead. With a favorable matchup against the lowly Leafs coming up on Friday, Johnny Gaudreau will have a good chance at extending his point streak to six games.

Flames' Gaudreau Breaks Goal Drought

News: Johnny Gaudreau scored his first goal since Jan. 27 on Thursday in a 4-3 shootout win against Boston.
Analysis: Johnny Gaudreau had a terrific first half of the season but has slowed a bit over the last month. That being said, he does have two points in two March games and seems to be playing well again. He may be primed for a solid stretch run as the Flames shoot for a playoff berth.

Flames' Gaudreau Helps Out In Loss

News: Johnny Gaudreau notched an assist in Tuesday's win over the Flyers.
Analysis: While it was nice to see Johnny Gaudreau get back in the scoring column after a three-game scoring drought, his lack of goal production has been troubling. He failed to find the net at all in February, and though he offset it to a degree with seven assists, he submitted a minus-10 rating for the month. Gaudreau seems to be hitting the proverbial rookie wall, and it might be wise to keep him parked on the bench until he gets rolling again.

Flames' Gaudreau Building Point Streak

News: Johnny Gaudreau tallied an assist and earned the first four penalty minutes of his career in Monday's 4-3 win over the Bruins.
Analysis: It took 57 games, but Johnny Gaudreau finally earned his first trip to the penalty box on a double minor for high-sticking. We've become much more accustomed to seeing Gaudreau as a setup man, as he's collected assists in four straight games. It matches a season-long point streak for the rookie, who has achieved the feat on three other occasions.

Flames' Gaudreau Helps Out In Win

News: Johnny Gaudreau found Jiri Hudler on a power-play opportunity in Monday's win over the Sharks, claiming his 25th assist of the season.
Analysis: The pocket-sized forward hasn't scored in six games, but has helped his cause with three assists during that time. With 40 points in 53 games, Johnny Gaudreau trails only the Preds' Filip Forsberg (48 points) in rookie scoring.

Flames' Gaudreau Exits Break With Two Goals

News: Johnny Gaudreau pushed his point streak to three games by scoring goals on both of his shots -- one on the power play -- Tuesday against Buffalo.
Analysis: An efficient game for Johnny Gaudreau, who has a four-game streak if you include the All-Star Game. But we don't, of course. He just keeps looking better and better, and is on pace to easily hit 60 points while playing the least-physical hockey in the league -- the rookie hasn't taken a penalty in his 48 career NHL games, and he just five hits all year.

News: Johnny Gaudreau notched an assist in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: Johnny Gaudreau has just one goal in January, but he's buoyed his value by helping out with regularity, contributing assists in four of his last five games. He still ended up finishing with a season-best seven shots in Wednesday's game against the Ducks, so expect the goals to return for him in the second half.

Flames' Gaudreau Nets Late Goal In Loss

News: Johnny Gaudreau broke a shutout for the Islanders' Jaroslav Halak late in Friday's game, but it wouldn't be enough as the Flames fell 2-1.
Analysis: Johnny Gaudreau's tally came with less than four minutes remaining in regulation, sparking what looked like another potential late-game comeback for the Flames. Nonetheless, the flashy rookie now has goals in four of his last six games, finding twine seven times during that span, and is up to 13 on the year to go with 18 assists, an impressive plus-11 rating and 77 SOG. He's a must-own in all but the very shallowest of formats and will garner seriously Calder Trophy consideration should he be able to produce points regularly as the season marches on.

Flames' Gaudreau: Six Goals In Three Games

News: Johnny Gaudreau continued to sizzle Saturday night against the Oilers, netting two goals -- including the game-winner -- in the Flames' 4-1 victory.
Analysis: The goals came just 16 seconds apart of each other in the first period, as Johnny Gaudreau found himself wide open in space and was able to beat fellow goaltender twice on one-on-one matchups. Johnny Hockey now has an impressive six goals in his last three games, drawing within five points of the Preds' Filip Forsberg for the rookie scoring lead.

Johnny Gaudreau also finished the game with an impressive plus-3 rating and seven shots on goal in 19:58 of ice time. He heads into the Christmas break having posted an impressive 27 points -- ten of them goals -- in 35 games this season.

Flames' Gaudreau Scores Seventh Of Season

News: Johnny Gaudreau potted his seventh goal of the season in Saturday's loss to the Canucks.
Analysis: With seven goals and 24 points in 32 games, Johnny Gaudreau has been a fantasy gem in his first full NHL season. Skating on the second line, the 21-year-old could reach the 60-point mark in 2014-15. Although the Flames have lost seven straight, Gaudreau is worth a look, as he has been remarkably consistent since late-November, never going more than three games without appearing on the scoresheet.

Flames' Gaudreau Continues To Pile Up Points

News: Johnny Gaudreau extended his point streak to four games Saturday, scoring a goal and recording five shots on goal in a loss to San Jose.
Analysis: Oh baby, Johnny Hockey has caught fire. The rookie has two goals and six points in his last four games, putting him at 21 points in 27 games on the season. Skating on the second line and top power-play unit, Johnny Gaudreau is thriving with a Flames team that has scored the most goals in the Western Conference. He's worth a look right now, as his plus-10 rating and two-game-winning goals make him an all-round great fantasy option. Gaudreau has surpassed even the highest of expectations this season and is invaluable in keeper leagues.

Analysis: The 21-year-old youngster continues to deliver this season, recording four goals and 17 points in 24 games, to go with an impressive plus-9 rating. Flames' Gaudreau Supplies Three Points Saturday

News: Johnny Gaudreau supplied a goal and an assist while skating to a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: The rookie just keeps rolling along, as he now has 12 points in 15 games. He's one of the smallest players in the league and is still green to NHL hockey, but Johnny Gaudreau has a terrific pedigree and should have a good chance at maintaining this pace of production all season long ... as long as the surprising Flames don't regress too much from their current high-scoring ways, of course.

News: Johnny Gaudreau (illness) will play Tuesday against the Capitals, NHL.com's Aaron Vickers reports.

News: Johnny Gaudreau added two assists in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canadiens.

Flames' Gaudreau Claims Two Points Friday

News: Johnny Gaudreau gathered a goal and assist in Friday's 4-3 win over the Predators.
Analysis: After a bumpy start to the season, "Johnny Hockey" seems to be settling in a bit, as he's now registered three points while attempting 11 shots on goal over his last two games. The Flames were already short on forward talent heading into the season and are dealing with a number of injuries at the position, so the team's hopes of maintaining its surprising winning record (6-4-2) may hinge on Johnny Gaudreau's ability to provide points with regularity.

Flames' Gaudreau Nets First NHL Goal

News: Johnny Gaudreau scored his first goal of the season and added an assist in Sunday's win over the Jets.
Analysis: After a Mason Raymond shot was turned away, Joe Colborne passed the rebound behind the net to Johnny Gaudreau, who used his speed to score a slick wraparound goal. Gaudreau's points Sunday were the first two of the season, but if he continues to skate with Raymond and Mikael Backlund on the second line, more will follow. The 21-year-old rookie has a bright future and will be a key fantasy player in the coming years.

Flames' Gaudreau A Likely Scratch Friday

News: Johnny Gaudreau is expected to serve as a healthy scratch Friday against the Blue Jackets, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: The arrival of Josh Jooris from AHL Adirondack as well as the expected return of Lance Bouma from a facial injury looks like it will result in the removal of both Johnny Gaudreau and Devin Setoguchi from the lineup. Expected to be one of the better contributors of a weak Flames offense, Gaudreau has struggled mightily in the team's first five games, mustering just one shot on goal. It may not be long before the Flames send Gaudreau to Adirondack to regain some confidence.
