News: Blue Jackets LW Kristian Huselius scored a goal on Monday against the Rangers to extend his point streak to five games. Huselius, who finished at minus-3, scored with 1:12 left in the second. He has four goals and four assists during his streak.	Analysis: Huselius has posted 17 points in his first 18 games and hasn't looked this good offensively since he was in Calgary. There is hope Huselius is ready to get back over 60 points in 2009-10, but he definitely has to fight off the inconsistency bug. Huselius remains more of a No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward, but his value is climbing.

Analysis: Huselius goes through these hot offensive streaks once in a while, but then cools off. If he can do something on Saturday at Nashville, then feel free to give him a shot in most formats for Fantasy Week 8 (Nov. 23-29).

News: Kristian Huselius scored in the shootout and had a goal and an assist for Columbus during a 3-2 win over the Ducks on Friday. Huselius, back after missing four games with an arm injury, made it 2-2 on the power play with his sixth. Antoine Vermette, stationed near the right post, set up the play with a long back-hand pass to Huselius, who wristed a shot from the left circle over a diving Jean-Sebastien Giguere.	Analysis: Huselius is up to six goals and 11 points in 14 games. He is doing very well playing on a line with Rick Nash and bounced back from an arm injury in a big way on Friday. Huselius is a good offensive player, but he is streaky at times and that keeps him as a No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward.

Analysis: Torres is expected to miss a week or so after taking a puck in his mouth. News: Blue Jackets LW Kristian Huselius scored a the game-winning goal during Tuesday's 2-1 victory against the Flames. Huselius snapped a low shot from the right side of the goal area at 17:36 of the second for his second. "We didn't have our best period in the first but in the second I thought we played our best period so far this season," Huselius said. "We forechecked hard, we capitalized on our chance on the power play and just kept going at them. That set up the win."	Analysis: Huselius has two goals and three assists during a four-game point streak. He is off to a nice start in 2009-10 and continues to look like Columbus' second-best offensive option behind Rick Nash. Huselius can definitely be a streaky player, but he still passes as a viable No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward.

News: Kristian Huselius, Rostislav Klesla and Nikita Filatov scored over a 3:44 span early in the second period to chase star Vancouver goaltender Roberto Luongo and lead the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 5-3 victory against the Canucks on Monday night. Huselius broke a tie 2:07 into the second period, and Klesla and Filatov broke the game open and ended Luongo's night early with goals 22 seconds apart. Huselius used Nash as a decoy off the rush and blew a wrist shot past Luongo's glove, Klesla scored on a wrist shot through traffic at 5:29, and Filatov finished a 3-on-2 with a shot through Luongo's legs on the next shift.	Analysis: Huselius added an assist and finished at minus-1 on Monday. The veteran forward continues to skate on a line with Rick Nash and Derick Brassard. We expected his point production to drop a little in 2008-09 after he left Calgary for Columbus. While it did, Huselius still threatened as a 60-point player. He will have his peaks and valleys, but Huselius is still a nice No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward.

Analysis: Huselius goes through his ups and downs year in and year out and produces enough to be considered a No. 5 Fantasy option when healthy. His numbers have slipped the past two seasons and might go down again in 2009-10.

News: The Columbus Dispatch reports that Blue Jackets LW Kristian Huselius and D Mike Commodore both missed practice Wednesday with the flu. Commodore is also dealing with a groin problem.	Analysis: Commodore is capable of scoring in the mid-20s, which makes him just a low-end Fantasy forward in deeper formats that reward PIM. Huselius was almost a point-per-game guy a few seasons ago in Calgary, but his numbers have slipped over the past two seasons. He remains more of a bench option in regular Fantasy leagues.

He is however expected to play in the team's first game of the Western Conference playoffs.	Analysis: The Blue Jackets had no reason to bring Huselius back early and it will be interesting to see if he is active to start the Western Conference playoffs. Analysis: Four points is the most that Huselius has accumulated in one game the entire season. Rick Nash accomplished the same feat on Thursday, tallying four assists on the same goals that Huselius assisted on. This one performance is clearly Huselius overachieving as he should be thought of as a No. 5 or 6 option only.

He slipped in alone on right wing after taking a pass from Jakub Voracek, deked Cristobal Huet to the ice and scored on a backhand shot. Huselius has two goals and three assists in his last six games.	Analysis: Huselius now has 20 or more goals in four straight seasons and six times in his seven-year career. His assist totals have dipped a bit since leaving Calgary, but we expected that as soon as he left a line with Jarome Iginla. Still, Huselius is worth a look as a No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward.

That's why Columbus traded for Antoine Vermette in hopes he can be a constant figure between Huselius and Rick Nash. News: Columbus defeated the Hurricanes 5-1 on Saturday and Blue Jackets LW Kristian Huselius did the most damage. Huselius scored twice in the game and added an assist for a total of three points. He picked up his first goal in the 2nd period off a power play and added his 16th of the season on the empty net to give the game its final margin. He assisted R.J. Umberger on a power play in the 3rd period.	Analysis: The Blue Jackets left winger now has 40 points on the season after Saturday's nice game. He has been playing on the left side on a line with Nash, who picked up three assists in the game, over the last few weeks and the duo really seems to be clicking with Manny Malhotra as their center. Huselius has solid offensive skills, but is still more of a No. 4 or No. 5 Fantasy forward.

Huselius was cut by linemate Rick Nash as they were preparing to go on the ice for a third-period shift. "I was really lucky," Huselius said.	Analysis: This injury comes at a horrible time for Huselius, who has a goal and six assists over his last four contests after putting up just seven points in 14 December games. Huselius remains more of a No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward when healthy. He is only expected to miss a week of action and could return Tuesday against Detroit. News: Kristian Huselius scored twice and Steve Mason won his fourth straight despite having his shutout streak halted at three games and the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Colorado Avalanche 6-1 on Friday. Huselius had his first multi-goal game of the season, scoring both times on pinpoint passes from Rick Nash. He tied the game at 1 with a wrist shot past Peter Budaj 2:28 into the second period, and scored again 16:10 into the frame.	Analysis: After being held pointless for five games in mid-December, Huselius has three goals and three assists over his past eight games. Huselius has done an admirable job with the Blue Jackets in 2008-09, but doesn't have a month this season with 10 or more points and is missing the explosiveness he had with Jarome Iginla in Calgary. We figured Huselius would lose some Fantasy appeal this season and he has. Continue to view him as a No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward.

News: Kristian Huselius scored off Rick Nash's blue-collar assist with 4:44 left and Columbus beat the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 on Monday night, giving the Blue Jackets their first win this season after allowing the first goal. Nash had two defenders draped on him as he carried the puck out of the corner and over the left dot before feeding Huselius, who was all alone at the right side of the crease for an easy jam shot for his ninth of the year. Huselius said he was almost a bystander. "It was a great pass, a great effort," said Huselius, who also had an assist and plus-1 rating. "Rick caught two guys playing him and made a great pass to me and I just had to one-time it."	Analysis: Huselius has four goals and four assists in his last eight games. He has managed 18 points in his first 23 games with the Blue Jackets and is managing to survive outside of Calgary. He is playing most nights with Nash and that's almost as good as playing with Jarome Iginla. Still, Huselius is more of a No. 4 Fantasy forward.

He didn't record a point in 17:07 of ice time and finished at minus-2. He also spent four minutes in the penalty box for high-sticking.	Analysis: It would have been nice to see Huselius return to action with a point instead of a minus-2 rating, but the fact he is back on the ice is good news in itself. Huselius has three points (two goals) in five November games and 10 overall in his first 15 games with the Blue Jackets. He is managing to survive outside of Calgary and remains a decent No. 3 Fantasy forward when healthy.
