Rangers' Nash: No Points, But Excellent Game

News: Rick Nash didn't pick up a point in Game 2 against the Kings on Saturday night, but it was perhaps his best game of the playoffs so far. He fired eight shots, laid five hits and drove the net hard on multiple opportunities.
Analysis: Rick Nash's reputation seems to have taken a hit this postseason, but he sure looked good Saturday night -- he just didn't record a point. They should come. He can't scuffle too much longer.

Rangers' Nash Contributes Two Points

News: Rick Nash scored a goal and added an assist in Tuesday's Game 5 loss to the Canadiens.
Analysis: Rick Nash's (admittedly fluky) goal sparked the Rangers' second-period rally from a 4-1 deficit to tie the game at 4-4, but they ended up falling short. Still, Nash has had a solid series against Montreal, now that he's finally gotten the monkey off his back. He's chipped in five points in five games.

Rangers' Nash Finally Finding Scoring Touch

News: Rick Nash scored the game-winning goal against the Canadiens in Monday's Game 2.
Analysis: After not scoring any goals in New York's first two series, Rick Nash has a goal in back-to-back games to open the Eastern Conference Finals. He's played well defensively throughout the playoffs while generating plentiful opportunities, and now he's starting to be rewarded.

Rangers' Nash Finally Gets Goal

News: Rick Nash scored his first goal of the playoffs Saturday in a 7-2 win over Montreal. He also added an assist.
Analysis: It took 15 games for him to light the lamp, but maybe this is just what he needed to get his offensive game back on track.

Rangers Triumph Over Pens Despite Silent Nash

News: Rick Nash went scoreless again in Tuesday's Game 7 win over Pittsburgh, putting just one shot on goal.
Analysis: How snakebit is Rick Nash? He had an empty-net chance in the final minute blocked by a desperate Penguin. The highly paid forward is still without a goal in 14 playoff games this year, though he still leads the league with 52 postseason shots on goal and has collected five assists. Things are only gonna get tougher going forward, so the Rangers really need him to start contributing.

Rangers' Nash Earning Back Fans?

News: Rick Nash was shutout again on two shots in a Game 6, 3-1 win over the Penguins on Sunday.
Analysis: After putting an end to his eight game point drought, Rick Nash is back off the wagon. Though one good side is the four hits he collected and even the extra critical home crowd cheered him for the effort during Pittsburgh's final dash in the third period.

Rangers' Nash to Continue Slump?

News: Rick Nash was locked out of the scorer's sheet in a Game 7 victory over Philadelphia.
Analysis: After registering four assists in the first three games of the series, the Rangers talented first-line forward was blanked in the final four games of the series. More concerning is his less-than-thrilling 12 points (seven goal) in 18 career games against the team's next round opponent, Pittsburgh.

Rangers' Nash Consistently Finding Score Sheet

News: Rick Nash contributed two assists and went plus-2 in a 4-1 Game 3 victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Analysis: With four assists in three postseason games thus far, Rick Nash is contributing consistently. The 2002 No. 1 pick still has a relatively meager 12 points in 19 career playoff games, but he's been quite active offensively so far in the opening round.

Nash Chips In Assist In Rangers' Game 2 Loss

News: Rick Nash had an assist in Sunday's Game 2 loss to Philadelphia.
Analysis: That's two points in two post-season games for the talented winger. If the Rangers are going to go deep into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Rick Nash will certainly need to increase his totals of two goals and eight through 18 career playoff games.

Rangers' Nash Sets New Career High

News: Rick Nash scored the game-winning goal with under two minutes remaining in the third period of Thursday's 2-1 win over Buffalo.
Analysis: Rick Nash's 26th goal of the season couldn't have come at a better time and even snaps a personal three-game scoring drought. Despite one of the nost pedestrian offensive seasons in quite some time, by finding the back of the net, he sets a new career high with his ninth game-winning goal of the season.

Rangers' Nash Reaches 25 Goals

News: Rick Nash collected two goals and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Oilers.
Analysis: That's a nice little three-game monkey off Rick Nashy's back. It also marks the veteran's ninth career 25-goal season. However, add in his paltry season total of 12 assists for 37 points through 59 games played, and most fantasy owners are probably feeling a bit let down.

Rangers' Nash: Eighth Game-Winning Goal

News: Rick Nash fired his team-leading, eighth game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Devils.
Analysis: His 35 points in 55 games may be disappointing, but not if you're counting goals -- he has 23 in that span. That's a 35-goal pace over a full season. Use him.

Rangers' Nash Strikes Twice In Rout

News: Rick Nash scored the Rangers' first goal on a penalty kill and their last goal into an empty net in Tuesday's 8-4 rout of Ottawa.
Analysis: After five straight without a goal, Rick Nash got the monkey off his back, but he continues to muddle along in a subpar season. He has just four goals and three assists in his last 16 games.

Rangers' Nash In Goal-Scoring Slump

News: Rick Nash is currently in a four-game goal-less drought.
Analysis: Rick Nash, who is minus-3 with just two goals and three assists in his last 14 games has certainly gone cold at the wrong time for fantasy owners. However, his career numbers (122 points in 151 games) suggest March to be the first-line winger's favorite month of the season, so his funk shouldn't drag on for too much longer.

Rangers' Nash Tallies Goal, Assist In Win Friday

News: Rick Nash scored his 20th goal of the season and assisted on another during the Rangers' 4-2 win over the Hurricanes on Friday.
Analysis: Rick Nash had been held without a point and registered a minus-3 rating over the last two games, so it was good to see him get off the schnide quickly. Along with his 20 goals, he also has 11 assists, giving him 31 points in 46 games this season.

Rangers' Nash Scores Late Winner

News: Rick Nash's goal with 4:07 remaining Thursday gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead, and it turned into the game-winner when the Blackhawks scored late in the third.
Analysis: A nice exit from the Olympic break for Rick Nash, who collected just a single point (an assist) in six games for gold-medal-winning Canada and had gone without a point in five straight NHL games before that.

Nash Line Slumping For Rangers

News: Headed into Thursday's tilt with the Oilers, Rick Nash has gone three games without registering a point.
Analysis: After registering at least one goal in his previous five contests, the team's most prolific scorer has now reached a season-high three-game point drought. Much like his slumping linemates (Chris Kreider, Derek Stepan), in light of their struggles, Rick Nash has seen his ice time drop well below 17 minutes over the last two games. With the Olympics approaching, a player of his magnitude is likely to kick things up a notch and break his slump against a offense-oriented Oilers team.

Rangers' Nash Extends Streak

News: Rick Nash netted a goal in Sunday's 7-3 win over New Jersey.
Analysis: The elite winger is really digging in as we approach the Olympic break. Rick Nash, who has 11 goals in as many games, will look to tie a career-high six-game goal-scoring streak on Wednesday against the Islanders.

Rangers' Nash Scores Yet Another Goal

News: Rick Nash found the back of the net for a fourth consecutive game Thursday, scoring his team's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to the Blues.
Analysis: Rick Nash has six goals in the last four games, after netting 11 goals through his first 32 contests of the season. He's arguably the hottest player in the league, though his recent play probably doesn't carry much long term significance, as he's long been known as one of the better goal scorers in the NHL.

Another Two Goals For Rangers' Nash

News: Rick Nash staked the Rangers to a 2-0 lead with a pair of first-period goals Tuesday, but they didn't stand up in an eventual 5-3 loss to the Isles.
Analysis: Rick Nash had a few more quality scoring chances, but got impressively robbed by opposing netminder Kevin Poulin more than once. With five goals in his last three games and nine goals in his last nine games, Nash is as hot as they come right now.

Rangers' Nash Lights The Lamp Twice

News: Rick Nash scored two goals against the Capitals on Sunday. One was a power-play tally, and one was the game-winner.
Analysis: Rick Nash has scored a game-winning goal in back-to-back games, giving him six on the season. He has 14 goals in 34 games played.

Rangers' Nash Ends Minor Slump

News: Rick Nash had his 12th goal of the season in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
Analysis: The score came in the second period on a pass from Derek Stepan, with Rick Nash driving the shot off the crossbar and in to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead. Nash had gone pointless in the previous two games, so the goal at least prevented the forward from falling into a deeper slump.

Nash Grabs Game-Winner For Rangers

News: Rick Nash scored his third goal in three games, registering the game-winning tally in Friday's victory over Dallas.
Analysis: There are few players in the league more scrutinized than Rick Nash when he is not producing, but the star power forward has been active of late with three goals in the last two games. When he's on his game, few in the league can be more dominant than Nash.

Blue Jackets' Nash Lights The Lamp Twice

News: Rick Nash scored two power-play goals Monday against the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: Rick Nash has dealt with injury this year, but it still has to be disappointing that he only has nine goals and 18 points in 27 games.

Nash On New York Scoresheet Again

News: Rick Nash assisted on the Rangers' only goal in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over Florida, giving him a point in each of the last two games.
Analysis: Rick Nash has been one of the more disappointing players of the current campaign, missing time due to injury and a lack of production. He's too talented of a player to stay this quiet, but he's off to a good start as the calendar year closes.
