Friday's Game Postponed For Rangers, Nash

News: Rick Nash and the Rangers had their scheduled game Friday against the Sabres postponed due to the extreme weather conditions in the Buffalo area, Andrew Gross of the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: With some parts of the region receiving up to six feet of snow this week, traveling to Buffalo would have proven quite treacherous for the Rangers had the game been played as scheduled. No make-up date has been announced yet for the game, but expect Rick Nash to be in the lineup for the Rangers' next contest Sunday versus Montreal.

Rangers' Nash Scores Again Wednesday

News: Rick Nash scored a goal in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Flyers.
Analysis: The winger continued his blazing hot start to the season Wednesday, as he picked up his 13th goal and 20th point of the season in just his 19th game. His 13 goals rank second in the entire NHL, and make him an elite fantasy player moving forward.

Rangers' Nash Tallies League-Leading 12th Goal

News: Rick Nash scored a shorthanded goal -- his league-leading 12th of the season -- and dished out a pair of assists in Tuesday's 5-0 rout of the Penguins.
Analysis: Rick Nash entered the night tied with the inactive Corey Perry in goals at 11, and he ended it tied with Tyler Seguin at 12 after Seguin scored two goals Tuesday. One of Nash's assists came on the power play. All in all, it's been a sparkling start for the big winger, who in 15 games is already nearly halfway to the 26 goals and 39 points he recorded all of last season.

Rangers' Nash Tied For League Lead In Goals

News: Rick Nash potted his 11th goal of the season in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Analysis: With the Ducks idle Saturday, Rick Nash's marker vaulted him into a tie with Corey Perry for the league lead in goals. The winger has supplied a point in three straight games and has bounced back swiftly from a 2013-14 campaign that mostly qualified as a disappointment.

Rangers' Nash Scores Ninth In Win

News: Rick Nash scored his ninth goal of the season and added an assist in Monday's 5-4 home win over the Wild. He also added three hits and three shots on net.
Analysis: Another game, another goal for the 2002 first-overall pick. Imagine if he could have produced like this in last year's playoffs? The Rangers could very well be defending a Stanley Cup championship right now. At any rate, with nine goals and two assists in nine games this year, Rick Nash is looking like his old studly self again. However, not to spoil the party -- but be mindful that his shooting percentage currently sits at 31 percent, which will be impossible to sustain, especially since his career average is 12.6 percent.

Rangers' Nash Builds On NHL Goal Lead

News: Rick Nash scored his league-leading eighth goal in Tuesday's overtime win over the Devils.
Analysis: Rick Nash has raced out to a torrid start to his 2014-15 season, tallying three more goals than any other player in the NHL. The winger drew a lot of heat for his disappearing act in the Rangers' run to the Stanley Cup last season, but his hot start through the team's first seven games has helped him quiet his critics.

Rangers' Nash Set To Play Tuesday

News: Rick Nash (personal) was back on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate and appears set to play against the Islanders, The Record reports.
Analysis: Rick Nash left Sunday's game against the Maple Leafs after his wife went into labor with the couple's first child. He took Monday off to be with his family, but he should be well rested for his return to action Tuesday night. After an up-and-down 2013-14 campaign, Nash has opened the new season with a flourish. He's currently tied for the league lead with four goals in three games.

Rangers' Nash Scores Two More

News: Rick Nash was essentially the Rangers' lone bright spot Tuesday, scoring two goals in a 6-3 loss to the Islanders.
Analysis: The Rangers have struggled out of the gate, but Rick Nash certainly has not -- through four games, he's potted six of the team's 11 goals and leads the NHL in that category. That's one heck of a way to bounce back from a disappointing playoffs -- now the rest of the Rangers need to wake up and join him.

Rangers' Nash Leaves Game

News: Rick Nash left Sunday's game to be with his wife, who is expected to have the couple's child, the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Prior to exiting, Rick Nash had one goal in 11:40 of ice time, continuing his torrid start to the new season. Consider him day-to-day until further notice, and be sure to check back on his status in advance of Tuesday's game against the Islanders.

Rangers' Nash Appears Set To Play Sunday

News: Rick Nash (personal) is skating in warmups prior to Sunday night's game, a seeming indication that he will be in the lineup, reports NHL.com's Dan Rosen.
Analysis: Rick Nash's status for the game was in question, as he and his wife are expecting a child, but apparently it's not quite time yet. That's good for the Rangers, as Nash is off to a hot start to the year, having compiled three goals and an assist in the season's first two games.

Rangers' Nash Could Be Out Due To Birth Sunday

News: Rick Nash is considered a game-time decision Sunday due to the possible birth of a child, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Analysis: Rick Nash's wife is going into labor, but might not give birth until Monday, according to coach Alain Vigneault. His status should become clear as the team takes the ice for warmups.

Rangers' Nash Strikes Twice In Opener

News: Rick Nash scored the opening goal, assisted on Chris Kreider's breakaway tally, then scored the game-winner late in the third period Thursday in the season opener against the Blues.
Analysis: Well, good morning, Rick. That's one hell of a wakeup call to fantasy owners and Rangers fans, who suffered through the second-worst season of Rick Nash's career last year. He worked awfully well with Kreider and Martin St. Louis on Thursday -- a promising development for a Rangers team that needs consistent top-line scoring.

Rangers' Nash Receives Maintenance Day

News: Rick Nash received a maintenance day and did not take part in Tuesday's practice, Newsday's Steve Zipay reports.
Analysis: Rick Nash does not appear in any danger of missing the Rangers' season opener, but he may not be 100 percent healthy heading into the regular season, which is not exactly the news fantasy owners wanted to hear after Nash played in just 65 games and averaged a career-low 17:01 TOI last season.

Rangers' Nash Struggles In Preseason

News: Rick Nash finished the preseason with no goals and just one assist in three games played.
Analysis: Rick Nash had a down year in 2013-14, with his shaky health perhaps bearing the most responsibility for his worst offensive output in a non-lockout year since his rookie season with Columbus. While we shouldn't read much into preseason production, Nash is clearly a player with something to prove as he prepares for his third season in New York. For now, he is slotted to skate on the Rangers' first line with Derick Brassard and Chris Kreider, but with the possibility of Martin St. Louis playing center and Anthony Duclair making the final roster, coach Alain Vigneault could choose to shake up his top six at some point.

Rangers' Nash: No Points, But Excellent Game

News: Rick Nash didn't pick up a point in Game 2 against the Kings on Saturday night, but it was perhaps his best game of the playoffs so far. He fired eight shots, laid five hits and drove the net hard on multiple opportunities.
Analysis: Rick Nash's reputation seems to have taken a hit this postseason, but he sure looked good Saturday night -- he just didn't record a point. They should come. He can't scuffle too much longer.

Rangers' Nash Contributes Two Points

News: Rick Nash scored a goal and added an assist in Tuesday's Game 5 loss to the Canadiens.
Analysis: Rick Nash's (admittedly fluky) goal sparked the Rangers' second-period rally from a 4-1 deficit to tie the game at 4-4, but they ended up falling short. Still, Nash has had a solid series against Montreal, now that he's finally gotten the monkey off his back. He's chipped in five points in five games.

Rangers' Nash Finally Finding Scoring Touch

News: Rick Nash scored the game-winning goal against the Canadiens in Monday's Game 2.
Analysis: After not scoring any goals in New York's first two series, Rick Nash has a goal in back-to-back games to open the Eastern Conference Finals. He's played well defensively throughout the playoffs while generating plentiful opportunities, and now he's starting to be rewarded.

Rangers' Nash Finally Gets Goal

News: Rick Nash scored his first goal of the playoffs Saturday in a 7-2 win over Montreal. He also added an assist.
Analysis: It took 15 games for him to light the lamp, but maybe this is just what he needed to get his offensive game back on track.

Rangers Triumph Over Pens Despite Silent Nash

News: Rick Nash went scoreless again in Tuesday's Game 7 win over Pittsburgh, putting just one shot on goal.
Analysis: How snakebit is Rick Nash? He had an empty-net chance in the final minute blocked by a desperate Penguin. The highly paid forward is still without a goal in 14 playoff games this year, though he still leads the league with 52 postseason shots on goal and has collected five assists. Things are only gonna get tougher going forward, so the Rangers really need him to start contributing.

Rangers' Nash Earning Back Fans?

News: Rick Nash was shutout again on two shots in a Game 6, 3-1 win over the Penguins on Sunday.
Analysis: After putting an end to his eight game point drought, Rick Nash is back off the wagon. Though one good side is the four hits he collected and even the extra critical home crowd cheered him for the effort during Pittsburgh's final dash in the third period.

Rangers' Nash to Continue Slump?

News: Rick Nash was locked out of the scorer's sheet in a Game 7 victory over Philadelphia.
Analysis: After registering four assists in the first three games of the series, the Rangers talented first-line forward was blanked in the final four games of the series. More concerning is his less-than-thrilling 12 points (seven goal) in 18 career games against the team's next round opponent, Pittsburgh.

Rangers' Nash Consistently Finding Score Sheet

News: Rick Nash contributed two assists and went plus-2 in a 4-1 Game 3 victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Analysis: With four assists in three postseason games thus far, Rick Nash is contributing consistently. The 2002 No. 1 pick still has a relatively meager 12 points in 19 career playoff games, but he's been quite active offensively so far in the opening round.

Nash Chips In Assist In Rangers' Game 2 Loss

News: Rick Nash had an assist in Sunday's Game 2 loss to Philadelphia.
Analysis: That's two points in two post-season games for the talented winger. If the Rangers are going to go deep into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Rick Nash will certainly need to increase his totals of two goals and eight through 18 career playoff games.

Rangers' Nash Sets New Career High

News: Rick Nash scored the game-winning goal with under two minutes remaining in the third period of Thursday's 2-1 win over Buffalo.
Analysis: Rick Nash's 26th goal of the season couldn't have come at a better time and even snaps a personal three-game scoring drought. Despite one of the nost pedestrian offensive seasons in quite some time, by finding the back of the net, he sets a new career high with his ninth game-winning goal of the season.

Rangers' Nash Reaches 25 Goals

News: Rick Nash collected two goals and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Oilers.
Analysis: That's a nice little three-game monkey off Rick Nashy's back. It also marks the veteran's ninth career 25-goal season. However, add in his paltry season total of 12 assists for 37 points through 59 games played, and most fantasy owners are probably feeling a bit let down.
