Bruins Won't Re-Sign Paille

News: The Bruins don't plan to re-sign Daniel Paille, CSN New England reports.
Analysis: Daniel Paille, who finished the 2014-15 season with six goals and seven assists to go along with a minus-9 rating in 71 games for the Bruins, is thus on the way out, as well as frequent linemate Gregory Campbell, which ensures that the Bruins will have a new-look fourth line next season. Though Paille isn't much of a scorer, he does bring speed and penalty killing ability to the table, so he should catch on elsewhere in free agency as a depth forward.

Bruins' Paille Sits Again

News: Daniel Paille was a healthy scratch for the Bruins' final nine games of the 2014-15 season, the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis: Daniel Paille, who finished the season with six goals and seven assists in 71 games, is slated to hit free agency this offseason, and while his wheels and penalty-killing ability have helped the B's in the past, there's a solid chance he'll be playing elsewhere next season.

Bruins' Paille Sits Sunday

News: Daniel Paille was a healthy scratch Sunday against the Hurricanes.
Analysis: With David Krejci back in the B's lineup, Daniel Paille has been the odd man out up front of late, and it might take another injury to a forward to get Paille back into the mix.

Bruins' Paille Ends Drought With Goal

News: Daniel Paille notched his sixth goal of the season in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Lightning.
Analysis: Daniel Paille was on a solid stretch with four goals in six games at the beginning of the month, but went dry after that as Sunday's goal ended a seven game stretch without a point. The 30-year-old's recent level of play is more indicative of what to expect out of the winger, as he's tallied just 13 points in 71 games, restricting his fantasy value in nearly all formats.

Bruins' Paille Scores Twice In Win

News: Daniel Paille potted two goals -- one shorthanded -- in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Red Wings.
Analysis: The multi-goal effort was Daniel Paille's best performance of the season, as he also finished with a plus-2 rating and was credited with the game-winning goal. The 30-year-old is on a solid scoring stretch, notching four goals on just 11 shots in his last six contests. Despite the hot streak, Paille has just 12 points (five goals) all season, so his fantasy value lies in the deepest formats.

Bruins' Paille Notches Tally

News: Daniel Paille scored the Bruins' only goal in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Canucks.
Analysis: Daniel Paille rejoined the B's lineup Tuesday after being a healthy scratch for the team's previous two games. With injuries to the likes of fellow forwards David Krejci and Gregory Campbell, look for Paille's lineup spot to be solidified moving forward. That said, with just two goals and nine points in 58 contests overall, he's off the fantasy radar in most formats.

Bruins' Paille Skates On Third Line

News: Daniel Paille skated with Carl Soderberg and Loui Eriksson during Tuesday's morning skate.
Analysis: With Gregory Campbell out for at least a week, the Bruins have shuffled their lines again, so it looks like Daniel Paille (a healthy scratch the last two games) will draw into Tuesday's lineup against the Canucks.

Bruins' Paille Takes A Seat Sunday

News: Daniel Paille was a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against Chicago, the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Though Daniel Paille's wheels and penalty killing have been assets to the Bruins in the past, he's recorded just one goal and eight points in 57 games this season, while recording a minus-10 mark in the process. The winger should find his way back into the B's lineup in time, but he's off the fantasy radar for now.

Bruins' Paille Set To Fill In For Marchand

News: Daniel Paille skated on the Bruins' second line with Patrice Bergeron and Reilly Smith during Friday's practice, the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis: It's an assignment Daniel Paille figures to hold on to for the Bruins' next two games, with fellow left winger Brad Marchand set to serve a suspension during that span. Paille has just one goal and eight points in 45 games to date, but a move up to Bergeron's line could provide him with a bit of a bump in his short-term fantasy prospects.

Bruins' Paille Returns To Ice

News: Daniel Paille (illness) returned to practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Daniel Paille -- who has notched assists in three of his last four games -- is thus on track to man left wing on the Bruins' fourth line Thursday against Chicago.

Bruins' Paille Misses Practices

News: Daniel Paille (illness) missed practice Tuesday.
Analysis: Overall, Daniel Paille has just one goal and six points in 28 games to date, which keeps him off the fantasy radar in most cases, but he has picked up the pace a bit of late, with three helpers over his last four outings.

Boston's Paille Scores First Goal

News: Daniel Paille notched his first goal of the season in Friday's shootout win over the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: As a fourth-line forward who isn't a prolific hitter or scorer, Daniel Paille's fantasy utility remains extremely limited. He'll probably need to climb to a top-six role before becoming an interesting commodity, something that doesn't seem on track to happen this season.

Bruins' Paille Could Move Up

News: Heading into the coming season, Daniel Paille's role with the Bruins has yet to be defined, the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: While it's possible that Daniel Paille could remain on the Bruins' fourth line -- centered by Gregory Campbell -- the configuration of the team's third line hasn't been determined yet, with the speedy Paille a candidate to move up to that trio. In such a scenario, Paille -- who had 18 points in 72 games last season -- would be in a position to see increased production, and thus potentially merit attention in deeper formats.

Paille Returns To Bruins' Lineup

News: Daniel Paille (upper body) saw 16:27 worth of ice time in his return to action in Thursday's second-round series opener against the Canadiens.
Analysis: As the game progressed, Daniel Paille -- who had last suited up on April 12 -- saw some work on the B's third line. It remains to be seen if that trend continues, but in any case, Paille's speed is an asset to the Bruins, especially against a quick team like the Habs. Though Paille saw just 16 seconds of shorthanded work Thursday, look for him to contribute more in that area as the series moves on.

Bruins' Paille Ready To Play

News: Daniel Paille (upper body) said he's been cleared to play and is awaiting coach Claude Julien's decision as to whether he'll be in the lineup for Thursday's Game 1, Marc Antoine Godin of the Montreal Press reports.
Analysis: Daniel Paille received clearance to practice a week ago, and it now looks like he's ready to go after getting a few days of contact work. At Thursday's morning skate, Paille was working on the second line in place of Brad Marchand, who was absent for an unspecified reason. If Marchand is cleared to play Thursday, Paille will either be bumped to fourth-line duty or head to the press box as a healthy scratch.

Bruins' Paille Set To Return

News: Coach Claude Julien indicated that Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) will be ready for the second round of the playoffs.
Analysis: Daniel Paille evidently responded well to the full contact work he saw at practice Tuesday, so barring any setbacks, it looks like he'll be back to face the Habs, presumably occupying his normal spot on the Bruins' fourth line while also seeing penalty-killing action.

Bruins' Paille Progressing

News: Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) participated in contact drills at Tuesday's practice, CSN New England reports.
Analysis: Daniel Paille missed the Bruins' first-round playoff series against Detroit with an upper-body injury that the report suggests is believed to be a concussion. That Paille is able to take contact at this stage bodes well for his chances of returning to action in the second round of the playoffs against Montreal, barring any setbacks.

Bruins' Paille Practices

News: Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) practiced Tuesday.
Analysis: With Brad Marchand not on the ice Tuesday, Daniel Paille skated with Patrice Bergeron and Reilly Smith. While Paille's status for the second round of the playoffs has yet to be clarified, his presence at Tuesday's practice is nonetheless a positive indicator on that front.

Bruins' Paille Skates On Saturday

News: Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) participated in the Bruins' morning skate Saturday, the Worcester Telegram reports.
Analysis: While Daniel Paille did not suit up for Saturday's series-clinching win over the Red Wings, he appears to be inching toward a return as the Bruins' second-round series against Montreal approaches.

Bruins' Paille Making Progress

News: Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) has been cleared to practice and take light contact, NHL.com's Dan Rosen reports.
Analysis: That said, coach Claude Julien noted that Daniel Paille won't play Thursday against the Red Wings, while adding that the forward is "inching toward the right side" at this stage. With Chris Kelly still banged up, Justin Florek and Jordan Caron are in line to remain in the team's lineup Thursday night.

Bruins' Paille Not Cleared Yet

News: Though Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) is skating, he hasn't been cleared to play yet, NHL.com's Dan Rosen reports.
Analysis: Daniel Paille -- who last suited up on April 12 -- thus remains in the day-to-day category as Thursday's Game 4 against the Red Wings approaches.

Bruins' Paille Remains Sidelined

News: Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) was not present for the Bruins' Tuesday morning skate.
Analysis: Nor was fellow forward Chris Kelly, meaning that Justin Florek and Jordan Caron are in line to remain in the Bruins' lineup for Tuesday's Game 3 against the Red Wings.

Bruins' Paille Still Day-To-Day

News: Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) participated in Monday's optional skate, the Bruins' official site reports.
Analysis: Daniel Paille, who remains in the day-to-day category, appears closer to a return to action than fellow forward Chris Kelly, but the speedy winger is still looking iffy for Tuesday's Game 3 against the Red Wings.

Bruins' Paille Remains Out

News: Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) will not play Sunday against the Red Wings, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Neither will fellow forward Chris Kelly, which paves the way for Justin Florek and Jordan Caron to remain in the Bruins' mix up front for Sunday's Game 2 against Detroit.

Bruins' Paille Skates On Saturday

News: Daniel Paille (undisclosed injury) skated for the second straight day Saturday, the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis: Given that Daniel Paille skated with Dennis Seidenberg and Adam McQuaid -- who both are still in injury rehab mode -- it doesn't seem likely that the winger will suit up for Sunday's playoff game against the Red Wings.
