Devils' Cammalleri Scores Lone Goal In Win

News: Mike Cammalleri netted the only goal of the game Friday against Washington.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri is heating up, netting two goals and four points in his last three games. He is up to seven goals and 11 points in 11 games this season and is proving to be a nice fit in New Jersey. The 32-year-old, who has tallied an impressive three game-winning goals this season, can produce at somewhat close to a point-per-game pace when he is healthy. That last part is key, as he can't seem to avoid the injury bug. Ride him while he's healthy and playing well.

Devils' Cammalleri Sets Up Two Goals

News: Mike Cammalleri produced in his first game back from a neck injury, setting up both of New Jersey's goals in a 4-2 loss to Boston on Monday.
Analysis: In addition to the pair of assists, he also fired three shots on goal and went 5-2 in the face-off circle. Mike Cammalleri is up to an even point-per-game pace this season (nine in nine), and although he won't sustain that, he figures to be a solid fantasy contributor as long as he avoids injury.

Devils' Cammalleri Will Play Monday

News: Mike Cammalleri (neck) will play Monday against the Bruins, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri hasn't been in the lineup since Oct. 25. With five goals and two assists in eight games, Cammalleri certainly holds significant fantasy value if he can stay healthy.

Devils' Cammalleri Could Play Monday

News: Mike Cammalleri (neck) is a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Bruins, Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reports.

Devils' Cammalleri (Neck) Practicing Sunday

News: Mike Cammalleri took the ice for practice Sunday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri didn't travel with the Devils on the their two-game road trip last week, but has returned to the ice and appears to be nearing a return. Though it's unclear if he's been given medical clearance, his upcoming opportunities to return include a trip to Boston on Monday followed by a home game against the Wild on Tuesday.

Devils' Cammalleri Out For Two-Game Road Trip

News: Mike Cammalleri (neck) has resumed skating, but won't receive clearance to play during the Devils' upcoming games in St. Louis and Detroit, Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: While it's encouraging that Mike Cammalleri is back on the ice in some capacity, the Devils likely want to have him get in a full practice or two before using him in their lineup. Cammalleri has been out since Oct. 25 due to neck discomfort, but still leads the team with five goals. If he's able to squeeze in a practice over the weekend, he could be an option for coach Pete DeBoer during Monday's game with the Bruins.

Devils' Cammalleri Out Again Tuesday

News: Mike Cammalleri (neck) will not play Tuesday against the Blues, Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Though Mike Cammalleri reported improvement with his condition a day earlier, he has yet to resume skating since suffering the injury last week. It will be difficult to gauge when the veteran forward might return until he resumes practicing.

Devils' Cammalleri Doubtful For Saturday

News: Mike Cammalleri (neck) is considered doubtful to play Saturday against the Blue Jackets, Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri remained off the ice again at Friday's practice while dealing with a jaw and neck issue, and changes appear slim that he'd be able to make a full recovery before Saturday's game. Ryane Clowe is expected to take his spot on the top line Saturday.

Devils' Cammalleri Likely Out Thursday

News: Mike Cammalleri (neck) is unlikely to play in Thursday's game against the Jets, The Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri did not take part in the Devils' morning skate, so it seems likely he will sit out again Thursday night. Cammalleri is reportedly dealing only with soreness and not a more serious injury, so it's possible he could return for the Devils' next game Saturday.

Broken Jaw Ruled Out For Jersey's Cammalleri

News: General manager Lou Lamoriello said Mike Cammalleri is not dealing with a broken jaw, but could be experiencing some neck discomfort, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri was sent in for X-rays for further clarity on the matter and didn't join the team in Pittsburgh for Tuesday's game. The winger took an elbow to the jaw in Friday's game against the Stars, but remained in the contest the rest of the way and also played in Ottawa on Saturday. The Devils believe his injury is just a day-to-day situation, perhaps making him an option for Thursday's tilt with the Jets.

Devils' Cammalleri Out Tuesday

News: Mike Cammalleri (jaw) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Penguins, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri was able to play in the Devils' last game Saturday after taking an elbow to the jaw the night before, but it appears he is feeling soreness Tuesday, or his injury is worse than initially observed. Cammalleri got off to a hot start this season, but he did not record a point and only took four shots on goal over his last three games.

Devils' Cammalleri Day-To-Day

News: Mike Cammalleri is day-to-day with a jaw injury.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri took an elbow to the jaw against the Stars, and will undergo further tests Monday. He's being listed as day-to-day for now, but could miss more time if his jaw is broken.

Cammalleri Having Devil Of A Time, Scoring Lots

News: Mike Cammalleri scored a goal in Saturday's loss to the Sharks. He now has five snipes in five games.
Analysis: He's loving every minute of life with New Jersey and actually has five goals and two assists. This output is completely unsustainable, but remember, he did score 26 in just 63 games last season. See if there's an owner who might overpay.

Devils' Cammalleri Scores Again

News: Mike Cammalleri scored his fourth goal in three games and added his first assist of the year Tuesday against the Lightning.
Analysis: The goal was the game-winner, and it came on a power play in the latter half of the third period. Mike Cammalleri is off to a white-hot start with the Devils, playing a huge part in the team's surprising early-season offensive production.

Two-Goal Devils Debut For Cammalleri

News: Mike Cammalleri scored a pair of goals on seven shots in his Devils debut Thursday, a 6-4 win over the Flyers.
Analysis: The second one was an empty-netter, but this was still a tremendously strong start for Mike Cammalleri, who gelled well with Jaromir Jagr on the Devils' top line. A two-time 80-point scorer, Cammalleri saw his game and his stats decline over his two-plus seasons in Calgary, but perhaps the change of scenery will spark him to a comeback year. Don't get too excited, as he's always an injury risk, but quietly look into Cammalleri's availability.

Cammalleri Seeing Time On Devils' Top Line

News: Mike Cammalleri has been playing left wing on the team's top line alongside Travis Zajac and Jaromir Jagr, the Bergen Record's Tom Gulitti reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri will be expected to challenge the 30-goal plateau and could have a decent shot if he is able to develop chemistry with Zajac and Jagr. The veteran sniper can also play center, but the Devils are starting him off on the wing where he will be expected to shoot often. Cammalleri had 26 goals in 63 games last year for Calgary, a season that saw him battle various nagging injuries.

Cammalleri Signs With New Jersey

News: Mike Cammalleri has signed a five-year, $25 million contract with New Jersey, the Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri, who tallied 26 goals and 45 points in 63 games for the Flames this past season, was targeted by the Devils at the NHL trade deadline, but a deal never materialized. The 32-year-old forward will provide his new team with valuable experience and some scoring punch up front.

News: Mike Cammalleri (face) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Canucks, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri, who took a stick to the face in Wednesday's game, sat out Friday's contest, but it looks like he might be able to suit up for the Flames in Sunday's season finale.

News: Mike Cammalleri (face) is out for Friday's game against the Jets.

Calgary's Cammalleri Questionable For Friday

News: Mike Cammalleri took a stick to the face in Wednesday's game against the Kings and is uncertain to play Friday against the Jets, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri stayed in the game despite suffering a cut on his face, but was kept off the ice for Thursday's practice. The Flames figure to announce a decision on his status following Friday's morning skate.

Calgary's Cammalleri Scores Again

News: Mike Cammalleri potted the game-winning goal in Friday's 2-1 victory over Florida, his second goal in as many games.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri has been on a tear since Deadline Day when he was not traded from Calgary. He's playing for a new contract, so there's incentive for him, but the Flames as a whole have been enjoying unexpected success as they play out the string. Look for Cammalleri to be a part of whatever offense Calgary can muster.

Flames' Cammalleri Racking Up Points

News: Mike Cammalleri scored a goal, added an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's victory over Tampa Bay.
Analysis: Dating back to March 10, Mike Cammalleri has 18 points in his last 13 games. So that's pretty good. He's also bringing the ol' plus-minus up, having gone plus-11 in his last 11 contests, though he still owns an ugly minus-14 on the year.

Flames' Cammalleri Scores Game-Winner Friday

News: Mike Cammalleri scored the game-winning goal and assisted on another during the Flames' 4-3 win over the Rangers on Friday.
Analysis: Mike Cammalleri now has four goals and four assists over his last five games and is enjoying his most productive season since 2010-11 when he was with the Canadiens. His 24 goals are the most he's scored in five seasons but it hasn't been enough to push the Flames towards the playoffs.
