Ducks' Kesler Shines Again

News: Ryan Kesler netted two goals in Wednesday's 5-2 Game 4 win in Winnipeg.
Analysis: After not hitting the scoresheet in Game 1, Ryan Kesler recorded points in the next three games of the Ducks' first round series with the Jets. Kesler is doing exactly what he was brought in by Anaheim to do -- providing some very welcome secondary scoring when it matters most. He has five points in the playoffs thus far.

Kesler Adds Two Points for Ducks In Game 3 Win

News: Ryan Kesler contributed a goal and an assist to his team's Game 3 win over the Jets on Monday.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler also picked up a penalty for Roughing, further aiding fantasy owners in playoff pools that have time spent in the Sin Bin as a scoring category. The 30-year-old center has three points in as many playoff games after logging 20 goals and 27 assists in the regular season.

Ducks' Kesler Back In Friday

News: Ryan Kesler (elbow) will return to the lineup Friday against the Avalanche, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler sat out Wednesday's triumph over the Oilers, but his absence seemed to be rest-related more so than out of concern about the health of his elbow. He'll slide back in as a member of the Ducks' second line, where he's expected to center Tomas Fleischmann and Kyle Palmieri.

Ducks' Kesler Expected Back Friday

News: Coach Bruce Boudreau said that he expects Ryan Kesler (elbow) to return to the lineup Friday against the Avalanche, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler missed his first game of the season Wednesday against the Oilers while nursing the elbow injury, but his absence was believed to be for precautionary purposes more than anything else. Barring any sort of setback during Friday's morning skate, expect Kesler to reclaim his usual spot on the Ducks' second line.

Ducks' Kesler A Game-Time Decision

News: Ryan Kesler (elbow) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's tilt with the Oilers.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler was on the ice for Wednesday's morning skate, but coach Bruce Boudreau was tight-lipped about the center's status for the evening. Given that the Oilers are one of the NHL's weakest teams, it might make sense for the Ducks to give Kesler the night off to preserve his body for the playoffs. An official decision on his status should come down based on how the Ducks line up during pregame warmups.

Ducks' Kesler (Elbow) Out Wednesday

News: Ryan Kesler (elbow) will not play Wednesday against the Oilers, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler made it on the ice for morning skate, but was still deemed a game-time decision for the evening contest. Despite sitting out, he seems likely to return Friday against the Avalanche.

Ducks' Kesler Gets Maintenance Day

News: Ryan Kesler's (elbow) absence from practice Tuesday was described as a maintenance day, according to NHL.com's Curtis Zupke.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler was sporting a wrap on his right elbow Tuesday, but at this stage it looks like the forward should be available for Wednesday's game against the Oilers. We'll let you know if that assessment changes, however.

Ducks' Kesler Misses Practice

News: Ryan Kesler, who was sporting a wrap on his right elbow, did not skate at practice Tuesday, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: Per the Orange County Register, Ryan Kesler's arm absorbed a Francois Beauchemin shot on Sunday, but the forward didn't seem too bothered by the issue afterward, so Tuesday's absence could turn out to be maintenance-related.

Ducks' Kesler Records Another 20-Goal Season

News: Ryan Kesler tipped home teammate James Wisniewski's point shot past former teammate Cory Schnieder in the first period of Sunday's tilt with the Devils.
Analysis: The goal marks 20 on the season for the American, a feat he has achieved seven times now in his career. While his days of 30-goal and 70-point seasons are likely behind him for good, Ryan Kesler still provides a solid fantasy option.

Kesler Nets OT Winner For Ducks

News: Ryan Kesler scored the sudden death winner for his team Wednesday against the Kings.
Analysis: The goal was his first in seven games, but he has been fairly productive in March after struggling mightily through most of February. You can certainly do better than Ryan Kesler up the middle, but you can also do a lot worse.

Two Helpers For Ducks' Kesler

News: Ryan Kesler set up both Anaheim goals Friday in a 2-1 win over the Wild. He was also a plus-2 and fired three shots on goal.
Analysis: This was a nice bounce-back for the veteran center after his dreadful minus-3 performance one game prior against the Flames. Ryan Kesler has been somewhat inconsistent this year, but at the end of the day, 17 goals, 44 points, 68 PIM and 183 SOG through 70 games are nothing to shake a stick at -- especially since he managed just 43 points and a minus-15 rating in 77 contests last year with Vancouver.

Ducks' Kesler Records Assist In Win

News: Ryan Kesler recorded an assist on Cam Fowler's empty-netter Wednesday night against the Habs.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler now has points in three of his last four games, so it looks like he's worked himself out of the slump that plagued him for much of February. It's probably time to start rolling him back into your lineup.

Ducks' Kesler Back On The Scoresheet

News: Ryan Kesler recorded a goal and an assist in the third period of Anaheim's comeback win over the Kings.
Analysis: The points must be a massive relief for the American, who had been riding a nine-game drought. Ryan Kesler has fantastic peripherals this season (170 SOGs, 62 PIMs, 19:47 ATOI), making him a solid option in more in-depth leagues.

Ducks' Kesler Continues To Struggle

News: Ryan Kesler failed to record a point in Monday's win over the Red Wings.
Analysis: This is Ryan Kesler's eighth straight game without a point now, his longest such slide of the season. Considering that Kesler was brought in to help out the Ducks' secondary scoring behind Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf, his numbers have been a little disappointing at times. He has only recorded three goals and seven assists in 22 games in 2015. His scoring should pick-up in the near future, but it might be a good idea to wait until he gets out of his slump before rolling him back into your lineup.

Ducks' Kesler Nets PPG In Loss

News: Ryan Kesler scored a power-play goal and had an assist in Friday's loss to the Capitals.
Analysis: The second-line center now has two goals and five points in his last three games, giving him 15 goals and 37 points in 53 games on the season. He's showing some consistency of late, appearing on the scoresheet in six of his last seven outings. He's fitting in great with the Ducks, so keep him rolling.

Kesler's Two Points Help Ducks To Victory

News: Ryan Kesler scored a power-play goal and assisted on Corey Perry's late game-tying tally Tuesday in an overtime win against Carolina.
Analysis: Sharp work from Ryan Kesler, who's got five points in five games since snapping a six-game scoreless skid. His shooting percentage remains rather low by his standards, so it's reasonable to expect a slight uptick in Kesler's goal-scoring down the stretch; with a nice hot streak, he could still make a run at 30 goals.

Ducks' Kesler Snaps Streak With Empty-Netter

News: Ryan Kesler tallied an empty-net goal in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Flames.
Analysis: Although the goal came on his only shot of the game and was something of a cheapie, Ryan Kesler is surely happy to take the point anyway he can get it. He had been held off the score sheet entirely over the previous six games, and hadn't found twine since a Dec. 22 win over the Sharks. Coach Bruce Boudreau may revisit tinkering with Kesler's linemates in the second half in order to spark the 30-year-old's production.

Kesler's Two Assists Paces Ducks In Win

News: Ryan Kesler notched two assists in a 4-3 win over the Blues on Friday.
Analysis: It was Ryan Kesler's first two points in three games, giving him 29 points in 40 games this season. The 30-year-old center is on pace for yet another 20-goal season and provides owners with excellent value in other areas with his ability to win draws. He's playing second fiddle behind Ryan Getzlaf but still a valuable fantasy asset.

Ducks' Kesler Scores OT Winner

News: Ryan Kesler ended Monday's game against the Sharks in style, potting the game-winner in overtime to lift the Ducks to a 3-2 victory.
Analysis: That's the 12th goal of the season and third game-winner for Ryan Kesler, who's up to 27 points, 38 PIM and 109 SOG with his new club this year. He's been particularly hot in the month of December, racking up nine points over his last nine games to help carry the Ducks while Corey Perry (knee) has been sidelined.

Ducks' Kesler Tallies Two Points In Loss

News: Ryan Kesler scored one of the Ducks' goals and notched a shorthanded assist on the other in Tuesday's loss to Toronto.
Analysis: Unfortunately for Ryan Kesler and the Ducks, his offensive contributions were lost amid a flurry of Leafs offense. Nonetheless, the 30-year-old center remains hot, having ripped off eight points (five goals, three assists) and a plus-4 rating over his last six games. After last season's 43-point disappointment, he's playing his way back into the circle of fantasy trust.

Ducks' Kesler Scores In Third Straight Game

News: Ryan Kesler found twine for the third straight game Wednesday, notching the game winner in a 2-1 victory over the visiting Oilers.
Analysis: One of the league's best second-line centermen, Ryan Kesler has been a great fantasy commodity with his new team, recording 10 goals, 13 assists, 36 PIM and 68 SOG in 30 games thus far. With Corey Perry (knee) out for nearly a month, the former Canuck will be counted on for continued production with the first-place Ducks.

Ducks' Kesler Nets Three Points In Win

News: Ryan Kesler scored a pair of goals and added an assist in Friday's win over Minnesota.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler continues to show he can dominate a game, as this is the third time this season he has put up three points in one night. The 30-year-old now has 21 points (eight goals) in 28 games, to go with a minus-3 rating. He has been a great fit in Anaheim and should be in your lineup every night the Ducks are in action.

Ducks' Kesler Stays Hot Saturday

News: Ryan Kesler potted his sixth goal of the season in Saturday's loss to the Kings.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler seems to be settling in quite well in his role as the Ducks' second-line center and power play maestro, as he's collected three goals and four assists over six November contests. He should continue to see lesser competition while the Ryan Getzlaf line commands most of the attention from opposing defenses, which should allow him to easily surpass last season's disappointing output of 43 points in 77 games.

Ducks' Kesler Grabs Trio of Points

News: Ryan Kesler potted his fifth goal of the season and grabbed a pair of assists in Wednesday's 6-5 shootout win over the visiting Kings.
Analysis: The former Canuck is en fuego right now, having posted six points over a four-game point streak. Ryan Kesler has been as advertised for the Ducks thus far, providing solid secondary scoring (14 points in 17 games) up the middle behind superstar center Ryan Getzlaf. Owners have also enjoyed his 21 PIM and 50 shots, numbers that are sure to maintain his fantasy value even when he slips into an inevitable scoring drought.

Kesler Chips In Assist For Ducks

News: Ryan Kesler picked up his sixth assist and ninth point of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 OT loss to the visiting Islanders.
Analysis: Ryan Kesler took on the role of Anaheim's top center in this one, as star Ryan Getzlaf (flu) sat out. Through 14 games, Kesler is third on the team with 38 shots on goal and has flashed his usual snarl with 21 PIM. Owners would like to see more than three goals from the former Canuck at this point, but patience is always advised while a player adjusts to life with a new team.
