News: Brodeur will be in nets against Montreal for Friday's home game reports the Ottawa Citizen's Ken Warren.
Analysis: No surprise here as Brian Elliott has lost his past 10 decisions and is looking very tired in goal. Broduer has limited fantasy value at this point, especially playing behind an underperforming Ottawa squad.

News: Brodeur has been re-assigned to Ottawa's AHL affiliate in Binghamton reports the club's web site.
Analysis: It appears as if Pascal Leclaire (lower body) is good enough to at least dress as the backup for Ottawa's next game Thursday against Nashville. Brodeur has had a tough year as he suffered a concussion during the first days of training camp and has only recently begun playing again. Look for him to serve as Binghamton's backup while Robin Lehner is Sweden's No. 1 goalie during the upcoming U-20 Men's Hockey Championship in Buffalo.
News: Brodeur will be recalled Sunday, according to the Senators' official site.
Analysis: Pascal Leclaire is day-to-day with a lower body injury, so an extra goalie is needed. Expect him to be with the team only for the length of time Leclaire is out, which shouldn't be long.
News: Brodeur will miss Tuesday's preseason contest against Toronto with the flu, the Ottawa Citizen reports.
Analysis: Brodeur was set to split time in goal with Robin Lehner, but will sit instead. Lehner should see a full 60 minutes. Neither goaltender is expected to make the Senators' opening night roster.
News: The Senators have assigned G Mike Brodeur back to the AHL.
Analysis: Brodeur has done an outstanding job in his three starts this season (1.00 GAA), and with the way Pascal Leclaire gets hurt he could be back in Canada's capital later in the campaign. Don't worry about owning him while he's in the AHL though, unless you're in a super-deep league.
News: Ottawa G Mike Brodeur was available for Tuesday's game against Chicago after missing Monday's contest with the flu. Brodeur did not start the game, however, as that nod went to Brian Elliot.
Analysis: This illness came at an awful time for Brodeur and his Fantasy owners, as he had won his first two games since coming up from the AHL and looked in line for a good week if he played well again on Monday. Instead, he's healthy again, or close enough to it to be active for the game, yet sitting on the bench. Hopefully he gets back later this week and provides some kind of output for the Fantasy owners who took a chance with him in Week 16 (Jan. 18-24). Still, he has low-end value unless he earns the starting nod for the Senators.
News: Senators G Mike Brodeur (flu) sat out Monday's win over the Bruins. Brian Elliott took his place.
Analysis: This illness came at an awful time for Brodeur and his Fantasy owners, as he had won his first two games since coming up from the AHL and looked in line for a good week if he played well again on Monday. Instead, he's probably in bed sick right now. Hopefully he gets back later this week and provides some kind of output for the Fantasy owners who took a chance with him in Week 16 (Jan. 18-24).
News: The Senators' official Twitter feed reports that Senators G Mike Brodeur, who was supposed to start Monday at Boston, has the flu. He will be replaced by Brian Elliott.

News: Senators G Mike Brodeur made 30 saves Saturday in a 4-2 win over the Canadiens.
Analysis: Brodeur now has back-to-back wins since being called up from the AHL to cover for the injured Pascal Leclaire and the sick Brian Elliott. That might not be enough to keep him up in the NHL for an extended period, but you never know. Grab him in deeper leagues as a flier No. 3 or No. 4 option just in case he does stick around. The Senators TG remains a No. 2 choice.
News: Senators G Mike Brodeur, a distant relative of New Jersey goalie Martin Brodeur, made 32 saves in his second NHL appearance to earn his second career victory during a 2-0 victory against the Rangers on Thursday. The shutout came two days after Martin Brodeur beat the Rangers 1-0 in a shootout at Madison Square Garden. Mike Brodeur was pulled off the ice during practice for Binghamton (AHL) on Thursday after being recalled by the Senators since Pascal Leclaire went down with an injury in practice. Marian Gaborik had New York's best scoring opportunity about six minutes into the second when a turnover by Ryan Shannon at the blue line created a breakaway. Gaborik made a move in-close, but Brodeur knocked the puck away.
Analysis: Brodeur was also up in December when Leclaire was injured and allowed one goal in a win against Minnesota. He has done well in the pinch for Ottawa, but Brodeur is still likely ticketed for the AHL as soon as Leclaire is healthy. We just don't know when Leclaire will be back. Brodeur is nothing more than a stopgap Fantasy option. The Senators TG is a No. 2 option.
News: Senators G Mike Brodeur has been called up from the AHL and Team 1200 Radio in Ottawa reports that he should start Thursday at the N.Y. Rangers. Brodeur is up because Pascal Leclaire came down injured during practice Thursday and Brian Elliott has the flu.
Analysis: Don't worry about Brodeur in Fantasy play just yet, unless Leclaire is out for an extended period of time. The Senators TG remains a No. 2 option at best.
News: Senators backup G Mike Brodeur picked up a win in his first NHL game Saturday as Ottawa defeated the Wild 4-1. Brodeur made 22 saves.
Analysis: The Sens gave Brodeur a start on Saturday, but he's likely to be sent back to the AHL in the next couple of days with Pascal Leclaire getting close to a return. Continue to ignore Brodeur in all formats, while the Senators TG remains a No. 2 option.
News: Ottawa Senators starting goaltender Pascal Leclaire will be sidelined about a month with a broken cheekbone. The team said Tuesday that he suffered the injury while sitting on the bench during the 4-3 overtime win Monday against Washington. A dump-in attempt by Senators center Mike Fisher struck a stick and sailed into the Ottawa bench, rebounding off the glass and off the right side of Leclaire's face. Leclaire was serving as backup to Brian Elliott because he'd suffered a slight injury to his lower body in a win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday. Elliott will now assume the starting responsibilities with Mike Brodeur expected to pull backup duty. He was recalled from Binghamton (AHL) on Tuesday.
Analysis: Brodeur has never appeared in the NHL, but he won't be asked to make a ton of outings unless something happens to Elliott. Brodeur is a career minor leaguer and has little to no Fantasy appeal.
News: The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled goaltender Mike Brodeur from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. Brodeur's recall Sunday was the Blackhawks' second of a Rockford goaltender since first-string goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin sprained his knee during Wednesday night's 7-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. On Thursday they called up Corey Crawford from the IceHogs.
Analysis: Brodeur has split his time this season between Rockford and Pensacola of the ECHL. At Pensacola, he has appeared in 18 games with a record of 5-7-4. He played in two games for Rockford, where he was 1-0-0. He will likely be back in the minors shortly and can be ignored in Fantasy leagues at this time.
News: The Chicago Blackhawks have returned Adam Berti, Bryan Bickell, Michael Blunden, Mike Brodeur, Evan Brophey, Troy Brouwer, Wade Flaherty, Jim Fahey, Colin Fraser, Jordan Hendry, Adam Hobson, Steve Marr, Pierre Parenteau, Jean-Claude Sawyer and Kris Versteeg to Rockford of the AHL on Sunday.
Analysis: Blunden, Brouwer and Parenteau have bright futures in the NHL, but they are only worth a look in long-term keeper Fantasy formats. Fahey and Flaherty have had time in the NHL before, but they aren't worth a look in seasonal leagues at this point.
