Analysis: Pock played in a career-high 59 games with the Islanders in 2008-09. He had eight goals and 17 points in 118 NHL games with the Rangers and Islanders. Pock was never a full-time blueliner and it's not surprising he is headed overseas for his chance to play on a big stage. It's safe to ignore him in Fantasy.

News:The Sports Xchange reports D Thomas Pock, obtained by waivers from the Rangers the final week of the preseason, was even over 18:22 in his Islanders debut Saturday against the Blues, including a few shifts on the power play.

News: The Islanders have claimed D Thomas Pock on waivers. He was recently released by the Rangers.
Analysis: Pock has been back and forth between the NHL and AHL so far in his career and has minimal Fantasy value at this time. Ignore him in all drafts.
News:The Sports Xchange reports their annual free agency frenzy over, the Rangers are pretty well set from a roster perspective with their season-opening pair of games against Tampa Bay in Prague now less than three months away. However, a couple of questions remain -- one great and one small. The small one: Who will be the seventh defenseman? While Thomas Pock's name might be the most recognizable among the candidates, his salary and the requirement that he pass through waivers to go to or from the minors makes him the least likely to get the job. So figure instead on a rotation of youngsters such as Bobby Sanguinetti, Corey Potter and Michael Sauer.
Analysis: The Rangers rely more on their forwards to get the scoring done than their defenseman. They rather have them play solid defense in front of goalie Henrik Lundqvist. Regardless, they signed Wade Redden in the offseason to boost their blue line scoring. If Pock, Sanguinetti, Potter and Sauer are going to share time in the NHL this season, then they shouldn't be owned in Fantasy leagues.
News: Rangers D Thomas Pock cleared waivers and was assigned to AHL Hartford on Thursday.
Analysis: Pock played in just one game this season and just 59 in his career. He has a total of 14 career points. Needless to say, if he doesn't play or in the minors, he is not worth owning in Fantasy leagues.

News: New York Newsday reports Karel Rachunek (sprained right knee) has ruled himself OUT for Game 3 against the Thrashers after practicing on Monday. "Close, but not (Tuesday)," Rachunek said. "Maybe Wednesday, but it's up to the coaches."
Analysis: Rachunek suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee against Ottawa on March 13. Thomas Pock will play at least one more game in his absence.
