Wild's Parise Continues Hot Start

News: Zach Parise scored his second goal of the season and had 10 shots on goal in Saturday's win over Colorado.
Analysis: It's hard to imagine a better start to the season for Zach Parise, who has two goals, two assists and 19 shots on goal in two games.

Wild's Parise Has Three-Point Opening Night

News: Zach Parise scored a goal and had two assists in Thursday's win over Colorado.
Analysis: The Wild had a 6-0 blowout win over Colorado so don't expect this outing every night, but Zach Parise could improve his numbers with the increase in talent on the Wild's top three lines.

Wild Hold Parise Out Of Practice

News: The Wild held Zach Parise out of practice Sunday after he got banged up in Saturday's game. He said, however, that it was just a maintenance day and that he will play again Monday, according to Michael Russo of the Star Tribune.
Analysis: The team's actions echo that, as Mike Yeo has Zach Parise penciled into the top line for Monday's home game against Pittsburgh.

Wild's Parise Keeps Building Playoff Point Total

News: Zach Parise contributed a power-play goal and an assist to Tuesday's Game 3 victory over Chicago.
Analysis: The two points pushed his playoff total to 13, good for second in the NHL behind the Kings' Anze Kopitar. Simply put, he's been awesome for the Wild, and they need him more than ever now, as they still trail 2-1 in this series.

Parise Active In Wild Loss

News: Zach Parise put six shots on goal and registered an assist in Friday's Game 1 loss to Chicago in Game 1 of the Central Division finals, giving him seven points in the last five games.
Analysis: Zach Parise was denied by Corey Crawford on a glorious shorthanded breakaway chance in the first period but couldn't sneak one of his six shots past Crawford. Parise will remain the Wild's top forward in their attempt to beat Chicago and a steady option in playoff pools.

Wild's Parise Tallies Four Points

News: Zach Parise scored two goals, including a power-play tally and the game-winner, and he also had two assists against the Avalanche in Monday's Game 6. He was also a plus-2 and had two penalty minutes.
Analysis: Zach Parise has scored in all six games of this series, and has 10 points in total.

Wild's Parise: Strong Performance In Game 1 Loss

News: Zach Parise had two assists and three shots on goal in Minnesota's overtime loss to Colorado in Game 1 of the teams' playoff matchup Thursday. He skated 23:09 and had 2:31 of power-play time.
Analysis: Zach Parise is probably the Wild's best forward option if your playoff format makes you choose at least one player on each team, though the Wild would appear to be a pretty heavy underdog in this series. The Avs are a bit banged up, however, and Thursday proved the Wild can keep up, which at least gives Parise owners some hope as the series moves on.

Parise Scores In Wild's Regular-Season Finale

News: Zach Parise had a power-play goal and four shots in the regular-season finale against Nashville on Sunday.
Analysis: Zach Parise got denied by Carter Hutton in the second on a good chance to grab his 30th goal. He finished with 29 goals and 27 assists, and his 14 power-play goals were good for fourth in the league even though he only played 67 games this season.

Wild's Parise: Seven Points In Last Five Games

News: Zach Parise picked up two assists in Saturday's win over Pittsburgh.
Analysis: He has seven points, including four goals, in his last five games and looks no worse for wear after absorbing a massive hit in Thursday's game.

Wild's Parise Healthy

News: Zach Parise is playing in Saturday's game against the Penguins.
Analysis: Zach Parise took a hard hit during Thursday's game, but nothing ever came of it, as one might expect with the Wild still needing to clinch a playoff berth.

Wild's Parise Suffers Possible Head Injury

News: Zach Parise took a hit to the head during Thursday's game against the Blackhawks, and the star winger said afterward that he was "seeing stars" and has a headache, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: Zach Parise finished the contest but lost his three-game goal streak, and he'll likely do whatever he can to stay on the ice, given that the Wild have yet to clinch a playoff berth. However, it sounds like he may have have suffered a relatively minor concussion, so fantasy owners will want to keep an eye on their star forward. Next up for the Wild is a Saturday home game against the Penguins.

Parise's Two Goals Pace Wild Over Coyotes

News: Zach Parise potted a pair of goals Saturday, notching his 26th and 27th as the Wild tamed the Coyotes 3-1.
Analysis: His second of the night was an empty netter that served as a nice little exclamation mark on a three-goal third period that iced the Coyotes. Zach Parise's 27th gives him a share of Minnesota's goal lead with Jason Pominville, and although he hasn't quite been a point-per-game player thus far with the Wild, his 11.8 shooting percentage is the highest since his 45-goal, 94-point performance with the Devils in 2008-2009. With seven games remaining, look for the Minnesotan to crack 30 goals and build upon his 49 points as the Wild charge toward the postseason.

Parise Scores In Jersey Return, But Wild Lose

News: Zach Parise scored his 24th goal of the year on a power play and went plus-1, but he and the Wild absorbed a 4-3 loss in overtime Thursday.
Analysis: Nice for Zach Parise to score against the team that drafted and developed him before letting him walk to Minnesota for big money, but he surely would have preferred to come away with a win. Nonetheless, he's been wonderfully productive for a nearly two-month-long span now, with 19 points in his last 16 games.

Wild's Parise Staying Regular

News: Zach Parise picked up a goal and an assist in Tuesday's shootout loss to Edmonton. He also scored in the shootout's first round.
Analysis: Zach Parise's been a scoresheet regular since late January, as he's got points in nine of his last 11 games, with impressive totals of seven goals and 15 points in that span.

Wild's Parise Comes Out Of Break Hot

News: Zach Parise tallied another goal in Monday's win over the Flames.
Analysis: Zach Parise has scored a point in each of his three games out of the break, and the Wild have picked up wins on each occasion. With Mikko Koivu now back in the lineup, scoring opportunities should continue to remain abundant for Parise.

Wild's Parise Scores 20th Goal Of The Season

News: Zach Parise scored his 20th goal of the season during the Wild's 2-1 shootout win over the Canucks on Friday.
Analysis: Zach Parise has picked up right where he left off and now has a goal and an assist in his first two games since returning from the Olympic break. He now has four points in his last five games and has 20 goals and 18 assists over 46 games this season.

Wild's Parise Expected To Play With Hand Injury

News: Zach Parise says his hand is fine after suffering an injury in his final game in the Olympics, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "I'm not sure what happened, but it was really hurting in that last game," Parise said.
Analysis: It doesn't sound like a serious injury and he should be ready to play when the Wild resume action Thursday at Edmonton.

Wild's Parise May Have Thumb Injury

News: Zach Parise was seen having his thumb taped up on the bench in the waning moments of Saturday's 5-0 loss to Finland in the bronze medal game, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: The Americans' flat effort was probably more bothersome than the thumb injury for Zach Parise, who captains the squad. He'll presumably be checked out by the Wild trainers once he arrives back in the States, but it could be the case where the tape job was a precautionary measure.

MN's Parise Scores Again

News: Zach Parise scored and took four shots in 23:30 of ice time during Thursday's win over Nashville.

Parise's Four Points Not Enough As Wild Fall

News: Zach Parise factored into all four Minnesota goals on Thursday, scoring two and assisting on the other two, but it wasn't enough in a 5-4 loss to Colorado.
Analysis: That's back-to-back huge games for Zach Parise, who's ripped off seven points and a plus-4 rating over these two contests. He's officially back after going scoreless in his first two games following a month-long absence due to a foot injury.

Wild's Parise Notches First Points Since Injury

News: Zach Parise scored a goal, assisted on two more and went plus-2 in Tuesday's win over Anaheim.
Analysis: The points were Zach Parise's first in three games since returning from a 14-game absence due to a foot injury. While this has been a disappointing season so far for the big-ticket winger, perhaps the big night will get him going.

Wild's Parise To Play Thursday

News: Zach Parise (foot) confirmed he would play Thursday vs. the Blackhawks, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: He'll make his return to the lineup after missing the previous 14 games with the foot injury. Despite the lengthy absence of both Zach Parise, the Wild have managed to tread water in the Western Conference playoff race while he's been out, going 7-7-0. Parise's return should be a major boon to an offense that has struggled to put up shots this season.

Wild's Parise Practices Fully

News: Zach Parise (foot) participated in a full contact practice Wednesday, Chad Graff of the Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: The winger has been skating for over a week now, and that fact that he's a full participant in practice certainly bodes well. He skated on the top line with Charlie Coyle and Nino Niederreiter and also joined the top power play unit, signaling a possible return to the lineup Thursday vs. Chicago. Expect official word on Zach Parise's status following morning skate. Parise racked up 15 goals and 12 assists in 37 games before the injury.

Wild's Parise Sports Non-Contact Jersey

News: Zach Parise (foot) was a non-contact participant in Monday's practice, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: As expected, Zach Parise is starting to increase his activities after he resumed skating last week. He's tentatively targeting a return Thursday vs. the Blackhawks, but that won't be a possibility until he gets in some full-contact work beforehand.

Wild's Parise Aiming For Thursday Return

News: Zach Parise (foot) could return from injured reserve as soon as Thursday vs. the Blackhawks, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Zach Parise skated Saturday morning and believes he'll be able to ramp up his activities during Monday's practice and the sessions to follow. If he proves to adjust well to full-contact work, he could be a possibility for Thursday's lineup, though a weekend return would seem more plausible.
