Wild's Parise Powers Comeback

News: Zach Parise powered the Wild to a third-period comeback Tuesday, scoring a pair of goals -- one on the power play to draw within 4-2, the other at even strength to tie the game -- in an eventual 5-4 shootout loss to Detroit.
Analysis: Unfortunately, Zach Parise ended up missing on his shootout attempt. But that's forgivable when you've put five pucks home over the course of a four-game goal streak, as he has.

Wild's Parise Heating Up

News: Zach Parise notched a goal in Monday's loss to the Blue Jackets.
Analysis: After recently missing time following the passing of his father, Zach Parise has returned to active duty and hasn't seemed to miss a beat. He's recorded goals in three straight games, while attempting for or more shots in each contest. Parise is on track to submit his top scoring season since his 69-point showing with the Devils in 2011-12, his final year in New Jersey.

Wild's Parise Gets Back On Track

News: Zach Parise snapped a three-game scoring drought with a goal and an assist in Thursday's 7-0 rattling of the Sabres.
Analysis: Zach Parise hadn't found the scoresheet in three games since returning to the ice following the untimely death of his father, J.P., and it's hard to blame him. The multi-point effort was his first since Dec. 20.

Wild's Parise (Personal) Will Play Saturday

News: Zach Parise (personal) will return to the Minnesota lineup Saturday against the Predators, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: After consulting with his wife following the death of his father, J.P., on Thursday, Zach Parise decided it was best for him to rejoin the team Friday in an attempt to regain a sense of normalcy. The Wild plan to stick with the top-line trio they used during his two-game absence (Jason Zucker, Mikko Koivu, and Jason Pominville), so Parise will find himself next to new mates in Erik Haula and Thomas Vanek on the second line in his return. Despite the turmoil in his personal life, Parise has delivered his usual excellence for the Wild this season, tallying 14 goals and 16 assists over 32 games.

Wild's Parise (Personal) Rejoins Team

News: Zach Parise (personal) rejoined the Wild on Friday, taking part in the team's practice, Rachel Blount of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Zach Parise didn't stick around to take part in the team's full session, but did fire off some shots. He's scheduled to meet with the media later Friday for the first time since the death of his father, J.P. Parise, should indicate during that time when exactly he plans on returning to active duty for the Wild.

Wild's Parise Designated As Non-Roster Player

News: Zach Parise (personal) was designated as a non-roster player Thursday.
Analysis: Zach Parise was excused from the team earlier this week, and he will be given more time off following the unfortunate passing of his father Thursday. It remains to be seen when he will play next, but he should be considered out indefinitely until he rejoins the team.

Wild's Parise (Personal) A Late Scratch Tuesday

News: Zach Parise will not play in Tuesday's game against the Sharks.
Analysis: The news came down minutes before the Wild were about to begin pregame warmups, with the team's public relations staff releasing a statement on behalf of Zach Parise. With his father, J.P., dealing with complications from lung cancer, Parise left the team to be at his side. Expect the Wild to give him as much time off as he needs to attend to the matter, making his return date indefinite for the time being.

Wild's Parise Scores In Loss

News: Zach Parise scored Minnesota's lone tally in a 3-1 loss to Columbus on Wednesday.
Analysis: Zach Parise finished with two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating and snaps a three-game goal drought. However, the Minnesota native is still looking in good shape with six points in his past five games. With 29 points in 30 games, statistically speaking the 30-year-old Parise is having the best season of his career in Minnesota. Though he has just five power play points he's still one of the best left wingers for fantasy owners.

Wild's Parise Scores Twice In Loss

News: Zach Parise scored a pair of goals and added an assist in Saturday's loss to the Predators.
Analysis: Zach Parise now has 13 goals and 26 points in 26 games, to go with a plus-8 rating. He has been super consistent this season, never going more than two games without appearing on the scoresheet. Keep him rolling.

Wild's Parise Nets 10th Of Season

News: Zach Parise scored his 10th goal of the season, had an assist, and was credited with four PIM in Friday's loss to the Ducks.
Analysis: Zach Parise has been unstoppable lately, recording two goals and seven points in his last four games. He has been one of the most consistent fantasy producers this season, recording 21 points in 20 games, to go with a plus-10 rating. He's a must-start every night he is in action.

WIld's Parise Strikes For Power- Play Goal

News: Zach Parise scored a power-play goal and had a game-high nine shots on goal in Saturday's shootout loss to the Blues.
Analysis: Zach Parise has been flying lately, recording three goals and six points in his last five games. Interesting to note, however, that despite having 14 power-play goals last season, Parise's tally with the man advantage Saturday was his first power-play goal of the 2014-15 season. While that's a bit puzzling, Parise has been very reliable this season, collecting 18 points (nine goals) and a plus-9 rating in 18 games. Keep him rolling.

Wild's Parise Gets Goal In Loss

News: Zach Parise scored the Wild's only goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Lightning.
Analysis: He's delivering at close to a point-per-game pace and firing a lot of pucks at opposing goalies. He's a solid play.

Wild's Parise Pots Two Goals In Return

News: Zach Parise nabbed a pair of goals in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win against the Jets.
Analysis: It was Zach Parise's first game back since sustaining a concussion Nov. 4, and he played well in exactly 20 minutes of ice time. The two goals brings him to six on the year to go along with six assists, and he should be good for more than 60 points if he can stay healthy.

Wilds' Parise (Concussion) Expected To Play Sunday

News: Zach Parise (concussion) is expected to play Sunday against the Jets.
Analysis: Zach Parise was activated earlier on Sunday, and now has been confirmed to play for the first time since he suffered the concussion Nov. 4. He is expected to rejoin Mikko Koivu and Jason Pominville on the first line.

Wild's Parise (Concussion) Activated Sunday

News: Zach Parise (concussion) was activated from injured reserve Sunday.
Analysis: Zach Parise's activation likely indicates he is ready to return to the ice, though that hasn't been confirmed yet. He suffered the concussion Nov. 4 against the Penguins, and has been sidelined since. The Wild placed Jonas Brodin on injured reserve Sunday in a corresponding move.

Wild's Parise Could Return Sunday

News: Coach Mike Yeo said Zach Parise (concussion) is "progressing well" and could return to the lineup Sunday against the Jets, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Zach Parise won't travel with the team to Dallas for Saturday's game against the Stars, but it appears he's cleared nearly all the hurdles of the league's mandatory concussion protocol. The Wild captain has been skating daily and doesn't seem to be experiencing any dizziness or other concussion-like symptoms, potentially putting him on track to play Sunday if he's able to get in a good skate the morning of the game.

Wild's Parise Out Saturday

News: Zach Parise (concussion) will not play in Saturday's game against the Stars, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: There was a chance Zach Parise could return Saturday, but he was ruled out after sitting out Friday's practice. While Parise will miss at least one more game to his concussion, he could play Sunday against the Jets.

Wild's Parise (Concussion) Continues To Skate

News: Zach Parise missed his fourth consecutive game Thursday with a concussion, but is skating daily. "He's getting close, but we just have to make sure we're following protocol," head coach Mike Yeo told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "We desperately want him back in the lineup, but we have to make sure when he comes back he's staying in the lineup."
Analysis: Zach Parise was moved to injured reserve Thursday, but that was a move to create roster space rather than an outlook on his injury. It sounds like he could return this weekend or early next week.

Wild Place Parise On IR

News: Zach Parise (concussion) was moved to injured reserve Thursday.
Analysis: Zach Parise's move to injured reserve allowed the Wild to call up an extra defenseman to cover for the absences of Marco Scandella and Jonas Brodin, both of whom are dealing with an illness and are unavailable to play Thursday against the Sabres. It would seem that Parise will also sit for the fourth straight game after being considered doubtful heading into the team's morning skate, but because he's already been out for the minimum seven days, he can be activated from IR at any point. Parise is expected to practice fully Friday, after which the Wild could formally activate him in advance of Saturday's game against the Stars.

Wild's Parise Listed As Doubtful For Thursday

News: Zach Parise (concussion) is considered doubtful to play Thursday against the Sabres, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: Zach Parise was able to practice during Wednesday's optional session, but based on his doubtful designation, it seems likely that the Wild want him to get in another full practice before he suits up for a game. Coach Mike Yeo could change his tune on the matter if Parise looks good during Thursday's morning skate and passes all concussion tests, but Saturday's game against the Stars looks to be a more realistic target for the forward's return.

Wild's Parise Could Return Thursday

News: Coach Mike Yeo said that Zach Parise (concussion) could be back in the lineup Thursday against the Sabres, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Despite being ruled out from playing in his homecoming to New Jersey on Tuesday, Zach Parise still traveled with the team so he could get in a hard skate during their morning session. After coming through the exercise without any apparent issues, he'll attempt to practice Wednesday in Minnesota. If all goes well, team doctors could sign off on Parise's return to the lineup after a three-game absence.

Wild's Parise Travelling With Team

News: Zach Parise (concussion) will travel with the team to New Jersey, but won't play.
Analysis: It's certainly a good sign that Zach Parise is travelling with the team, since it probably means the team wants him to practice to get his conditioning back. There's no word on when he'll return to the lineup, but it seems more like a day-to-day discussion at this point than a week-to-week one.

Wild's Parise Diagnosed With Concussion

News: Zach Parise has been diagnosed with a concussion, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: The news doesn't necessarily change Zach Parise's recovery timeline, as the Wild had previously ruled him out for the entirety of their three-game road trip that kicks off Thursday. He'll be evaluated by team doctors over the coming days in attempt to ascertain how much progress he's making, but the unpredictably nature of head injuries makes it difficult to project an expected return date for the forward. While Parise remains out, Thomas Vanek is expected to get the first crack at filling in for him on the top line next to Mikael Granlund and Jason Pominville.

Wild's Parise Ruled Out For Road Trip

News: Zach Parise (upper body) will not join the Wild for their three-game road trip beginning Thursday, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis: After the forward was unable to return to practice Wednesday, the team determined that Zach Parise wouldn't be fit to play over the next couple of days, suggesting the injury is more than a minor concern. The Wild haven't clarified the extent of Parise's injury or issued a return timetable, so there's no guarantee he'll be ready to play when the team kicks off its homestand on Nov. 13.
