Jets' Ladd Battling Elbow Injury

News: Andrew Ladd's undisclosed ailment is an elbow injury, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Andrew Ladd will have the entire offseason to recover from the injury, as the Jets have already decided to shut him down for the remaining few games. The injury notwithstanding, Ladd enjoyed another productive season with the Jets, generating 23 goals and 31 assists in 78 contests.

Jets' Ladd Done For Season

News: Andrew Ladd (undisclosed) will not play in either of the Jets' final two games of the season, Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: The absence of Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien for the remainder of the season leaves the Jets rather punchless up front, but it makes sense to rest both ailing players with the team eliminated from the playoffs. Evander Kane will fill the top-line left wing spot in place of Ladd the last two games.

Jets' Ladd Skates

News: Andrew Ladd (undisclosed) practiced in a non-contact jersey Wednesday.
Analysis: While it's a good sign that he's on the ice, the fact that he's not taking contact yet would suggest that Andrew Ladd won't be available for Thursday's contest with the Bruins. Considering the last game of the season is Friday for the Jets, there's a good chance we won't see Ladd again this year.

Jets' Ladd Thaws Assist Freeze, Gets Two In Win

News: Andrew Ladd set up two goals in Saturday's win over the Maple Leafs. They are his first assists since March 8, a span of 13 games.
Analysis: He still has six goals in that span, but we'd like a little more playmaking. But it's hard to quibble with 54 points in 78 games, a tally that is just five from his career mark of 59.

Jets' Ladd Nets 23rd Goal

News: Andrew Ladd scored the Jets' lone regulation goal in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Coyotes.
Analysis: Andrew Ladd also scored in the shootout to help seal the win for the Jets. Although that doesn't count for fantasy stats, it's good to see the captain playing well while the team keeps its slim playoff hopes alive.

News: Andrew Ladd scored his 19th goal of the season during the Jets' 4-2 loss on Friday.

Jets' Ladd Scoring In Bunches

News: Andrew Ladd scored both of the Jets' goals in a 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Islanders on Tuesday.
Analysis: Andrew Ladd's performance gives him four goals in his last four games. It looks like he's poised to do his part in getting the Jets into the playoffs as the end of the season draws near. Fantasy owners need to ride the hot hand right now and should definitely be playing Ladd right now.

Jets' Ladd: Goal Gives Him 10 Points In Last 10

News: Andrew Ladd scored the game-winning goal Saturday in a 3-1 victory over the Predators.
Analysis: He now has 15 goals and 28 assists in 62 games this season. But his pace has quickened and he has 10 points, including four goals, in his last 10 games. He may be in for a late-season surge.

Jets' Ladd Misses Morning Skate

News: Andrew Ladd did not participate in the team's morning skate on Thursday, according to a report by Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press.
Analysis: Andrew Ladd missed the morning skate prior to Tuesday's game against Carolina as well but still played in the game that night. He is fully expected to be in the lineup on Thursday and play his regular shift.

Jets' Ladd Scores 12th Goal

News: After missing Tuesday's morning skate, Andrew Ladd took the ice for the Jets' matchup with the Canes, scoring a goal in 19 minutes of action in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Carolina.
Analysis: After scoring 18 times in just 48 games last year, Andrew Ladd has just 12 goals in 57 games this year. The good news is he and the rest of the Jets are playing better with Paul Maurice coaching the team so hopefully he's in for a strong finish to the season for fantasy owners. A reason was never provided for Ladd's absence, but he appears to be OK, as the 28-year old scored goal number 12 of the season on Tuesday. He now has six points in his last five games, with a plus-1 rating over that span. He'll look to continue this momentum Thursday against the Capitals.

News: Andrew Ladd (unspecified reason) didn't skate Tuesday morning, but is expected to play in the Jets' evening game against the Hurricanes, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Jets' Ladd Nabs Another Goal In Win

Jets' Ladd Adds Helper

News: Andrew Ladd picked up an assist to go with a plus-1 rating in Friday's 5-2 win over the Florida Panthers.
Analysis: After scoring 18 times in a 48-game season last year, Andrew Ladd will be hard pressed to reach that total in 82 games this year. He does other things to help the Jets win, which is why he's the captain. That said, fantasy owners who drafted him based on the 35-goal pace he maintained last season aren't getting a good return on investment right now.
