Ex-Bolt Pyatt Joins Swiss Club

News: Tom Pyatt signed a one-year contract with Geneve-Servette of the Swiss League on Monday.
Analysis: In leaving North America for Switzerland, Tom Pyatt will join brother and former Pittsburgh Penguin forward Taylor. Tom, the younger of the two brothers, was sidelined for 33 games last season with the Lightning due to a broken collarbone. He would provide only meager scoring production (three goals, four assists) while playing in 27 games, resulting in limited interest from NHL suitors during the offseason.

Bolts' Pyatt: Ice Drops, Passed By Younger Talent

News: Tom Pyatt appears to be the odd man out in Tampa with the team going with a youth movement at forward. He has been a healthy scratch six times in the team's 11 games.
Analysis: He's a pesky forward, but he has been passed by several of the Bolts' excellent young players. Tom Pyatt may see time in the postseason, but he won't provide you with fantasy value before season's end.

Bolts' Pyatt: First Goal Of Season

News: Tom Pyatt scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's victory over the Red Wings. The goal was the first of his season.
Analysis: His ice time has been limited by injury this season -- this was just his 10th game of the season. He actually has four points in his last five games, but that dates back to Jan. 9. He remains more valuable on the ice than in any fantasy arena.

Bolts' Pyatt Returns To Action

News: Tom Pyatt (collarbone) returned to action Saturday after missing 32 games. He skated 8:32 and fired four shots on net.
Analysis: He's a depth guy for the Bolts who is clearly more valuable on the ice than in the fantasy arena.

Bolts Activate Pyatt

News: Tom Pyatt (collarbone) was activated from IR and will play Saturday vs. the Hurricanes, Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: At long last, Tom Pyatt will draw back into the lineup after missing 32 games with the broken collarbone. Pyatt won't exactly make up for the absence of Steven Stamkos, but with 16 points in 43 games last season, he does possess some ability to score.

Bolts' Pyatt Set To Return Saturday

News: Tom Pyatt (collarbone) is expected to be activated from IR and will be in the lineup against the Hurricanes on Saturday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Tom Pyatt broke his collarbone back in early October and was supposed to return shortly after Thanksgiving. However, he had a minor setback and the return was pushed off. He's been skating in a non-contact jersey for the last several days at practice and should be ready to go Saturday.

Bolts' Pyatt Sheds Non-Contact Jersey

News: Tom Pyatt (collarbone) was wearing a regular jersey during Thursday's morning skate, Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: The forward had previously been skating with a non-contact jersey in recent practices. Tom Pyatt will probably need another day of full-contact work before he receives clearance to return to the lineup, with coach John Cooper expecting him back Saturday against Carolina.

Bolts' Pyatt Hopes To Return Next Week

News: Tom Pyatt (collarbone) will have a scan next week and hopes to be cleared to play next Thursday vs. the Predators, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Tom Pyatt had initially hoped to be back around Thanksgiving until an earlier scan showed that his fractured collarbone hadn't completely healed. He's been practicing with the Lightning for about a month now and is just awaiting the go-ahead from doctors before sliding back into the lineup.

Bolts' Pyatt Expects To Miss Two More Weeks

News: Tom Pyatt expects to miss two more weeks of action after a recent scan showed his collarbone hasn't healed completely, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: Tom Pyatt had previously been targeting a return around Thanksgiving Day, but those plans have now been tabled in light of the recent setback. Because of the extensive time he's missed this season, Pyatt will almost certainly require an AHL conditioning stint once he begins practicing for a few days.

Lightning's Pyatt Expects To Be Cleared By Tuesday

News: Tom Pyatt (collarbone) said he expects to be cleared to play by next Tuesday, Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Tom Pyatt feels like he can go right now, but it seems he's eyeing a Dec. 3 return against Columbus. The 26-year-old has been on the shelf close to two months, so he figures to be eased back into the rotation once activated.

Bolts' Pyatt Expected To Return After Thanksgiving

News: Tom Pyatt (collarbone) is expected to return after Thanksgiving, the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: While Tom Pyatt has been skating on his own, this is an indication that he's still at least two weeks away from returning to game action.

Bolts' Pyatt Still Doing Off-Ice Work

News: Tom Pyatt (collarbone) is still limited to off-ice rehab activities.
Analysis: The Lightning initially projected Tom Pyatt to be out until Thanksgiving with the broken collarbone, but unless he starts skating in the next few days, even that seems like a pipe dream. There's no need for fantasy owners in deeper leagues to rush to the waiver wire to stash him until he participates in a full-contact practices.

Lightning's Pyatt Likely Out Until Thanksgiving

News: Coach Jon Cooper said he doesn't expect Tom Pyatt to return to the Lightning until at least Thanksgiving, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Tom Pyatt broke his collarbone in Tuesday's contest against the Sabres and will more than likely land on IR in the coming days. He notched eight goals and eight assists in 43 games last season, leaving fourth-liners Pierre-Cedric Labrie and B.J. Crombeen to pick up some of his slack.

Lightning's Pyatt Breaks Collarbone

News: Tom Pyatt suffered a broken collarbone in Tuesday's overtime victory over the Sabres, the Tampa Tribune's Erik Erlendsson reports.
Analysis: Tom Pyatt did have 19 points in 43 games last season, but this is a bigger loss for the Bolts than it is for fantasy owners. The team has not released any definitive timetable for his return, other than saying that he is out "indefinitely."

Bolts' Pyatt (Upper Body) Out Tuesday

News: Tom Pyatt is out Tuesday after leaving Sunday's game against the Sabres, Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lightning's Pyatt Dealing With Upper Body Injury

News: Tom Pyatt (upper body) was removed from Sunday's game against the Sabres as a precaution, Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Tom Pyatt was shook up after taking a hard hit in the game, but coach Jon Cooper said afterward that it shouldn't be a long-term issue for the forward.

News: Tom Pyatt was forced out of Sunday's game against the Sabres with an upper-body injury, Eric Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.

Career Night For Bolts' Pyatt

News: Tom Pyatt had a three-assist night Saturday in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Capitals. It's his first three-point game in the NHL.
Analysis: He also has five points in his last five games and 16 points in 38 games. He has an outside shot at a career best this season -- he set that mark of 19 points in 74 games last season.

Lightning's Pyatt (Upper Body) May Play Saturday

News: Tom Pyatt (upper body) has a chance to play Saturday against the Hurricanes, according to coach Guy Boucher, Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: It sounds like Tom Pyatt has a chance to play Saturday, but he didn't take contact in practice Friday and it wouldn't be surprising if the Lightning gave him a few more days to get right.

Lightning's Pyatt (Upper Body) Skated Friday Morning With No-Contact Jersey

News: Tom Pyatt skated Friday morning with a red no-contact jersey, Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lightning's Pyatt Day-To-Day

News: Tom Pyatt is listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury, Eric Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
Analysis: The status of Tom Pyatt, who has just one point in his last nine games, is thus cloudy for Thursday's game against the Islanders.
