Bruins' Eriksson Notches 10th Goal

News: Loui Eriksson scored a goal in 18:29 worth of ice time in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Rangers.
Analysis: Loui Eriksson had gone eight games without a goal, though he did record five assists in that span. Overall, Eriksson has notched 10 goals and 27 points in 44 games to go along with a plus-10 rating. With young David Pastrnak set to remain with the Bruins and the team generally healthy up front, the squad's line combos should remain fairly stable until the next injury, with Eriksson in line to work on the team's effective third line with Chris Kelly and Carl Soderberg.

Bruins' Eriksson Returns

News: Loui Eriksson (hand) recorded an assist in 15:58 worth of ice time in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Flyers.
Analysis: Loui Eriksson's hand injury thus ended up costing him just one game, with the winger returning Saturday to man right wing on the Bruins' third line, centered by Carl Soderberg.

Bruins' Eriksson (Hand) To Return Saturday

News: Loui Eriksson (hand) will return to the Boston lineup Saturday against the Flyers, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Loui Eriksson was cleared to play after taking part in line rushes during warmups. Both he and Reilly Smith skated at the right wing spot on the third line, so it's not immediately clear how things will shake out for Eriksson. It's possible he sees time with both the third line and as a member of a top trio that also includes Brad Marchand and David Krejci.

Bruins' Eriksson (Hand) To Take Warmups

News: Loui Eriksson (hand) will take part in pregame warmups prior to Saturday's game against the Flyers, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: It would certainly seem to bolster Loui Eriksson's chances of playing Saturday, but the Bruins will likely check in with him after the session before deciding on his status for the contest. Eriksson had been playing exceedingly well prior to acquiring the injury, tallying four goals and six assists over his last 10 games.

Bruins' Eriksson Game-Time Decision Saturday

News: Loui Eriksson (hand) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Flyers.
Analysis: While Loui Eriksson's status for Saturday's contest is cloudy, that he is viewed as a game-time decision does appear to confirm the notion that the winger's hand injury is relatively minor and won't involve an extended absence.

Bruins' Eriksson Iffy For Saturday

News: Coach Claude Julien indicated Friday that Loui Eriksson (right hand) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Flyers, csnne.com's Joe Haggerty reports.
Analysis: The report relays via Julien that Loui Eriksson is doing better than he was on Thursday, when he sat out the Bruins' win over New Jersey, but at this stage the winger should be considered day-to-day.

Bruins' Eriksson (Hand) Spotted On Ice

News: Loui Eriksson (hand/wrist) was spotted on the ice Friday morning, but he appeared to be shooting "rather gingerly," Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: A long-term absence isn't expected, but Loui Eriksson is no sure thing to play in Saturday's game against the Flyers. He missed Thursday's contest against the Devils, after taking an uncalled slash Wednesday night.

Bruins' Eriksson (Hand) Out Thursday

News: Loui Eriksson (hand/wrist) will not play in Thursday's game against the Devils, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Erikson was slashed during the second period of Wednesday's game against the Penguins, and he later left the contest in the third period. According to Benjamin, Bruins coach Claude Julien does not believe that the injury will result in a long-term absence. Boston's next game is scheduled for Saturday in Philadelphia.

Bruins' Eriksson Suffers Hand Injury Wednesday

News: Loui Eriksson left Wednesday's game in the third period after being slashed in the hand/wrist area in the second period, CSN New England reports.
Analysis: Loui Eriksson continued playing after suffering the injury but was eventually forced from the game after recording 11:56 TOI. The extent of his injury is uncertain, but it puts his availability for Boston's next game Thursday in question.

Bruins' Eriksson Helps Out

News: Loui Eriksson picked up two assists Monday -- one on an empty-netter -- and went plus-3 in a 5-2 win over Detroit.
Analysis: All of a sudden, Loui Eriksson's been piling up these multi-point outings of late, having put up four two-point games over his last six. It seems like for the first time in a couple years, you can roll him confidently.

Bruins' Eriksson Finds Net Twice

News: Loui Eriksson scored in the second period and buried the puck in an empty net with 38 seconds remaining Tuesday in a win over Nashville.
Analysis: With four goals and six points over his last four games, Loui Eriksson's officially hot. He's been finding twine with great regularity of late, having tallied six times over the last eight games. This recent production has pushed his season numbers up to a pace nearly identical to last year's, but at least he's finding twine more often -- with nine goals now, he should easily surpass the totals of 10 and 12 that he posted over the last two seasons.

Bruins' Eriksson Nabs Two Points In Win

News: Loui Eriksson added an assist and scored the game winning goal in overtime in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Sabres.
Analysis: Loui Eriksson now has two multi-point efforts in his last three games, and six points in his last seven. The 29-year-old now has 19 points on seven goals in 34 games. While he won't come close to the 70-point seasons he has put up before, the winger could surpass last season's total of 37.

Bruins' Eriksson Scores Game-Winner Wednesday

News: Loui Eriksson collected a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Wild.
Analysis: The winger teamed up with linemate Carl Soderberg twice on the night, and ended up picking up the game-winner in overtime. He now has six goals and 11 assists in 32 games this season, and has started to heat up lately.

Bruins' Eriksson Nets Fourth Goal

News: Loui Eriksson tallied his fourth goal of the season in Saturday's win over the Coyotes.
Analysis: Loui Eriksson's tally came on the power play with just 30 seconds remaining in the second period, giving the Bruins a four-goal cushion. The score snapped a 13-game drought without a goal for the winger.

Bruins' Eriksson Back In Goal Column

News: Loui Eriksson scored a goal for the first time since Oct. 16 and added a power-play assist in Thursday's win over Edmonton.
Analysis: A nice night for Loui Eriksson, who's nonetheless still struggling to prove that he can be the kind of team-carrying scorer he was for the Stars from 2008-09 to 2011-12 before suddenly falling off the pace in the lockout-shortened season two years ago. Still only 29 years old and enjoying regular top-six ice time for the B's, Eriksson represents a somewhat risky, but potentially high-reward buy-low opportunity.

Bruins' Eriksson Notches Assist In Victory

News: Loui Eriksson gathered an assist on the first of two goals by Matt Fraser in Saturday's 4-2 victory over the Bruins.
Analysis: Loui Eriksson now has assists in back-to-back games while going plus-3 during that span, but his overall production for the season (seven points in 13 contests) has been rather pedestrian for a player averaging 17:38 of ice time. He should be a season-long asset in the plus/minus category for fantasy owners, but it's tough to forecast a return to the 70-point production he demonstrated with the Stars earlier in his career. Reaching 60 points might even be a stretch for Erikkson at this stage in his career.

Eriksson Notches Two Points For Bruins

News: Erikson scored a goal, contributed an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's loss to Montreal.
Analysis: This defeat certainly can't be laid at Loui Eriksson's feet, but even with this effort, he hasn't bounced back much yet this year, with just three points in six contests. It's odd for a guy who's less than 30 years old and doesn't have much of a track record with injuries to decline as Eriksson has, but his fantasy owners are stuck with that reality.

Bruins' Eriksson Scores First Of Season

News: Loui Eriksson netted his first goal of the season -- a power-play tally -- in Monday's loss to the Avalanche.
Analysis: It was also the first point of the season for Loui Eriksson, who is currently skating on the third line with Carl Soderberg and Chris Kelly. Eriksson's fantasy value has gone down in Boston, where he's no longer playing on the top line and top power-play unit, as he did in Dallas. Through four games, Eriksson has managed just seven shots on goal while averaging 16:32 of ice time.

Eriksson Skates With Kelly and Soderberg

News: Loui Eriksson saw 21:29 worth of ice time in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Red Wings.
Analysis: Through the Bruins' first two games, Loui Eriksson -- who has yet to record a point -- has been skating on a line with Chris Kelly and Carl Soderberg, though it remains to be seen if the trio will remain intact once top center David Krejci returns to Bruins' forward mix.

Bruins' Eriksson Skates With Kelly And Soderberg

News: In advance of Wednesday's game against the Flyers, Loui Eriksson was skating on a line with Chris Kelly and Carl Soderberg, Joe Haggerty of csnne.com reports.
Analysis: David Krejci's undisclosed injury (which will cause him to miss at least three games) has caused the Bruins to shuffle up some of their lines, so the anticipated top trio of Loui Eriksson, Milan Lucic and Krejci is a potential combo that is on hold for now.

Bruins' Eriksson Set To Face Islanders

News: Loui Eriksson is projected to work on a line with Milan Lucic and David Krejci on Tuesday against the Islanders, the Bruins' official site reports.
Analysis: With Lucic back in action, the Bruins' top line is taking shape, with Loui Eriksson on track to fill the void created by the offseason departure of Jarome Iginla. While Eriksson is not the goal-scorer that Iginla is, he is a skilled two-way winger who should mesh well with Krejci and Lucic, with an uptick in production a likely outcome for the 29-year-old Swede. Eriksson notched 37 points in 61 games for the Bruins in 2013-14.

Bruins' Eriksson Could Move To First Line

News: With Jarome Iginla having signed with the Avs, Loui Eriksson is viewed as the top candidate to move up to the Bruins' first line along with Milan Lucic and David Krejci, the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Injuries slowed Loui Eriksson in his first season with Boston, with the winger recording modest totals of 10 goals and 37 points in 61 games. While he's not the shooter Iginla is, Eriksson is a savvy and skilled player who should mesh well with the playmaking Krejci and bruising Lucic. Moving up to the first line would no doubt be a major boost to Eriksson's fantasy value, though it would of course create a void on the Bruins' third line.

Boston's Eriksson: Two-Point Night

News: Loui Eriksson, who has had a relatively quiet postseason, scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's win over the Canadiens. He now has five points, including two goals, in 10 games.
Analysis: Honestly, we expected a bit more to this point, but perhaps this two-point effort is the start of something nice.

Bruins' Eriksson Closes Out On Good Note

News: Loui Eriksson notched a minus-2 rating but contributed a goal and an assist in Sunday's loss to New Jersey.
Analysis: Perhaps this little outburst to end the regular season is good news for head coach Claude Julien and his heavily favored playoff-bound Bruins. Previously a near-30 goal-scorer, Loui Eriksson just barely eeks out a 10-goal (37 points) campaign in his first season with Boston.

Bruins' Eriksson Tallies On Tuesday

News: Loui Eriksson scored a goal in Tuesday's shootout loss to the Wild.
Analysis: With the Bruins electing to rest center David Krejci, Loui Eriksson skated with Milan Lucic and Carl Soderberg on Tuesday, while also seeing 3:48 worth of power play ice time. With three games remaining on their regular season slate, look for the Bruins to continue to selectively rest key players (a group that might include Eriksson) in advance of the playoffs.
