News: Marty Reasoner (hand) was activated from IR on Tuesday, ESPN's Katie Strang reports.
Analysis: Marty Reasoner is available for Islanders, but his five assists in 35 games make him unlikely to present any fantasy utility.

Johan Franzen, RW, DET
2/15/2012
News: Johan Franzen (ankle) practiced Tuesday and will be ready to play against the Stars on Tuesday night, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Wings' Howard Starting Saturday
Jimmy Howard, G, DET
2/15/2012
News: Jimmy Howard (finger) will start against the Sharks on Saturday, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: He continues to face shots in practice, but the previous suggestion that he could return Friday against Nashville appears to be moot. In
Jimmy Howard's absence, Joey MacDonald appears to have overtaken Ty Conklin for the backup role.
News: Ondrej Pavelec will start in net for the Jets, according to Rick Ralph of TSN.
Analysis: Ondrej Pavelec is only 3-3-1 in his career against the Islanders, but in his last outing against the club he stopped 31 of 33 shots.
Hawks' Hossa Looks To End Drought
Marian Hossa, RW, CHI
2/15/2012
News: Marian Hossa will try to end his six-game pointless streak on Tuesday against the Predators.
Analysis: The Predators might just be the trick for
Marian Hossa. The last time he scored a goal was eight games ago and that came on January 21 when he lit the lamp twice against Nashville. Hossa has five goals and nine assists in 25 games against the Predators.
News: Evgeni Nabokov will start between the pipes for the Islanders Tuesday against the Jets, according to the Isnalders' Official Twitter Page.

News: Jerome Samson was assigned to the AHL on Tuesday, Hurricanes.NHL.com reports.
Analysis: Jerome Samson has shown the ability to be fairly productive in the AHL (85 points in his last 94 games), so he could get another shot in the NHL not too long from now.
News: Corey Crawford will be on the bench Tuesday night as the Blackhawks go with Ray Emery in goal against the Predators, ESPN Chicago reported.
Analysis: This makes it back-to-back games with
Corey Crawford on the bench and emery getting the start. While Crawford has been sitting, it does not mean that Emery has moved to the number one spot. If Emery looks good against Nashville, it will be interesting to see who Blackhawks' coach Joel Quenneville goes with on Thursday night against the Rangers. The goalie situation is still fluid with both not playing well and also not being helped by the poor play of the Chicago defense recently.

News: Carolina recalled
Drayson Bowman on Tuesday, Hurricanes.NHL.com reports.
Analysis: Drayson Bowman is best avoided in fantasy leagues until he shows the ability to post better numbers than the six points (two goals) he has in 17 NHL appearances this year.
