If the SEC is soooo overrated then how do you explain a 4-4 (in the SEC) Georgia team beating the best team in the ACC? How do you explain South Carolina (a team with a losing record 3-5) dominating the second best team in the ACC? I have the answer, superior talent and superior coaching. To say the least, both of these teams hail from the terribly "weak" SEC East. Admit it haters, you got nothing. It will be proven in a month.
What will probably be proven in a month is that the SEC should have only sent 4 teams to bowls this year.
VS BCS conference teams:
Alabama (9-0), 2 wins vs ranked teams - #11 VT, #14/15 LSU Florida (9-0), 1 win vs a ranked team - #14/15 LSU LSU (6-3), 0 wins vs ranked teams UGA (6-5), 1 win vs a ranked team - #12 GT SCar (5-5), 1 win vs a ranked team - #25/NR Clemson Miss (4-4), 0 wins vs ranked teams Aub (4-5), 1 win vs a ranked team - #23/24 WVU UK (4-5), 0 wins vs ranked teams Ark (4-5), 0 wins vs ranked teams Tenn (4-5), 0 wins vs ranked teams Miss St (3-6), 0 wins vs ranked teams Vandy (0-9), 0 wins vs ranked teams
Bama, Florida, LSU, & Georgia are the only teams out of the SEC with winning records against BCS conference teams.
wrong, sc beat ole miss when they were top 10. POOOOOOOOOR zimmy the big ten has o wins over currently ranked teams ooc. It show's how sad you have to spin it to try to make a point. The haters are funny they still don't get what SUPERIOR recruiting means.
We shall see haters! By the way, the Big 10 is the weakest BCS conference, not the ACC. It is funny how the jealousy you all have for the SEC influences your posts. No objectivity what so ever. You were all saying the same thing last year, and the only bowl game lost was against Utah. It is the way of the world. Once again, the real national championship is played in Atlanta.
This is only because we havent played the bowl games yet. At which point, half of the SEC will be ranked. If you not going to count any of the previous rankings, you must omit the current rankings. They are all simply preliminary. Only the final rankings matter, and the will reflect a much different story after the SEC pwns the world in the bowl games.
Tell me why half of the SEC should be considered top 25 in the country when only FOUR teams in the SEC can even possibly get more than one game over .500 against BCS conference teams even with a bowl win?
Once the bowls come out, I will release my projections for the matchups and who will win. Last year I was DEAD on at 6-2. This year I think the SEC will lose 3 or 4, it is hard to win 9 or 10 bowls.
CZIMMY07, It is simple and plain. The middle of the road SEC teams can win conferences like the ACC, and Big 10. You of all fans on here should know that! When is the last time your beloved Bucks won against an SEC team? It has been a decade since they were even competitive. The thing you fail to recognize is the Bucks were heavily favored against "lesser competition" in those games. Only to get punched in the mouth and left for dead. Much like the OU offense last year, and Texas will not fair any better. Don't forget, USCe was pretty close to winning @ Bama. So was Tennessee. Arkansas in all reality bested Florida in the Swamp. These teams recruit from the deepest pool of players in the world, and they have the best coaching from top to bottom. Don't hate, congratulate!
If you are going to say that, point out some fact that was wrong instead of throwing out some stupid near preseason ranking for Mississippi to claim Scar beat 2 ranked teams. (If you'd just looked at the rankings I listed, you could have probably realized I was using current rankings, not preseason ones, because it wouldn't make any sense to use preseason rankings, would it?).
What next? Will you be trying to say that Tennessee beat a good Ohio team?
No but was that this year, or last year that the boys from Athens were beating OSU deep in the 3rd perhaps even the 4th quarter? I am willing to say that Tennessee could beat tOSU. They probably play better defense, and better offense. They also play a much tougher schedule. tOSU would be lucky to go bowling if they played Tennessee's schedule.
The only rankings that matter are the final rankings, so just wait to the end of the year. You will find that 6 or more SEC teams will be ranked at the completion of the season. After the teams win the vast majority of the bowls they are in, you can post your silly stats.
