The Kent State coaching staff, as well Fantasy owners, were overly excited to see Eugene Jarvis back in the fold in 2008 after he rushed for 1,669 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2007. Unfortunately, he disappointed many last season as a nagging ankle injury robbed him for the better part of four games. Once he was healthy, Jarvis then became more of a complement to dual-threat quarterback Julian Edelman in the rushing game. Jarvis finished the season with 165 carries for 801 yards and nine touchdowns, while adding 25 catches for 273 yards and one score. However, Jarvis did round back into form late in the season. Over the final five games, he had three 100-yard outings and 111 carries for 544 yards and eight rushing touchdowns. With Edelman out of the picture in 2009 and Jarvis finally healthy, he is once again expected to become the focal part of the rushing game. Jarvis is just the fourth player in Kent State history to rush for more than 3,000 yards. His 3,268 career total is second among active FBS rushers, trailing only Southern Miss' Damion Fletcher (4,287 yards). Jarvis has 16 100-yard rushing games in his career and should add to that total in '09. He is due for a big bounce-back season, so make Jarvis part of your Fantasy Draft Day plans.
