There is no doubt that when you talk in terms of Fantasy value, C.J. Spiller is choice No. 1 in Death Valley. Spiller has spent a few seasons splitting carries with dynamic runner James Davis. Davis averaged almost 58 rushing yards per game while Spiller notched just over 52. The team is Spiller's now with Davis gone, and you'd expect that to mean all the carries will go through him. Spiller, who sat out most of spring practice to run track, should definitely see a major boost in production in 2009, and that should make him a running back to target for the middle rounds of Fantasy drafts. We're still talking about Clemson, however, so watch for Andre Ellington to spell Spiller from time-to-time and possibly create another tandem situation. Should that happen, and that's what we're afraid of, Spiller's value would once again be that of a No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy option. Spiller put up nowhere near as impressive numbers Saturday against Kentucky in the 2009 Music City Bowl as he did versus Georgia Tech in this year's ACC Championship Game, but still managed to collect a combined 136 yards rushing and receiving and one touchdown in Clemson's 21-13 win over the Wildcats.
