If Nick Graziano never gets injured during the 2007 season, then Colin Kaepernick might not be in the position he is heading into 2009. Kaepernick solidified his role as Nevada's starting quarterback in 2008 as he became just the fifth player to pass for 2,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards. Graziano has transferred to Arkansas State, so there is no quarterback controversy heading into the season despite the fact Kaepernick missed spring practice while recovering from an ankle injury suffered in last season's bowl game against Maryland. With Kaepernick pulling the trigger, Nevada set team records for rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, rushing first downs and total offense in a season last year. Kaepernick passed for 2,849 yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions, while adding 1,130 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. He has become a master of the pistol offense and Fantasy superstar. Kapernick does his best work during WAC play, and despite losing top receivers Marko Mitchell and Mike McCoy, Kapernick is worth a flier in Fantasy leagues.
