Latest News
Chris Rainey returns in 2009 as Florida's top returning running back. He finished third on the team in 2008 with 652 yards, which trailed quarterback Tim Tebow's 673 yards and former wide receiver Percy Harvin's 660 yards. Rainey is as explosive a runner as you are going to find in college. He touched the ball just 84 times in '08, but averaged 7.8 yards per carry. Rainey's college career got off to an inauspicious start in 2007 as he received a medical hardship after suffering a devastating shoulder injury. He rebounded last season and now could be ready to take the next step with the departure of Harvin. Rainey will still share carries with Jeff Demps and Emmanuel Moody, so consider him nothing more than a low-end Fantasy option for deeper leagues. (Updated 6/15/09)
