Locke missed the final six games of the 2008 season after injuring his knee while returning a kickoff. It was a real shame because Locke was starting to breakthrough as a big-play back for Kentucky. The track star turned football player totaled 303 rushing yards, 195 receiving yards and two touchdowns (one rushing) before exiting the lineup. Locke missed all of spring practice recovering from knee surgery and will have to battle Alfonso Smith and Moncell Allen for carries when he does return in the fall. Locke has asked for an evaluation from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, but comments that he is "just gathering information."
