Oregon had quite the running game in 2008 with LaGarrette Blount, running back Jeremiah Johnson and quarterback Jeremiah Masoli. Johnson and Blount rushed for 1,000 yards, while the trio combined for 2,921 yards and 40 rushing touchdowns. After a few injury-plagued seasons, Johnson has graduated and now Blount becomes the focal part of the running game. Blount met expectations as an impact player in '08 after Oregon scooped him up off the junior college level. Blount had just four 100-yard rushing games but still managed to amass 1,002 yards. He also had six multi-touchdown games on his way to a team-high 17 rushing touchdowns. Blount is a bruising back at 6-foot-2, 240 pounds, so Oregon will still likely find someone to complement him in the backfield. Still, he is a huge touchdown threat and viable Fantasy running back.
