At 5-foot-7, 150 pounds soaking wet, Brandon Banks doesn't look the part of a big-time college wide receiver. But he is a speedy player with deceptive power to break tackles, and all you have to do is ask the competition about that. Banks was Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year in 2008 as he burned the opposition for 67 catches for 1,049 yards and nine touchdowns. KSU needed a go-to-guy after 2007 leading receiver Jordy Nelson matriculated to the NFL, and the Wildcats found that option in Banks after just one game when he posted three catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns in the opener against North Texas. Head coach Ron Prince and quarterback Josh Freeman are both gone, but new coach Bill Snyder is already raving about Banks' game-changing ability. Banks had six catches for 141 yards and one touchdown in the spring game. It looks as though he will be in good fortunes again in 2009, and that makes him a must-own Fantasy wide receiver.
